    Julie, this is such a lovely little piece. Great addition to any space. How you don't have hundreds of thousands of followers is beyond me. Your work is so wonderful, and such great tutorials, explanations, measurements, etc. Just amazes me every time I watch a video. Not to mention your pleasing voice. Thank you so much for all you do. I've been MIA lately, but just wanted to share that, as I sat here and watched your video.

    What a practical and handsome piece - a nice addition to your space! Lots of practical tips in this episode as well. While I have always been fascinated by your creativity and craftsmanship, I find that your ability to apply a line of glue without mucking up the entire piece and both hands very enviable! Glue, paint and stain are the bane of my crafting existence.........You can tell I have been dabbling by looking at my hands, clothes and even the walls of my crafting space................

    Thanks George. Oh, believe me, I get covered in glue too! I don't think I've made a single piece without sticking my thumb in the glue! And so many pieces of clothing have got dried glue patches on them! :) I just don't always show it on camera!

    As I was listening to how you described the wall I was thinking why don't you do it like you did the cupboard under the stairs make the lawn counter stick out you know so you can sit and craft there but yet have the back of the cupboard slope with the roof that way you can have all kinds of storage space underneath and then you don't lose the angled space behind it just the thought

    I have a question trying to make a dollhouse and my main room is 40ft by 40ft so I think it would be 3 3/10 in then I go to the hall way in real life I have it at 50in ( side to side)but I put that I the dollhouse 1/12 calculator and it's saying it would be 4.17in thinking that is way wrong please help

  • @JulieWarren

    @JulieWarren

    2 жыл бұрын

    That actually sounds right, 50 inches is 4 foot 2 inches, so 4.17 is correct. It would be rather narrow though, so perhaps round it up to 5, or even 6 inches, so you can fit more furniture in! Hope that helps.

    Balsa isn't a 'soft' wood. It's classed as a hardwood due to the density.

  • @JulieWarren

    @JulieWarren

    2 жыл бұрын

    I know it's a hard wood, but only has a Janka rating of 67, compared to 430 for something like Obeche. When I say soft, I mean it's soft to the touch - you can dent it with a finger!
