My Failure Resume | Ankur Warikoo

It gives me immense pleasure each time I see you all showering love on my videos. But what you see is the outside. What is the reality, is the failures I had endured to get here.
A resume is such an interesting document. It is a showcase of all the great things you have done. But it never talks about how you reached there - through your failures.
This is my failure resume. To show you as honestly as possible, about how I got here.

This is probably by far the best video that you had ever made, cause people should know that successful people are not the ones who don't make mistakes, they are the one who keep trying after so many failures, cause when I see your video where you were trying to educate others as a gyaani, it used to tell me that this guy thinks and feels life is in our control as his, but glad to know you had a bitter test of life too... Thanks for sharing.

Your story telling is as well captivating, specially because you are always so authentic and humble.

Like that video in which you're telling "everything will be okay" to the people in their 20s, in this one too, my eyes got teary at the end. At least you took the risks, fought and failed. It hurts at the later stages of life, if one does not take the risks, and those incidents convert to regrets when he/she thinks of past. Hats off to you sir for this video💯🙌. One requires courage to share his/her 'failure resume' on a public platform.

Hi Ankur! Would like to say a few things here. 1. Throughout all your challenges your wife and son were by your side offering you support. You should cherish this. 2. There are people out there who have no sense of direction, or goals, throughout age groups; be it education or career or Love or life in general. But you have constantly tried and failed and then taken conscious decisions to try elsewhere. The idea is to not sit idle. You would never get anywhere unless you tried. I would like to leave you with a quote which has stuck with me over the years from my Engg lecturer Mr. Srinidhi - " Failure is never ending and success is never permanent!" Wish you the best!

Thank you once again!!! 🙏 And yes keep adding value to others life. 😊👍 You taught me a lot ❤️

I think every failure took you closer to understanding yourself. It made you self-aware. I think no one can have success in a straight line and in your video, the parts where you were back to situations like "no money, no plan, no direction" tell a lot about your hustle to this day. Every decision took you to a path where you were forced to rethink and make a new decision. Every time you had forced yourself to make a decision that felt right at that time and I think you have never looked back after taking the decision even though you have faced social pressure. Thank you for this video. I think we didn't know a lot about your 2010-2020 period. Now we know. :)

Ohhhhhh huge respect for all situations and conditions you gone through, it's really hard to explain such things, in one month 11cr ohhhhhhhh, most of the people in the world if they face this they will take shortcut and end life at that moment. But you came back and now stand on your feet 🙏🙏🙏. Huge respect 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

Thank you, raw and pure, no fake humility or chest thumping of great resilience after so many failures. I'm 46 myself and have had many failures, taken wrong decisions, had self destructive mentality, now I realise how many things could have gone wrong for me even in my successes but God's grace and someone's prayers, I'm doing well. As you said, I too feel extremely lucky and am ever grateful to God, my parents and all the positive influences in my life Thank you Ankur. I'm sure this video will help someone who needs a lift after a failure and similarly help someone who needs grounding after a little success.

Thank you for your genuinity and laying bare your scars for us to see. This video hits the bubble of our preconceptions of making it in life really hard and gives the message how courageous we have to be even when it seems likevthere is no way to go. This is the real grind.

A row of failures...literally it just shooked me up as I was watching the video...ANKUR,hatts off to you sharing such an experience needs a lot of gut to express.I do cry for the smallest thing which happens bad to me ,but listening to you I came to know that life is big to hustle, try ,run ,walk and do all of it,there is no age that determines when you would succeed and it probably depends onto us ,the way we look at things. Having had multiple failures in a row, still not losing hope and trying hard to settle out things needs a lot of guts’ man and you are a live example of that.I learn a lot from you,I do see you as one of my mentor 🙇🙇 Thanks!

So I'm 23 years old, currently taking a gap year and I don't even know why I'm taking a gap year. After passing class 12, I had no idea what to do in life. And basically we all have only two options: engineering or medical. So I took a drop year for engineering, and started preparing for JEE. First few months I was doing really well. But then slowly I started losing interest, I realised that I am not interested in engineering. I gave JEE mains, and didn't even qualify. I wasn't sad because I realised I don't have any interest in it. But my parents, especially my dad was very furious. Then I decided to go for bsc biotechnology. And at that time I also didn't know if I was actually interested in biotechnology. Everyone was discussing about biotech at that time so I took it. I joined college, made some friends for the first time in my life(I am an shy introvert) and everything seemed pretty well. Then I gave first semester exam and it was disastrous. I didn't understand anything, it was too hard for me. I could have dropped out from the course, but no my foolish mind said no. Also my two closest friends dropped out at that time and it was the most heartbreaking moment for me since I didn't make any more friends. I was all alone, sad, disheartened, and hopeless. I had no idea what to do in life. Only because of COVID I got a good percentage else I would have definitely failed. After graduating I realised that I'm not even interested in biology in the first place. I just wasted three years studying something I don't even like. Now I'm taking a gap year and I have no idea what to do in life. I feel like ending my life. 😔😔😔 Anyway thanks for reading.

Ankur, this is my first comment on any of your videos. I am so glad I saw this. Everyday for me had become unbearable thinking about what a failure I am and how I have let my parents down and never made them proud. This video brought me to tears on how normal you have been & yet you are someone so many of us look up to, because you’re literally killing it in your career. I always thought I was “above average” but yet couldn’t do much to prove it, but I guess normal is good and we all are working at our own timelines. Gotta just keep moving. The Ankur Warikoo we see wasn’t born this way, he toiled hard and became it. Thank you!
