Thank you so much for sharing. I am 53, have lived with this for as long as I can remember. It’s gotten worse the past 6 months. Last one was 210 beats per minute for 2 hours. Seeing doctor next week to discuss options. It was great hearing your story. The best is yet to be.

You made the right choice. You’re young and believe me it gets worse as you get older.. its taken years of my life bcs the cardiologists in the uk will do anything rather than do an ablation. Makes me sick. In a day or so my last chance with a new cardiologist.. i pray he will suggest an ablation. I dont just get svt, it sets off ectopics so a double wammer. Go and have your ablation.. you need to be able to live. X

I had my first attack when I was 11 while I was at the beach, my heart rate reached up to 200 bmp, I felt as if I was going to die. I visited the cardiologist multiple times trying different tests, each time having no luck. They told me I most likely have SVT, but we were never able to catch it. I’m now 14 and haven’t had another one since, but I constantly have heart palpitations that last 30 seconds to a minute long. I think I’m fine 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I don’t really know but I stay away from caffeine and sodas bc they make my heart palpitate more than it normally does.

oh wow ok! I would definitely keep an eye on it! SVT is not life-threatening, but it is always good to get your heart checked or wear a heart monitor!

I have SVT I was diagnosed at the age of 10. I took the beta blockers for 18 years. My attacks happened once a week from ages 10-15 and only have one a year after that. The last attack I had was in 2015 up until yesterday I had one that lasted 15mins. I'm 33 years old now and serious thinking about the ablation.

It is definitely worth it! I am so much better because of the ablation and can live a normal life now. Yeah I tried the beta-blockers but they did not help me too much. They slowed my heart rate down but I was actually having SVT episodes more often.

Hey I am glad to have made a video that is comforting to those with SVT! No I have not! There is no reason that my SVT should come back ever again my doctor said. I get scared it might but I have to trust myself and my body that I am ok now. Knowing that SVT is not dangerous is really helpful. Educating yourself is key. SVT is super annoying and made me very anxious, but I guarantee life will get better! If you have SVT, try an ablation. It is super safe and very effective! :

Did you have the ablation? I actually had the ablation in 2004, and it was very successful! I lived with it for 10 years before I went to a DR. The only reason I went was because my last attack lasted 4 hours and my rate was 252. I went to the hospital and had to get the adenosine. It worked on the first try. That’s when I started seeing a cardiologist and went for the ablation. It was so successful that I wish I had done it sooner. I was 15 when it started for me

Is your SVT triggers with exercise like walking? or it comes without any reason like even when you're resting. Thank you i hope you could answer me. Get well ♥

Hi there! Thankfully I got an ablation so the svt is gone now, but when I did have it, I would say maybe 75% of the time it seemed triggered by me exercising, especially if I moved quickly or bent over to pick something up. The longer I had it though, the more it happened anytime. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions I am happy to help! ❤️

Check with the chiropractor first, doctors don't have the information about the spine and how the nervous system make the heart work.
