• Voltas Beko DT8S Table...
It is a cute little tabletop dishwasher and is best suited for small families, 2-3 people and rests comfortably on the kitchen platform.
Dimensions -
Height - 59 cm
Width - 55 cm
Depth - 50 cm
Weight - 25.5 kgs
In this video, I have shown washing a load of dishes using the mini cycle of 35 minutes. The dishes were medium soiled and fairly a good number of dishes were loaded.
Inspite of the higher degree of soiling, I chose the short program, stuffed in a lot of dishes and ended up putting less detergent. This resulted in bad cleaning. I did this whole exercise deliberately to highlight the importance of
1. Loading the right amount of dishes
2. Using the correct quantity of detergent for the load and the degree of soiling
3. Choosing the correct program based on the degree of soiling.
Hope you liked this effort to drive home these important points which play an important role in cleaning of dishes.
Please share your views, thoughts and experiences.
Thank you for watching and all your love and support.

    @@ravipoolla2303 I think you can't do that. In salt water bacteria or fungus won't grow. Think about pickle. Then you can use a sponge to remove some water inside it. Still there will be water in there. Maybe you can use sodium benzoate mixed with some water in the filter to prevent odur causing bacteria when not using for long time.sodium benzoate is a food preservative used in pickles and bread.

    Hi, Please decide on where you are planning to place it. After that provide a water supply point and also a drainage point. I have shown this in my very first video of this dishwasher. You can watch that by clicking below - kzread.info/dash/bejne/hp-rzcuOkpWZndo.html - Voltas Beko DT8S First impression I have also posted many videos on this dishwasher. Sharing the link of the entire playlist below - kzread.info/head/PLvZ681nV6tYr5zV7rtAy0sU2iPze_7o97 - Voltas Beko dishwasher playlist Regarding what is required for a dishwasher, I have posted a checklist video. Please watch the same below. Although this video is mainly for full size dishwasher, it can be used as a guidline to slightly alter the requirements to suit the size of the tabletop dishwasher. If you are keeping the small dishwasher next to the kitchen sink, you can route the drain pipe into the sink like I have done. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mKicr7qjpraqj5M.html - Checklist before buying a dishwasher. Hi, sorry for the delayed reply. There are many reasons why the machine does not clean well. You say that you have not used it for 5 months. You have to check if there is any blockage in the spray arms and also check the drain filters and clean them if required. Can you please give me details about your water hardness, salt and rinse aid setting, the program you run regularly etc.? Also which detergent do you use? Based on that I shall give you suggestions. Hi Padma, thank you for watching my videos and appreciating.🙏 I've been repeatedly telling people that one detergent brand does not suit everyone. Much depends on the water hardness. Whatever I've shown in my detergent comparison video is based on my research in my dishwasher for my water quality which is fairly soft. If you have to find out whether Crystale gives you good cleaning results you've to buy a pack (they sell in small packs of 18 tablets) and try it out in various cycles. If you are happy with the results then you can stick to that brand. I'm telling this because some viewers have written to me that they have not got good cleaning using Crystale. So please try out yourself before finalising any brand. Hope my answer was helpful to you. Thank you.

    IFB has lot of good models and people are happy with it. But there are lots of complaints online about their poor service. So please check on that before deciding. Voltas Beko is now fairly well established in India. Beko is very popular in Europe. VB 15 place dishwasher does not seem to have been bought by many people. So you can go for 14 place setting dishwasher. If you are going for VB, then go for the model with display. Avoid going for the model which has a dial and no display. Thanks.

    Hi, there is no problem here. I've just shown how by over crowding/cluttering of dishes and by not choosing a right program based on degree of soiling, your dishes won't come out clean. This can happen in any size machine. Cleaning is dependent on many factors. I've explained two of the factors in this video. If you've watched till the end, I've explained the problem as well as the solution. Hope I've made myself clear. Yes I've my 9 year old Bosch which I'm still using. Hi Mam,1) I want to buy 8place dishwasher in this sale , which is better voltas beko DT8S vs DT8B vs Bosch. 2) Which one are you using right now 3) why did you change your dishwasher from voltas to Bosch Please reply ASAP

