@@jacobsills8257 Safariland eats very well . My department issues Safariland holsters & I have one for multiple different pistols which is where the qls system rock's . I use a T-Rex Arm's Sidecar for off duty edc aiwb but for duty holsters Safariland is the best . In the National Guard we used the Blackhawk serpa for our sidearm but I believe the Army anyway has completely switched to the Safariland als/sls level 3 .

Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but the surefire light switch for the X200/300 you have is the SF (Special Forces “Delta”) Switch. The more common one DG (DevGru “Team 6”) Switch. I remember seeing one years ago on Hackathorn’s 1911, when asked said something to the sort. I remember trying to find one online but was unable to. Guess surefire only made a small batch and got better feedback on the DG Switch. I do remember liking the SF Switch better though, if you don’t want it I’ll take it off your hands.

I really like that although they usually have to be dragged kicking and screaming into change, Departments are coming on to pistol optics. (Same as pistol lights some years back)

Out of the box. The trp operator is the best 1911 made without buying a 3k plus custom 1911. Hands down. My favorite hand gun I own

Lookin to buy one of these. I already carry the Range Officer Compact in 9mm as an edc and love it. But then I’m an old Vietnam era Marine grunt, there’s probably no help for me anyway 😎✌️. Thanks for the info.

The Surefire 1911 switch you are asking about is called the TG-11. I had two, sent one back to them for a broken lug and they sent me a DG switch back, because they discontinued it. If I'd had known that, I would have never sent back. DG swict collects dust. TG-11 works great on Glock/HK platforms.

Andrew Do yeah I guess there is a new version called the DG18a. Check it out. Another person commented about it. Surefire told me the one I have is discontinued also.

I really like how LVMPD lets you use 1911s, most departments just give you one or two options, but humans aren’t robots so we need different firearm platforms.

Great info and I agree! One of the best 1911 I have fired. I just ordered mine along with my Surefire 300u and was wondering the model # of the holster you use?

Springfield makes some awesome 1911s, though I did have to go with Colt for myself. Not a shot against Springfield, I just preferred the Colt... though sadly Safariland doesn't make an ALS holster for my Colt Rail Gun....

Claude Crump it’s the same Holster I’m running in this video brotha. Safariland 6390-560. Order it for a Springfield operator with X300u light. I have a colt rail gun in shop today with an X300u and it fits like a glove.

Surefire had three different model grip switches for the X Series lights. The one you have (oldest), the second which had a "U" shape which placed a pad on both the left and right side grip around the magazine release area and the third and final switch which was the latest design and is still in use, the DG Switch (DevGru). The DG-18A should fit the TRP. They have about 20 models of that switch for many different handguns.

The slide to frame fit of my TRP is every bit as tight as my Wilson or Nighthawk. Change the few MIM parts that come in the gun and guide rod with Wilson Bullet Proof parts and it's perfect.
