came here to say the same, this is my second serious breakup that's had me stricken with a lot of grief and i'm only on day 4. in a few days, we're going to be talking and i will have to initiate no contact so i can properly heal-- i'm trying to watch dustin's vids for a glimpse of what being alone with myself could feel like eventually :(

I feel like whenever everything is going good in our lives and we’re very happy and content with everything, we always find a way to self sabotage. All the boxes are checked but one, and we make that one box our whole world. I think we do this because we can never be happy and we just aren’t used to being happy and content. We can’t accept this happiness when there is one thing missing. So when not everything is perfect but we’re okay and happy with it, we always find something to ruin it and bring us down. It’s in our nature, always having some kind of chaos or some kind of hurt in our lives. It’s the only thing we know, so we continue to do it because it’s home. We never allow ourselves to be fully happy and it’s sad but it’s all we know.

I laid in bed yesterday morning and it was a beautiful quiet moment, the sun was up and it was cool inside my room. It immediately felt off, I felt like I had to do something so I got up it was 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday and I had nothing to do and I felt off. And I'm thinking to myself why can't I just spend the day in bed all day why do I have to get up, why do I have to do anything? I was raised like that always having to do something not being able to sit still and if you are sitting still they question you. Are you alright? Are you depressed what's wrong with you? As if laying in bed all day was a sign that you are sad, sick, or lazy. And being raised like that you start to question yourself am I lazy am I sick what's wrong with me?

just recently discovered your channel and I just love your content. It reminds me so much of the content I used to watch like six years ago that was so chill but also so visually pleasing and it helped me realize I wanted to make filmmaking and photography my career. I love all your shots, editing, color grading, etc... it just looks so good. I also wanted to briefly mention how you brought up this loneliness that you feel. I have felt that most of my life. I'm about to turn 23 and I have never been on a date, never kissed anyone, etc... It wasn't until probably a couple months ago that I actually am feeling?? not lonely?? I found so much community around me recently and it has made me feel so fulfilled. One day, yeah, I'd love to be in love. But that almost just feels so far away and out of reach at this point but... I'm almost okay with that? for once? Anyways, I hope you find what your heart really needs. Whether that be a s/o, more community, self love, anything. The scrolling through dating apps at 3 am is so real, and it's depressing because you know it's a spur in the moment feeling of loneliness but it's also hard to shake off that feeling. Though I think it's also important to remember how often times being in a relationship could feel even lonelier than being by yourself. I think when you're lonely by yourself, there are things you can do to make yourself feel less lonely, but if you feel lonely with another person, it's really hard to feel less lonely because your loneliness is now sort of dependant/dictated by the other person's actions instead of your own. The making friends with white people thing as an asian is so real too, I think I've only ever really had like 1-2 friends who are white, and now that I've entered uni and I have a lot more white friends, it's a strange feeling. You feel a bit inferior and lacking in places even though you know technically it's not true. And that feeling sucks

I don't know you but I also go through a cycle of comparing (not the way you do but similarly). Honestly going through these seasons are ok too. We always feel like we got to fix ourselves and that's not what life is for. I have been single all of my life and as a human, we have our moments and tarts ok, I wish it was normalize to say we all have moments cause those same people that look "perfect" have moments too. If it happened regularly I would be concern but once in awhile, that sa normal cycle. You're alright :)
