Last I checked no good factory 8S batteries… I’m still making all of mine myself. Once this changes, (and motors) maybe… but racers have been testing 8S since 2019… and we are literally in the same place as we were then… so realistically… I don’t see it happening. Also 6” on 8S is very difficult to do and to do it effectively you need to gain almost 50 grams in arm weight compared to 6S, for an optimized lower current motor. It’s honestly a lot of extra work. And people are lazy 😜 I design our motors and can tell you, as long as there is 4S demand there won’t be widespread 8S motor windings, no one wants to stock that much inventory in a tiny hobby.

@@lemonsquareFPV my comment was a bit of a joke. Mck needs faster quads. Interesting take on it though, it really is a small hobby after all. You even played with making custom motors? I wonder what a 5" freestyle could feel like on very low kv motors and aggressive props

@ sorry I’m a bit sleep deprived, went over my head 😜 Yeah I wind my own motors occasionally (mostly for repairs and the occasional KV changes), but generally just spec them and get them made. I like 1200ish KV on 5” for my freestyle builds and prefer low-medium pitch props, but honestly, that KV works perfectly for high pitch. Running 1450KV on the new 4.6” prop platform. For reference this is on light freestyle builds, without GoPro, and generally with a 760mAh battery, but 650-850mAh works ok too.
