This wheelchair is the best thing that will rehabilitate her. I crated mine for 8 weeks 6 weeks at the vet cuz I couldn’t do it. I waited for my Yorkie to heal for 6 mo. Wasn’t happening!! It’s like taking care of a newborn! I got a wheelchair and in 1 month was walking. 2 months perfect walk. Good luck princess!!

im glad yours were able to bounce back mine still has not :'(

This made me tear up. My dog got back from the vet and now his legs are paralyzed (temporarily I hope) and it breaks my heart to not see him run around like he loves to do. I found this product on amazon and wanted to see a video on it, thank you for uploading this! I really think it would make him feel a bit more normal.

Be strong kylie! Hang in there, princess right now has showed stregths however still cannot walk. Im really hoping she would bounce back. This wheelchair really helped princess a lot. I only put her on the wheelchair for like 30 mins to 1 hour so she can play and feel normal. Her private areas are very swollen dont let him drag himself he will have some blisters.

I’m having the same experience. Actually your dog looks exactly like mine and a few days ago she lost the ability to walk. The vet said it’s a slipped disc as well, and I can’t afford the surgery. I ordered her a wheelchair and will be getting it on Sunday and I can’t wait. I too have been crying all week; and she’s on medication as well. I’m glad I saw your video your story is my story.

Hello Diana!! I am in the exact same situation. Surgery is 10k and even if we do go through her chances of recovering have diminished drastically. She is currently on meds and on crate rest. I have been crying my eyes out and have been trying to look on the bright side. Good luck to you Im sure this is a going to be a very challenging journey, but I’m sure both of our dogs are fighters!

Hi I’m going through the same thing, my dog has ivdd and walking badly, and surgery is too expensive. Hopefully she gets better maybe with crate rest. Hopefully your dog is doing better❤️

This is why I created this video is to share how im going though it. Just wanted to ask how are your dogs doing? Princess is still alive happy and well.

This happened all of a sudden to my older Powder Puff. She's my baby and her being in pain was devastating. I just found your video because of the wheelchair I purchased and I fell in love with Princess! You are a wonderful dog mommy...I'm subscribing! Thank you for your positive attitude! ☺

The backstops that you weren’t sure about or for dogs who can’t use their back legs at all so her toes don’t scrape the floor and get injured

Thank you for this video ! I’m going through it right now with my chipoo and god it breaks my heart especially when she needs to use the restroom. I purchased the wheelchair and it gets here tomorrow, i hope this helps her at least feel normal again :(

a few drops of oil in center of wheel where it turns on the shaft after every ride or there about make wheel turn better like three in one or any bicycle chain oil to use

I ordered the same wheelie on Amazon, but may have ordered to big. Shipped back then ordered the lockshun which was $80 cheaper and supposedly the right size still struggling. Dog is also stubborn

Dogs with IVDD should be crate rested and medicated for close to 6wks then slowly reintroduced to activities. This gives the dog the best chance of walking again.

Any updates on princess ? I am going through the same with my dog . I had the surgery and did therapy and he’s still not back . So now I’m looking at getting a wheel chair

What happens for her naps??? Can she nap in the wheelchair or simply sit for a while? Do you have to take it off with every nap?

Hi there, i dont let princess stay in there for too long, like 1 hour or 30 mins depending and then we wrap her bottom

My dog has degenerative myelopathy. She has lost the use of her back legs. I just got her chair 2 days ago and almost got it too small. But it's a medium size but it's the same one you have.

Did your dog stop eating snacks for a while or no ? My dog is going through the loss of his back legs and either I gave him too many snacks and he doesn’t like them anymore or it’s his back legs

No she still ate. I tried to give her canned food but maybe hes in pain.. i hope not.

You need to have the vet put her on pain meds ASAP I can see that she’s in pain by her panting and crying ask for pain meds, my dog needs this also and she’s a chihuahua she has to get knee surgery so I’m going to get this wheel chair and let her get use to it before I get her surgery done, so her leg can heal while using the wheelchair bc her other leg isnt strong enough to support the leg that’s getting surgery she needs knee surgery on both legs so she can use the wheel chair to recover after surgery

Ours a mini pin almost looks like her..

This hasn’t helped at all. My 8 & 1/2 year old miniature poodle went from normal self to not walking at all and laying all day on her side in bed. She needs help for everything but can drink water and eat. I’ve switched her to organic soft food, and joint support treats as well as antibiotics, steroids, and valley fever meds after they failed to tell me she had slight signs of it. Until watching her get worse for a week to 2 weeks from walking to not at all. Idk what to do to help her she’s been on the meds about 2-3 weeks now and little to no improvement they said it could be a multi neurological disorder they don’t know have suggested a 4k spinal tap and MRI for further diagnoses. I don’t have these funds and see no improvement but she’s all there, her hind leg goes stiff and one she’s been curling up and can straighten the front ones don’t seem to support her, she’s slightly standing now but collapses if I let go. She’s had 4 chiropractor adjustments and nothing has helped. Please if anyone has seen this before and has any ideas to get life back in her please help. I feel terrible for her and she’s all there otherwise. Its hand and foot with her and I don’t know what to do. Help 🙏

Hang in there! I'm no professional but when my dog princess had her slip disc, I wish we never touched her. She should have been left in the crate so that she wont get too hyper and decide to move a lot and cause her to not fully heal. Princess is still alive but she cant walk anymore. She wears diapers. It is a lot of work. She still eats a lot, play and very energetic. I chose to take care of her and putting her down because it seems to be an inconvenience is not my idea. I adopted her and ill be there for her till the end. Its not for everyone we are happy this way. I also got a carrier for her when we go outside

I did everything I can to make sure she feels good everyday and she's being taken care of so well that's why im so sad she has to have this illness but I make sure she still is very happy by sleeping with her and playing with her all the time

I just want to let you know as someone who is doing research on dog wheelchairs, the video could’ve started at about nine minutes I personally don’t have that kind of time and the few seconds I heard as I was skimming thru Was just rambling. Work on it kid.

@@Lovevinya I think you did a fabulous job on this vid :) I'm grateful anyone shares when it comes to personal stuff and this is SO personal. My mini min pin DID have the open back surgery for IVDD back in 2015. He's now 14 1/2 and is losing his mobility again and we're going with a wheelchair :) Even if you had done the surgery you'd be back in this boat 50% of the time. So...good job doing all you can for your fur daughter...enjoy her and thank you for posting
