My DIY AQUATIC PLANT FARM!!
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Have you ever thought of growing and propagating aquatic plants? It is really simple to do emersed and you can sell trimmings to people or use them for your own aquariums. This is my way of doing it and so far it is working out great. I'm not too sure what I'll do with these during the winter though.. I'm sure the plants will die back a little. I may have to lid them up and put them in direct sunlight or bring them indoors.

I do believe that in the next vlog about this propagation methode Christel Kasselmann deserves a shoutout. ;-) BTW, have you ordered her book?
These are so cool, and amazing how they fill out so fast with so little plants. Love all your projects, seeing a new vid was a great start to my day 🙂
7:40 Ryo: *knock the plastic container* "good plastic right there"
Uh, this is amazing. Thanks for showing your awesome aquatic plant farm. I'm going to do the same now.
Been waiting for a video like this for a while!! That’s a fantastic setup and all of those plants are so so healthy! Love your content Ryo! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Damn Ryo, you're crushing it with this plant growth! I honestly never thought of growing more plants with the trimmings I have in my nano tank.
Very interesting video! Note, for your next serie maybe show us how to reintroduce / plant them to the under water life?
One of the most interesing ideas. Instead of rebuying the plants every scape. Thank you for that. I'll try that out soon
Great video Ryo. I'm in NZ and trying to grow aquatic plants in my greenhouse, not very successful however you have highlighted where I could be going wrong. I only spray my plants morning and night but as they are aquatic I like how you keep water above the soil so they keep hydrated. I'm going to give this a go so thank you
epic, awesome to see you grow all these plants. Will definitely be trying this for myself now, making your own stock for future aquascapes
Thank you so much for your videos. Your practical approach always encourages me to try new things, as your efforts are educating, and clearly affordable. Good luck!
Thank you! I appreciate you! I've been searching for the information you've just taught me!
Thanks for sharing. You’ve given me an idea on how to propagate my aquatic plants
I wish you the best, and good luck on the Goldfish Pond. I am actually about to start my own Emersed Aquatic plant farm myself in Colorado USA so, With everything you just showed, I plan on using and implementing myself for this journey. Thank you and keep it up!
Thank you for sharing! love it!
These are really cool! I wanna start growing aquatic plants as well. Thanks!
absolutely amazing!
Now i'm gonna try to plant my rotalas immersed. Thanks for the info. Great Video!! Keep it up
Thank you for uploading in 60fps, also very nice setup... A great way to make unlimited plants for those who reset often, Ryo-san 🌱
Amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing how well the plants grow. I didn't expect that. You have the "green thumb"
Your videos makes me calm and chill
Thanks for sharing. Very inspiring. Greatings from Denmark.
Awesome set up - I'm impressed !
This is going to save me so much money when i set up my 75 in the summer! Thanks for the video
What a cool idea! Gonna have to set some of these up over the weekend, easy/cheaper to supply my newer tanks with fresh plants
great project for us to try. thanks and great videos!
Looks great I’m inspired thanks for sharing!
This is the best video I've seen on this subject. I want to do this soon!
Great setups Ryo! Much love and support from the Philippines.

So, if we grow this way then move into aquarium the submerged plants die. Just like my shop bought plants.
This is awesome I know what I’m doing this weekend.
Wow thanks for the idea ryo definitely gonna do this love from the Philippines
Excellent ideas!
Thanks for the info gonna set up one this weekend ðŸ™ðŸ½
Órale!! Se ve muy bien, haré algo parecido. Gracias por la idea. Saludos desde México.
You encourage me to try this way of growing plants. I normally grow a lot of Amazon swords, jungle val, guppy grass, etc. I have a few stem plants so I'll try it. Thanks man
Very inspiring! I will do the same thing soon this is exactly what i wanted to do in a long time and hopefully it will succeed. Thanks ryo you are really my inspiration.
This was awesome, simply amazing!

