Here’s the thing about growing up in NY especially in the 70’s-80’s: If you was there you more than likely grew up with a future celebrity. Bimmy grew up with Mark Jackson, LL Cool J and others. Fat Joe grew up in the same projects with KoKo from SWV. Marlon Wayans and Omar Epps became best friends in high school. Malik Yoba and Dame Dash grew together in the same apartment building. There are way more examples but that’s just a few.

By far the best interview I’ve seen on here , quite possibly because this was my era . I’m white but I was connected with many from their era because I built high line specialized vehicles for everyone from entertainment , sports industry , to every level of the streets clientele . All good people that some took a bad turn . It’s refreshing to see someone sit up there and tell the stories that most people try to hide when they make it out of the trenches . Nyc is a big city but there’s only a small amount of top of the food chain dudes out there and they all know each other . It’s crazy . Bimmy made it out cause he remained solid at every level of his life . Keep it up Sir . Math and the fellas you guys are killing it . May the new year coming up be even better .

I feel this is timeless. A moment that we rarely get to see and hear. That is a generational respect where everyone can actually hear each other. If the truth is 360 degrees of perspective, Math and the crew have it covered. Respect to all the strong brown men who have the desire to really absorb and overstand each perspective. Though we each have a filter, here everyone is respectful enough to actively listen and express their own commentary on the situation. No coincidence the setting is a barber shop; one of the last vestiges of what you could call a tribal campfire. Everyone can be heard and can feel free to really say what they mean. This is indeed a blessing and though we have the same chaos in life as any other point in our-story, here it is the timing. Math, I don't see a limit to how this can really bring us together and enlighten those willing to give and take. Blessed to be here in this time. Respect to all you kings watching and speaking your truths. About time we dissolved the borders between us. The community needs more of this. 🤲🏾

I like to think about that last moment like a trailer/movie, and then from 50-100’ away it’s just light, like a star shining back at you magnified onto a screen through space and time ..
