@@shahinebarnes7062 while I agree I also believe there should be much harsher penalties for crimes like false accusations etc depending on the gravity of the crime. Many people's entire lives are ruined by their spiritual image being destroyed and is just as bad if not sometimes even worse. If that can be imagined like a man who gets life in prison for false rape aligations because of political reasons like officer Daniel who is currently serving 3 life sentences on a completely false narritve and there are many more. Really bad things happen to those guys in prison for that type of crime accusation. There are also women in prison for the same type of false aligations although much more rare. As well physical abuse and constant harassment against men are not taken seriously and men have died over it. My own cousin was shot in the groin by his ex wife with police issued hand gun and he almost bled out before being life flighted and had to have many surgeries. It was an ongoing abuse because he cheated on her after she did to him which both are wrong in that but she severely crossed the line. She only lost her job and sat in jail for a few weeks really because of other charges (fraud) but cps took the kids away him.

Acid attacks should be a mandatory life sentence without parole. I'm pissed off that they are anything less. If anything, he just furthered her career! I think everyone in the UK knows Katie Piper now. She's in ads for beauty and hair products, like Pantene. She's on nationwide programs. Her story is well known and she is a beloved public figure. I had never heard of her before the program about her acid attack aird, but now she is everywhere! She's such a kind hearted person, from the look of things, and she deserves good things!

It's so bizarre, that a third party would attack someone on someone else's behest, especially when it's so horrific involving acid. I think it shows her nature as well, in that she originally thought her attacker was begging, and her intention was to give money to help him. It was so cruel, evil and vindictive. I think she has been incredibly brave in her recovery, and I'm so happy she has found love and become a mother❤

Sometimes stopping to feel sorry for someone is a big mistake. Someone once told me stop feeling sorry for people. Years later I realize how true that is. Keep it walking!!!😢

Imagine being so self centered you do this to a person over a break up after two weeks. The entitlement makes me want to vomit. She’s incredible and Danny lynch should be rotting in jail forever.

This poor girl. I admire her immensely, she is real inspiration. Her life now is testament to her.

I am so deeply thankful that the doctors and nurses, her family and all of the companies and individuals that supported her in such a time of need. I don't know her but I can't help but feel supportive of her. Seeing her beautiful smile and hearing about her success is heart warming. Miss Katie thank you for being strong enough to keep moving forward and growing. You're a most excellent role model.

She’s still very beautiful. Yes, her skin is stretched and it seems a bit painful, but to be honest she doesn’t look ugly or anything. The way she speaks, her hair, how she behaves, the structure of her face.. Imagine being so attractive even after getting splashed with chemicals you still look good, man I could never 😭 I wish her a painless and fast recovery.

Very strong woman, so impressed. I was diagnosed a bit over a year ago with multiple sclerosis, 3 weeks after covid infection. My first relapse has left me blind in my left eye - watching this gives me hope for the future. Her mental strength is incredible :)

The creep that commited this crime should've been terminated. For that poor girl to have to worry about this monster's release after what he has done is reason enough to end him.

Such a strong woman. When I was a kid, I bought her book and it really showed me that no matter what happens, don't stop chasing your dreams; you'll find a new way to be happy again. No one has the right to determine the course of your life

It really crushes me to hear her story, cause of her attack, and she's always been beautiful either way, she's a nice, kind and beautiful woman inside and outside, she's the type of women that you don't see around very often and I just wish her all the happiness she can get, she truly deserves it.

This is so upsetting. Reminds me of past relationships and how toxic they were and how hard they made it to walk away from them. I’m so thankful to be free from the toxicity and on a single spiritual journey.

I used to be scared (actually, still am scared) and would only stare until one day I actually approached someone and talked with them. They let me know how much it means to them that they now knew why I was staring at them.