Great video, Amazing collection of plants you have, very lush and green looking ðŸ‘
thanks for sharing your wonderful video.. i really enjoy watching..
Such a great collection of aqua plants. I WANT THEM ALL. 😅
That is so cool ! I just got back in the hobby, had disastrous results with a sterile tank about 10 years ago and sold everything in an access of rage. This time I will go 100% natural. I was worried that I don't have enough plants to begin with. Fall comes quick in north of Canada. I was just in time to get some in the lake before they all froze and died. Now that I know I can grow them inside (and quick!) I will get to it asap maybe with more exotic plants comming from a store. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘🤘
I've always wanted to see how this was done! Really excited to see your 120p

I really enjoyed your video young man. I am going to try doing this myself.
Thanks for sharing. Great to see your system. I didn't know it was so effective. Have onle ever done this with the plants fully emerged, which takes a lot more work and is very messy in a small apartment. I'm guessing this would work for practically any plant, except for moss
Well done sir.
Amazing informative video. Out did yourself on this one. Muchlove from Pagosa Springs Colorado.
You have inspired me to try this
Nice video!! Have a great weekend!! love from the netherlands ✌✌✌
I love growing hydrocotyle tripartita emerged but some of those stem plants look really cool emerged and I have some so I may have to try some of those
Hey Ryo, you’ve inspired me to give this a go. I’ll start in spring I think. 🌿

Good job ðŸ‘
It's been a while since I watched your vlog, you upgrade already on your hobby., keep it up ðŸ‘👌ðŸ‘
Hey mate! Absolute awesome work with all your aquatic mini plant farms! They’re looking amazing bro also just thinking you could possibly... if you built the rack out of wood, connecting them all up with small PVC piping an each one in slightly lowered pigeonholes leading down to the bottom with a ( blacked out fish tank ) with an overflow and a pump pushing the water up to the first mini aquaponic plant farm? lots of fish in a sump tank may help with the plants.
Best work bro
wow ryo.. they look so lush and healthy

Thank you so much 😀
amazing.
Thank you for your tutorial. Doing this outdoors brings unwanted bugs inside into your aquariums. Maybe use a net of some kind over the plants would help keep bugs out but it definitely wouldn't keep them all out. But as long as you dont mind the bugs then it doesnt matter, seeing as plants usually grow much better outside.
hashtag summer goal in NZ great vid Ryo.. motivation ..
thanks from Bangladesh
Nic , beautiful great
Nice one mate ðŸ‘ðŸ˜ðŸ‘Œ

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ( YOUR SUCCESS WITH AQUATIC PLANTS :) THANK YOU FOR SHARING :) I ALSO DID THAT AND GOING TO DO IT AGAIN IN NEER FUTURE :) THANK YOU FROM ISRAEL :)
Love this video, just found your content. Excited to watch more! Does it get cold where you live, what do you do in the winter with these plant tubs? Do they survive outside or do you bring them in?
super vidéo
Nice emersed plants. you should try HC Cuba in emersed form, it can form a very nice carpet look if done right

Wow, Ryo, what a huge collection you have. I 💜 your backyard "jungle" & am looking forward to seeing your pond when you put it in (maybe you have already since this video is from a year ago). That must come in super handy when you want to set up a new tank! I picked up a few plants yesterday for eventual use in a 14 gal tank I received as a Christmas gift and I want to grow them emersed until I'm ready for them. You mentioned you had lids on some of them at some point & you also mentioned you don't recommend growing them indoors. Would you please talk about when to lid & what to do if you are going to do it indoors? It's winter where I am and I will have to grow the plants I mentioned indoors. Last but not least, question: What do you do with the plants when you move them to an aquarium? Do you do the lights off method I've heard mentioned?
Hi Ryo. Do you have any tips of reintroducing to a newly set up aquarium? For example, I’d be keen to know if emersed growth trimmings can establish quickly enough to provide the planting “bulk†to reduce risk of algae early on in a new high tech tank? (would they need have roots or are cuttings ok)? Thank you!
Awesome Ryo. You're the GOAT of aquatic plant farms. How much sunlight do they get though? Do they get morning sun? Does it matter when in the day they get sunlight? What's the outside temperature they can tolerate? I would appreciate the response. TIA
I think I want to start a set up like this (on a smaller scale tho) for some of my plants. Oh and now I know I have that Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' thanks to you! It was in Japanese when I bought it (I don't read it haha) and wasn't 100% if it was Hygrophila. I love your backyard jungle too. Mine is a hill covered in plants and trees and it's kinda scary haha The banana spiders are insane here on Okinawa!
Amazing,, what one can achieve ...
So on this video all those plants are fully submersible its summer here in chicago. Try natural aquarium using cheap top soil with play sand for top off like dr fish recommended
Was waiting for this since ur story on Instagram. It's awesome man 💯💯
Wow that’s so cool! So you say the plants survive a Japanese winter? I am in Sydney and get full sun on my balcony so will try this in some large vases!
I’m inspired 😃
Waiting for your contest tank update !! ðŸ‘☺ï¸
Ryo please come to Indonesia, that country is a paradise for the aquatic plant, So many farmers aquatic plants around here
