My favorite video of the year. My daughter just turned 12 and has her hunters safety completed. We are excited for 2024 deer and elk season. She watched this with me and loved it!

I’m just smiling ear to ear. It’s been awhile (35 years) since I took my daughters to catch their first trout. This brought all those memories back. ❤👍👍

My face hurts from smiling! I know the joy first hand of helping my nieces and nephews harvest their first deer and now we are starting to take their kids. Its always more rewarding helping them be successful than harvesting one myself. great video and great deer congratulations!

My first big game animal was a black bear when I was 12!! Something I will cherish forever and never forget and I know she will also cherish these memories with mom and dad forever

Well done Trevor and Steve. Such a great moment that you shared with everyone. My middle daughter is 39 now. We shot her first deer together just her and I when she was 12. No cell phones or cameras like that. I had a 35 mm camera And took a whole bunch of pictures. The camera did not have any film in it. The memories for my daughter and I are just in our minds. That same daughter married an elk hunting fanatic. My granddaughter shot a seven point bull elk when she was 12. Oh yeah, it was a Roosevelt Elk.

Awesome experience to have with your daughter. She is an absolute sweetie. When she said her calves were burning she totally reminded me of my daughter who would say her legs hurt like 5 minutes into a hike🤣. Congrats on your fist buck together and I hope there will be many more.

Born and raised in Oregon. My dad took me hunting starting very young. Some of my fondest memories were in the Oregon woods with him. I was 12 years old when I got my first buck over in the Metolius unit. Some of the best memories I have with my dad were during that hunting trip. My dad and my mother are both alcoholics and have problems with drugs. My childhood very was difficult but my dad was sober during our time of hunting and it was the best experience I’ve ever had with him. No longer have a close relationship with my dad and absolutely zero relationship with my mother. Watching these videos when you take your kids out hunting brings back those special memories I cherish so deeply. Congratulations to your daughter on her sweet buck! So fun to watch! 🥹
