Every team that's in the Semi Finals deserves to be there, they might not play fast open fluid football we all like to watch but saying they don't deserve to be there is harsh, France has seen off Portugal and Belgium, Holland have seen off a very dangerous Turkish side, England has come from the jaws of defeat twice and against a very well drilled Swiss team who was minutes away from beating Germany in the group stage. Spain has played the best football but that doesn't mean they deserve to win, i look at Arsenal in the Wenger era that played beautiful football and lost the league multiple times to Utd, a team that just knew how to win games and that's all that matters. Not once have i heard anyone mention Portugal and how they scraped by in 2016 and won the tournament, they didn't even win any group games and that's because no one remembers how tournaments are won just who wins them

I would have even accepted it if France scored all penalties to go through, but they got winning own goals FGS. The reason France is in the Semis is that they have the best defence record in the tournament, good attackers win you games good defences win you tournaments. That’s why I loved R9, CR7, Messi, Hazard, and co. I am definitely not a France fan, and don’t watch football to watch solid defense. My motivation to watch football is how crazy attackers break defenses to score goals that I’ll watch and rewatch over and over. If that means, I don’t understand ball, so be it. I’ll still crave for the crazy defense-breaking runs of Mbappe to score a finesse past the goalie. And as for Spain in 2010, they did not scrape through, like France or England now. They dominated the midfield to frustrate opponents. Yes, they were boring, but they didn’t struggle.

I think that with Spain and France facing each other with those missing from Spain and France following almost the same fortune that England has gained, Spain will score and punish France by scoring early forcing France to actually score from open play against a less cohesive back line( or get a penalty) where international Mbappe actually looks like his normal self. As a Dutch guy, i have to agree with you on this, even if i don’t want to. England played hella ass Southgateball but we haven’t impressed either. Idk why Koeman doesn’t play Frimpong or Malen on the right flank and why he still chooses Depay to start. Why doesn’t Weghorst or Zirkzee start instead of him who had a great season at bologna? Like you said ‘just choose your best players’. I don't get why Koeman doesn't start Frimpong, and instead keeps using Dumfries as a wingback when Frimpong was one of the best wingbacks in Europe last season. If you want to attack just start Frimpong and sub Dumfries later on for that defensive presence.

As for ‘boring games’ that only matters to neutrals and a football team has no obligation to entertain anyone let alone neutrals. Italy and Germany’ remarkable WC and Euro success on playing boring football, playing poorly, scraping, narrow, victories, against weak opponents, drawing games. Catennacio is the most boring style of football yet is ingrained in Italy’s history. I appreciate you're a relative newbie to football but if you knew your history you would know that Italy and Germany have made their histories on playing poorly yet winning tournaments. Meanwhile flair teams like Holland and (until 2008-2012_ Spain have historically been been great to watch yet fail. England used to be like Holland and Spain (70, 86, 90, 96, 98 an with the golden generation of 04-14) but now they're doing what the Germans and Italians have done and its paying off.

Switzerland are a great team, but England should be beating them with the amount of talent they have. Every team that's in the Semi Finals deserves to be there, they might not play fast open fluid football we all like to watch but saying they don't deserve to be there is harsh, France has seen off Portugal and Belgium, Holland have seen off a very dangerous Turkish side, England has come from the jaws of defeat twice and against a very well drilled Swiss team who was minutes away from beating Germany in the group stage. Spain has played the best football but that doesn't mean they deserve to win, i look at Arsenal in the Wenger era that played beautiful football and lost the league multiple times to Utd, a team that just knew how to win games and that's all that matters. Not once have i heard anyone mention Portugal and how they scraped by in 2016 and won the tournament, they didn't even win any group games and that's because no one remembers how tournaments are won just who wins them

That’s why I loved R9, CR7, Messi, Hazard, and co. I am definitely not a France fan, and don’t watch football to watch solid defense. This guy hates England. Its hilarious. They have the best starting 11 in the tournament. Bellingham, Saka, Foden, Kane, Walker, Stones, Alexander-Arnold etc are all world class. I agree they are playing boring football and it's poor, but it's the Southgate way. At least try to pretend to be impartial rather than show your England hate.

In total, England has only won 1 game in 90 mins (against Serbia). Rest were either a draw or extra time/penalties.

I appreciate you're a relative newbie to football but if you knew your history you would know that Italy and Germany have made their histories on playing poorly yet winning tournaments. Meanwhile flair teams like Holland and (until 2008-2012_ Spain have historically been been great to watch yet fail. England used to be like Holland and Spain (70, 86, 90, 96, 98 an with the golden generation of 04-14) but now they're doing what the Germans and Italians have done and its paying off.

But England also only played teams that hadn't had the highest market value. That's the first team in the Euros that is more worth then 700mio Spain now will play the 4th team that has a high value

Switzerland did not play better than England and infact were just as defensive as england
People keep saying France & England are the same even tho England had the easiest road in history. France had group of death followed by Belgium, Portugal and now Spain.

“What is it with England”? They’ve had the easiest draw possible. It is kind of crazy how they score when they need it. They have that kind of quality, but overall they are so timid and just lack personality. I don’t think they would reach the final if they were on the other side of the draw

easiest draw possible, right. swiss drew 1-1 with Germany and bullied italy for 90 minutes. the Danes were in complete control against Germany also until the ref gifted them the lead.

@@Espeo It's relatively easy. Team just don't have the attacking quality to hurt you. We can be in denial and say otherwise but it's true. You're telling me you would rather play Germany/Spain and France/Portugal than Slovakia and Switzerland? There's a reason they have been the favorite for bookies, because their path is relatively easy. With that said, Netherlands will be a tough game.

@@jamesog2858 It's all relative. You can't look at both sides of the draw and say that England didn't get lucky. Switzerland are a great team, but England should be beating them with the amount of talent they have. All of the teams that can challenge England when it comes to talent are on the other side of the draw.
I think Spain and Urguguay will win and it will be England Spain in the Euros final.
Hey they have elite talent just need moments of magic I hate Southgate but reality is England and Spain have better players

We lions gonna win from england i know they have a good team and all but they play like the netherlands a few years ago not the world cup but europa cup keep ball possession that the tactic but england gives a lot of low through balls after al the matches i've seen i think thats our weakness