  • @BhuvanaAdi

    @BhuvanaAdi

    9 ай бұрын

    Hi Manoj, 1. DT8S and DT8B are 8 place setting tabletop models of Voltas Beko which are the same except that one is silver and the other is black. 2. Bosch does not have 8 place setting dishwasher(not at least in India), but only 12/13/14/15 place regular free standing models. So, directly I cannot compare a tabletop and regular model. If you ask me to compare Bosch and Voltas Beko, then my choice would be Bosch(though it is expensive compared to other brands), as it has been in the market internationally, for more than 6 years, German engineering which makes it very durable and giving an edge over the other brands. 3. I am currently using both my 12-year-old Bosch and 3 year old Beko. I did not change from one brand to another. After 8 1/2 years during Covid my Bosch developed PCB failure and since the repair took long time due to Covid, I bought my second dishwasher the tabletop model. Both machines are working fine and I am happy with both of them. Mine was the first KZread channel in India to post dishwasher video. After that I have posted several videos on all aspects of dishwasher. You will find more than 60 videos on dishwasher alone in my channel. I am sharing the links below - kzread.info/head/PLvZ681nV6tYr5zV7rtAy0sU2iPze_7o97 Voltas DT8S playlist kzread.info/head/PLvZ681nV6tYrXkjwrFQC7-MSnWRNpfsq2 Bosch Dishwasher playlist kzread.info/head/PLvZ681nV6tYoWei5t-ZGBgsL7tBV1ymkX LG Dishwasher playlist You will need to decide first whether you have to go in for a table top or a full size dishwasher. Based on that and based on your budget, market offers, service in your city, etc., you can then decide on which brand to buy. Hope you find these useful. Thanks.

  • @BhuvanaAdi

    @BhuvanaAdi

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Souravi, Actually manufacturers do not recommend washing aluminium in the Dishwashers as they will become black in the long run. But I've been washing them since many years, but in low temperature short duration cycles without any damage to the cookware. My water is fairly soft. For hard water the results may be different. You have to check once or twice to see if your aluminium cooker/cookware turns black after washing. If you're convinced there is no change in the aluminium, you can continue washing them in your dishwasher. I've shown washing aluminium in one of my videos in the Bosch dishwasher playlist of 20+ videos. kzread.info/head/PLvZ681nV6tYrXkjwrFQC7-MSnWRNpfsq2 Please checkout the same. Thanks.

If your water quality is good and you haven't faced any problems till now, you don't need an AMC. But, if you feel it would give you peace of mind, then you can go ahead with AMC. Thanks.

    Hi Umesh, you have not mentioned how hard your water is and if you have not filled salt at all in your machine. Aluminium does get black when washed in the dishwasher, more so if the water is hard. Using salt helps in softening water. Hence either Finish or any other reputed brand salt is to be filled in the dishwasher and the proper setting of salt, based on hardness has to be done. Hope this clarifies your doubt.

  • @BhuvanaAdi

    Hi Sunil, you have not mentioned which detergent you are using and how is your water hardness. Cleaning does not depend on correct program selection and water quality alone, but also on the correct quantity and quality of detergent, right setting of salt and rinse aid levels, based on water hardness and very importantly on correct placement of soiled dishes. I am sure you must be taking care of all the above factors. Try placing the heavily soiled utensils like kadais and cookers, in the periphery of the lower rack, where more water will be sprayed. Try washing these heavily soiled dishes in Eco cycle as well. Thanks.

    Hi Arthi, this being a table top model the height is perfect for old people to load the dishes. Also the programs being minimal(6) without any additional options like selecting extra dry, temperature or pre rinse to name a few; it's very simple to operate. Just load the dishes, add detergent, select the program and press start. Also it is ideal for a small family of 2-3. From my 4+ months usage, I find the performance satisfactory in most programs except the Mini cycle. Hope this answers your query.

    Hi Anu, I do it as a habit, though it is not compulsory in most dishwashers today. Soaking gives better results in dishes which have stubborn residues stuck on them. Normal dishes with light to moderate soiling can be loaded as it is and a dishwasher will clean them.

    Try to select the correct program based on how soiled your vessels are. If your current detergent is not giving good cleaning, try to change the detergent. Since your TDS is low, I guess your water must be soft, so keep the salt and rinse aid settings to the minimum. Sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks.

    So did you add salt and water as told by him? Where do you live? Do you get any scale formation or white patches when you wash your dishes? How is your water quality, hard or soft, i.e. is your water salty? If you are not able to tell this, get your water hardness tested in a lab. Or else with a TDS meter you can find out the TDS. To understand this topic, watch my video on water hardness by clicking the link below. I've explained about this for my Bosch dishwasher. Hi Kalpana, I'm sure you've set your salt level based on your water hardness. H3 means that you've hard water, for which you've to use salt as well even if you use tablet as the salt in the tablet will not be sufficient. First of all add salt in the salt compartment, because setting of salt level has no meaning without salt in the chamber. Rinse aid can be kept at level 2, if you're going to use tablet always. Please watch my video on how to fill salt and rinse aid for the first time in LG dishwasher by clicking the link below: kzread.info/dash/bejne/on16vNKintizkrg.html Hope this helps.

