It's so adorable seeing all three of you theorize at the end. In the first episode when they fell into the sea, Jeong Gu Won became unconscious and Do Do Hee says in a voice over that if she doesn't let go of him she'll die but still she chose to protect him so the tattoo transferred to her as she lost consciousness too. I think the theory is that the tattoo transfers to the one holding the tattoo hand while the current owner of the tattoo is unconscious/near death, to give both of them the best chance of survival. I also find it poetic that the first tattoo transfer happened in water and the second transfer happened in fire. If this isn't a perfect reversal I don't know what is.
