Been using your signature Bogren IR exclusively for the last week, it's been really great. It does seem very neutral to my ears but has that "Bogren" flavour and that's exactly what I look for lately.

Great rundown Euge! It's very close to what I'm trying to build at my home. I have a 9 x 18 side room next to my studio I'm wanting to sound proof one day or build an isolation booth in it so I can record live cabs as well, interesting to know at the end of the day many engineers prefer the live cabs over IRs and speaker modeling.

"800 is 800" - an "Euge is Euge"... What makes Euge so unique: There a are a lot oft enthusiastic gear nerds on KZread - but many of them don't seem to have any experience as a gigging musician. Then there are some pros out here - but they seemingly want to show off with their skills rather than teach us something... Euge instead of this is offering so much inside information from his professional background and is sharing his experience. Unlike others, he doesn't hold back his "secrets" (knowing, that the "biggest secret" lies within the hands of a good guitarist anyway). In an environment of self-promoters this is rather unusual and can't be appriciated enough.

Great suff in here! The radial stuff is interesting. I assumed you ran the mic cab's XLR's direct into your board.... very cool. So since each 2:1 box takes 2 mic in's, I would assume that the fredman tecnique uses one 2:1 box, the 421 and e906 take up one 2:1 box and the ribon mic is conneced directly to the catapult mini? Ever thought of offering your own IR pack's off of your setup? Thanks for the studio update, very very interesting!

what did you think of the JST DI match plugin, especially the active pick up simulation I tried matching your guitar source and while it seemed close I can hear some artificial hollow type of effect, not much much latency but not exactly matched, it also does not show a EQ match that seems identical which would be good, the active pick up part seems to be a nice booster even on a clean channel and I had a cooked up plugin with greenscreemer which sounded like a Marshall 2550 clean channel when I matched it to a clean guitar track which was impressive for a DI or EQ match type of thing.

Nice studio Euge, what model KHE amp switcher are you using? The ASC 8 or ACS 8x4?

Can’t remember the model number but the one where you can hook 8 amps & 2 cabs 👌.

Hi. How was Sweden Rock? Do you run that VR1 at higher volumes, it can take it being a ribbon mic? Dont stop making videos, its gold content.

Coolest setup! 👌👌 Have you ever tried the St rock with headphones? I was thinking if getting a Captor X but in all of the comparisons i've seen it sounds too thin. Maybe this is the one to go for instead? 🤔

Thanks! Yeah it works great. In my experience it’s not as much about the device (the top ones are all really good) but the IR. Sounds thin? Turn more low end from the amp and / or choose an IR that has more balls 💪👌.

Excellent video, thanks for the tour! I was watching through the time line and I saw you use Logic, but I don't think you mentioned the computer you're using? I was wondering have you switched over to M1 or M2 and if so how much ram are you running 64? Thanks!

Hi Euge. Great material (as always). Do you prefer cab micing over IRs nowadays (or maybe hybrid of both)?

I`ve got recenty a Mesa Rectifier and it`s fully humming with my 1960 Marshall cab. I`ve tried with Noise gate + Eq but I`m not satisfied. what do you suggest? what`s another alternative for the KHE switcher ?Thank you :).

The Revv G8 is one of the newest noisegates out, it doesn't change your tone and is super quiet. As for the head switcher I'd say a Radial headbone tonebone, but it's for only two heads.

My favourite gate is the Fortin Zuul which I have on my board. The key input is the key 😎: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXpq3JqmqpC7Xag.html Not sure but I guess Ampede (or whatever it’s called) makes those and Kruse Kontrol too. This was just quickly Googling ”amp switchers” but I’m pretty sure there’s others too.

This is probably a dumb question but how do you capture your speech for your videos? Recording guitar to me makes sense because thr mics are right there on the cab or you run thru an IR. But capturing your voice talking in the middle of a room without seeing a mic right by your face?