    @@sauravlohani689 your tds is very high for using a dishwasher. Can you tell me how you arrived at this value? Did you get your water tested to know the hardness? If not, you can get the water hardness tested in a lab. It could cost a few hundred rupees, you can do it in case you are planning to keep the dishwasher. In any case, companies are expected to check the water hardness before suggesting a dishwasher to any customer, as dishwashers do not work beyond a certain level of water hardness. If you manage to use a dishwasher with such hard water, you will not get effective cleaning even with maximum usage of consumables. Moreover, the scale formation will be high. So my suggestion to you would be - 1) if you want to use the dishwasher try to arrange soft water connection to dishwasher. You could also try to connect a water softener at the dishwasher inlet, but again that could be cumbersome. 2) if that is not possible then you can talk to LG and ask them to take the dishwasher back. A few buyers have reported returning due to very high water hardness. You may need to push hard with the company to take back the machine and give you a refund. Good luck.

    Hi Gaurav, there could be various reasons for not getting good cleaning: 1. Correct placement of dishes, especially the heavily soiled ones should be kept at a place where the spray arms spray more water (where there are more nozzles for water). 2. More soiled dishes should be kept only in the lower rack. 3. Correct setting of salt and rinse aid setting based on your water hardness. 4. Selecting correct program cycle based on degree of soiling of dishes. 5. Using the right detergent that suits your water type. 6. Using the correct quantity based on the number of soiled dishes and degree of soiling. 7. Not overloading or over cluttering the racks. If any of these is not right, there is a possibility of getting unsatisfactory cleaning results, in spite of very high temperature program cycle. Each point mentioned above is inter dependent. Hope my answer helps you to get good cleaning in your future dishwashing. 👍

  • @BhuvanaAdi

    @BhuvanaAdi

    3 жыл бұрын

    I wouldn't say it is a right figure. Electric bill depends on 1. Number of times you'd use the machine in a day. 2. The program cycle you would use regularly..(each has a different wash & rinse temperature and duration). 3. Additional options chosen along with the main program, like steam etc. Usually the power consumption ranges anywhere between 0.5 units to 1.6 units per cycle, depending on brand, model, the program cycle etc. I've explained this and many more queries in my FAQs 1 2 videos. Hi Souren, it is better not to wash mixer jars in the dishwasher(though I used to wash my very old jars few years ago); because though the jar is made of steel, the coating on the bottom will get worn out over a period and the plastic parts if any, too will not withstand high temperatures. Even if you've to wash you can do so only in low temperature quick cycles like I used to do.

You can find this only by trying out one by one. Thirdly correct placement of dishes is very important. Place more soiled dishes at places where the spray arms have more spray nozzles and sprays more water, so that such dishes are cleaned well. Hope this helps you solve your problems.👍

    Hi Rupali, I'm sure water in Pune is very soft. For soft water, you can set H01 and r01. More rinse aid will cause soapiness in your dishes. Also try using Vario Eco option which increases time but reduces water and power usage and gives a good cleaning. The rinsing time will also be more thus not leaving any trace of detergent. Don't go by the duration of the program. In short cycles the dishes will not be fully rinsed. Moreover you have kept salt and rinse aid at high levels which is not correct for your water. Also try using quantity of detergent based on the soiling of dishes. Please follow these and your problem who get solved. Thanks.

    Hi Madhavi, For small families - 2 adults + 1 child, etc. this machine is sufficient. For bigger families, a regular size dishwasher is better. Cleaning depends a lot on the quality of water. So please check out the water hardness at your place. Please check out the following 2 videos before you decide to buy a dishwasher - kzread.info/dash/bejne/X558t7OwiJuYnJc.html Water Hardness, Salt and Rinse Aid setting explained kzread.info/dash/bejne/mKicr7qjpraqj5M.html Checklist before buying dishwasher Monthly expenses includes detergent, salt, rinse aid and power consumption. Power consumption is dependent on cycle chosen - for most machines with daily use, monthly power will be about 40 units. Detergent, salt and rinse aid also depend on the type of water and many brands are available. If your water is good, the cost of these would be about 200 to 250. If your water is hard, this could go upto 400 to 500. Please check out my FAQ video below - kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXdpp6-midHeiLQ.html Thanks.

    @BhuvanaAdi

    2 жыл бұрын

    @sivaloganather, Yes, you are right. Thanks for sharing your views. In dishwasher there is no manual scrubbing only hot water with detergent is sprayed. So in some utensils with very hard stains, we will not get 100% cleaning. Most utensils get cleaned fully if some simple tips are followed. Regarding tea and milk stains, if the utensil is soaked in water for some time before loading in dishwasher, that too gets cleaned. Only very hard stains of masala cooking and heavy tea/milk stains do not get cleaned fully. They get cleaned almost 90% or more. And it is very easy to clean the remaining 10% soft residue in such few utensils by light scrubbing. I feel this is better than having to clean 100% by hand scrubbing. Of course to accept this or not is an individual decision. Thanks.
