I pay far too much tax to have such a failing health care system. Put our money into this service, please.

Family doctors shouldn’t be penalized if patients need immediate care elsewhere

Those doctor programs that get penalized for their patience seeking help with other doctors, are the best doctors I’ve seen so far. They are not trying to force you out of their office as quickly as possible to get the next patient in. They spend the full 15 minutes talking to me about my health and getting to know me. If patients are getting derostered, it might be because they are unable to Show up on time for their appointments, or they are being rude and the doctor has every right to decide not to take them on as a patient anymore.

As a Canadian tax payer are we entitled to a family doctor. I’ve never had a family doctor.

If you are someone who requires a restricted drug for long-term use, the only option is to have a family doctor. Walk-in clinics and Emergency Departments won't renew these prescriptions.

I find they are all idiots in their own special ways , I have 3 I visit for different issues. I’m from Alberta, the training seems to gone to nothing and the disrespect is top notch

In the last number of years, nurse practitioners have had the right to do more of what they need to be able to do. If you cannot find a family doctor, you might be better off with a nurse practitioner anyway. Just something to check out.

If you live in Ottawa, contact Tartan Medical. They have a 3 to 6-month waiting list for those who don't have a family doctor presently.

I got accused of de rostering , my family doctor dumped me and I needed help from a doctor tie for my health problems, there is nothing you can do about it , so I finally found another family doctor and life goes on .

Does this happen in BC?
