The little rectangular square intake hole to the tank would get clogged all the time with dog hair...cleaned the filter really good and good as new. Love this vac!!

Yeah always have extra filters. Also clean out the guts quarterly. Air compressors great for this.

If your rear filter is getting anywhere near that clogged, there is something wrong. It's there to capture the minute particles, not sawdust. Not to mention that it should be routinely cleaned well before it can noticeably affect the suction.

I used sawdust to illustrate a clogged filter. I was able to clog the filter by sucking up sawdust over and over for a half hour opposed to waiting another 6 months for it to naturally clog from vacuuming the house. I know what you mean though.

@@chrisnotap Really. I've got an earlier model and the vacuum simply doesn't let anywhere near that size of particle past the bin and out to the filter. I guess they've compromised somewhere in later models in their desire to up run time, suction pressure etc. Handy to know.

I don't have a dyson handheld vacuum. I don't have any dyson anything. Perhaps that small one on a handle with long brushes would be great for cleaning my laser printer. Great video

Even on their corded vacuums, buy an extra filter. The internals will also accumulate stuff over time, reducing internal airflows. They need cleaned out quarterly.

Same with replacing the battery, WAY cheaper available that works almost as factory

It's in the description under the video. On your Phone, click the down arrow to the right under the video, then click "more". On your Desktop, click "show more" under the video. On your iPad, to the right under the video, you'll see a little down arrow. Click on it. A window will open to the right of the video. In that window you'll see the word "MORE". Click on it and you'll see the links there. I hope that helps!!

I have a Dyson I have tried all of your suggestions . Took a air hose blew out everything I could get with a blow gun. Washed all the filters that are washable and let dry thoroughly . Still have a pulsating Dyson. What other suggestions if any can I try? Thanks

Get a flashlight and have a really good look inside the vacuum, inside the tube and in the carpet head. Use a pen or pencil to probe if necessary.

Depending on the model, it may have more than one filter.
