Not only is ducks "nibbling" you a sign of pure love (its preening), but whenever they bob their heads up and down, its because theyre extremely happy, and they want attention from you. So as others have noted, Garbonzo is just stupidly happy to be there and love you so much. Its such a sweet sight.

I've a quaker parrot parrots are bipolar lol honestly though preening is a sign of affection and not aggression and biting is usually hormonal behaviour ensure he's getting enough sleep 12 hours at least feed plenty rest fruit and veg limit fatty foods and any warm mashy foods and remove boxes or nest material that can trigger his hormones. It all helped with my little man's aggression and hormonal

Garbanzo is nibbling your hand like that because he loves you! It's a high level adoration you've got going there from him. Nibbling your hands and feet is like duck kissies and telling you thank you and how much he loves you. It's not romantic (sorry Uncle Ben) but high level appreciation

When I had ducks they would nibble my hands too. Even when I had food in my hand, they would ignore the food and nibble at my arms. It's definitely affection. Dang now I really miss my ducks 🤗🦆🥺

Don’t know how anyone could give that duck up. He’s such a social happy little guy. Maybe they had to move to an apartment. But he couldn’t of ended up in a better place than with Uncle Ben. World class human demonstrating real love.

Hi; Ducks nibbling hands is more of an overall affection thing. They'll even do it when they're incredibly young hatchlings. All it means is he's finally fully warmed up to you and knows you aren't a threat. If he was looking for a mate, it would be in the pond and actively attempting to dunk your hand into the pond to assert dominance.

I remember serving in the military with Big Ounce and an IED went off and we both died. When he carried me to safety, I never thought I'd see him again.