Yeah he's out but I doubt he's rich and successful like she is. She has an amazing career in TV and he's a loser with a criminal record, who probably will struggle to get a job now. He'll probably return to crime and go back to prison, Also no woman will want him now they know what he's done. He'll be able to get the lowest level girlfriend, maybe if he hadn't have been cruel he could still date beautiful, educated girls like her... He won't now. She's married with kids to a handsome man, she's a top earner with a fun and meaningful career in TV and helping others. She has a fan base of people who love her. With the surgery in my opinion she looks beautiful, and she will still get skin grafts when she's old, so might end up looking younger than others in her age bracket when she's old. Yes her surgeries are extremely traumatic, yes she lost her full beauty potential. Yes she's blind in one eye.But you can still see she's very beautiful and she's so much stronger and more interesting as a person because of what she's been through. He is a cruel nobody.

This is exactly why I dont do facebook, its literally a gateway for creeps to find you from any where in the world, they see your profile and then bam you have a stalker.

Katie is a national treasure in UK, she’s come so far, helped so many people, is sweet and kind and lovely and has a great husband and kids now. I read her book a few years ago, and I’ve followed and admired her as a great strong woman ever since. She has become a great role model for girls.

David Lynche, the ex boyfriend is serving life in prison. He had a prior offense of throwing boiling water on someone. Stefan Syvestre, the acid thrower, served 9 years and is out of prison

For once, I think the heavy handed prison sentence of the American justice system should have been handed out in this case. I don't know why the hitman should have a lighter sentence than the ex- boyfriend

This is why I will not accept a friend request from anyone on Facebook unless I have know them for a long time personally. I'm glad she was able to make a life for herself after that vicious attack from that monster.

It is not ony about strangers on facebook. Everyone, who comes in your life, like your new neighbour or your new working collegue can be sick in their head.

It is amazing how well she looks now. Her face and spirit have been restored through science and her courage. God bless her and her family.

Her life changed dramatically, she spent 7 weeks in the burns unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, unable to do anything for herself. Doctors put her into an induced coma, and she spent 10 days in intensive care

I believe she looks even more beautiful, it’s her spirit shining through. To GOD be the glory for this woman and her testimony.

I have been watching her help people in "Our lives" and really wanted to hear about her own story, it is horrible that some people seek to destroy what they can't have...but like a phoenix rising from the ashes, here she is blossoming and having huge impacts in other people's lives...

Looks like he failed in his mission!She still found success and got married to someone that isn’t immature, petty, vengeful and vindictive! Happiness and to truly be loved by someone that isn’t insecure and to be safe and to feel safe is what she deserves! He tried to rob her of that out of sheer jealousy!Looks like he will never succeed or be happy!

Wrong. This is a man's problem. This happens all over the world. Where women don't have rights and there are no consequences for abuse. They literally beat them everyday for no reason, just for them to live in fear and don't try to escape. Such a horrible thing to do to someone, because of jealousy, anger and rage. It's a miracle that she did not die from this attack. Awesome to see how she was determined to live and not allow this man to ruin her life. My prayer is that women are more careful who they choose to date, especially from social media or these dating apps. Also, I hope what people take away from what she went through is that, it is not about a person's looks or image, it's what their personality, or character is all about, and how they treat you from the beginning. The bible says it best, Man looks at the outward appearance, but God, looks at the heart!

agree . in india and srilanka people use acid attack even for small reason . if someone get rich or teenager got selected university some enemies do such horrible thing . main reason is jealousy .

I can't begin to tell you how much I needed to hear your message about when you lose the chance to live out something you've worked really hard to achieve! In 2000 I had worked at my dream job for 9 months, then I was was in a horrific car accident caused by my brother not paying attention to the road! It took over 6 months for my doctor to release me! I feet like my brother ruined my life! Even though I know things happen for a reason, the pain of losing my absolute dream job still hurts pretty bad! I'm so glad I heard your message, and I'm so proud of everything that you've achieved and showing those 2 losers that they didn't win!
