    This is an amazing video! Thank you! You mentioned Schweser blue box examples. How about CFA official curriculum solved examples (blue box) which they have in their books. Did you look at them and solve them in detail too ? Also when binding together, would you only do CFA official curricular questions ? You wouldn’t touch Schweser questions ? (I ask because what if you have done all the questions already, should you repeat and redo). Thank you again!

    Glad you like the video 🙌🏻 I personally didn’t study from the curriculum books purely cuz I prefer summarised versions and am not good at reading too much. Hence I never looked through the blue box questions from the curriculum notes. (Having said that, if you have the time and are willing to do so then there is absolutely no harm…It’s only going to be better). I did questions from schweser too…First I’d do schweser EOC then the curriculum ones…Post that I’ll do the candidate resource questions from the institute website as well

    There are three ways that worked well for me:- 1. Explain the standards to yourself in very simple language (make a story out of it so you never forget, let me know if you’d like a video on this) 2. Don’t need to learn requirements and recommendations both. Know what is the requirement, once you know what is the requirement anything else that is logical and sounds right will be a recommendation. 3. Practice…The more questions you see the more cases you will know! -Do let me know if there anything else you need to know or any specific topic you want me to discuss I’ll be happy to do so ☺️

    Iam from CA background but I don't know why my score on FSA is not good even I practiced questions several time on FSA. Second, I also lack on Portfolio management, even couple of revisions the formulas on this topic is challenging for me so what is the best strategy of preparation for FSA and PM ? My result was not positive due to lack of 4/5 questions. So what may be the best strategy for upcoming exam preparation?

    @@arunchhetri9152 in my opinion get the logic of each concept first…Do not try to just rush things, take some time to go a little deep in the logic of concepts. Solve all questions as a quiz, if you are getting more wrongs then right then find a different way to understand. Also don’t focus too much on which part of line you touched in level 1 as long as you passed it’s more or less okay, worry only if you feel you’re concepts we’re not 100% clear.

    Great video. The part you mention at 8:25 - can we do this while studying instead of the end ? And you’d say only do this with institute questions, not Kaplan Qbank ? Also other than Kaplan end of chapter, you didn’t do Kaplan Qbanks ? Thanks! This is really amazing

    Thank you 🙏🏻 For the 8:25 bit…yes you can do that form the start itself but don’t do it everyday as initially it’s important to give undivided attention to one subject. So maybe randomly 2-3 times a week you can go for this to keep your memory ticking. I personally have never used the Kalpan bank…Never found the need with the institute questions available

    Hello. Are Kaplan Schweser revision notes good at covering everything comprehensively?

  • @tanishka3338

    @tanishka3338

    Hello, It worked well for me! They are good at explaining what the concept is…If you are going for classes as well they should be enough if not maybe you can refer to the curriculum to get in depth knowledge. Best way to check is, do one subject: solve some questions from the curriculum and see if you are getting at least 50% right, if not maybe you need more clarity.

    Hello, I don’t remember my actual scores tbh 🙈 But I think it was in the above 70 range! The aim while solving any set of questions for me was always above 70 as that helps in building a sense of confidence (and trust me such competitive exams is more about dealing with the mind than the actual thing)

    What is the difference between Curriculum Questions and Candidate resources?

  • @tanishka3338

    @tanishka3338

    6 ай бұрын

    Curriculum questions are the end of chapter concept checkers so it’s chapter wise. In the candidate resource it’s subject wise so eg: from derivates all topics will come mixed here.

    Hi Manish, Congratulations on passing level 1, onwards and upwards from here 🙌🏻 That fully depends on how you are as a person…Working will give you a greater perspective but if you’re like me who is not very good with balancing work and study then it’s better to skip it if possible so that you once and for all clear the exam and then move in the profession space. Basically boils down to you being honest with yourself.

    Hey Mukti…If you’re not working then around 6-8 months is good if you have the capacity to hundred percent concentrate only on this. If you’re working I’d suggest take one year at least.

    Hi Kartik, I honestly have never counted hours (still don’t as I feel it creates unnecessary panic). I set very really realistic targets for the day (you might have seen in the video, I don’t like reading too much etc…So based on that and my day I use to set some targets) and just focused on finishing that (if it got done in an hour then great if it took 4 then too no choice).

    @@kartiknigam9 no problem! Again we cannot put a number to this as well… I know people who have barely solved 10% of this and have passed and some who completed all questions and yet failed. Focus on seeing different types of questions and how to approach them. I’ll be making a detailed video on practice questions very very soon (will disclose the trick that used and it helped) so in case you want me to cover something specific do let me know for sure.
