I would like to see the vid from a 3rd person POV. I would’ve liked to seen how the trimmer & blower look as they’re hooked to your strap

Just purchased my Ego leaf blower and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where the strap was supposed to connect to. Your video helped me figure it out, thank you! Attaching the strap to the black area is where I initially thought it should attach to, but then I figured it wouldn't be the ideal location because of the gap which you highlight in the video. I guess it is the right place and I agree with you, this is a design flaw.

If that debris is just from the edging, you can do your edging first, then blow the debris onto the lawn, and then mow. That way, there is no need to sweep anything up.

I have the EGO ST1623T trimmer. I thought this video was supposed to be about using the shoulder strap--including how to attach it to the EGO device and proper shoulder placement to get the best results. There are no pictures in the video of any of this. I did see how you attached it to your trimmer--but with no explanation. I know how to use the blower. Maybe you should change the title of this video. :(

Curious as to how your wearing the strap with the trimmer. Just got mine today with the strap. Do you hang it just off the right shoulder, or do you go left shoulder across the body. Hope thats a clear description.

Hi John, I hang it off my left across my body, just loosen it enough to hang at the right height. Let me know how it works out. It took me a few tweaks to get it right.

Tech Made Easy Today I was able to finally get out and use my new EGO mower, and unfortunately was NOT impressed at all! Just not what I was expecting. Felt like a toy. Very poor suction, grass clipping left behind everywhere. Mower is almost too light in weight. Uneven cuts. It was just an F grade all the way a around for me unfortunately! Honda mower here I come! Should have stuck with my gut feeling and bought a Honda in the first place. Oh well.

@@tundrawhisperer4821 the key with the Ego mower is you have to make sure you aren’t being lackadaisical in how you hold the handle while pushing. If you aren’t careful, you can be pushing down on the handle which will cause the front of the mower to lift up and hurt the quality of your cut. So I hold the handle from the bottom, palm up. That way I’m applying an upward pressure on the handle which will keep a downward pressure on the front. The other thing is to replace the standard blade with the high lift blade. I did that and using the bagger, I don’t have any clippings left on the lawn at all. If you are a mulcher, you can even modify the mower to do the two blade system - there are a couple of videos that show you how to do that.

As a person that rides motorcycles , I thank you for not blowing your lawn trimmings in the street. Grass, even on asphalt is as slippery as ice. You may want to warn your neighbors about it also. I would hate to see a motorcyclist go down because of it or have one of your neighbors have their children hit because their child ran out in the road in front of a motorcyclist that couldn't stop because of grass trimmings in the street.. In my town, it's against the law to blow grass trimmings into the street because of that. And I'm sure you'll find that even in your town it's against the law too, even if it's only because of littering laws
