Great!
Custom fingering systems is the primary reason that I developed my own controller. My system borrows from EWI standard in concept, except it has an extended register to help with the register breaks. When I pay a high C (left middle finger, rest open) I can play the D above by simply putting down right hand index, middle, ring without changing thumb position. Likewise, I can play high E and F in the same manner. A lower register is from playing low C, then lifting right index finger on up. Meaning a low G can be played by simply raising right index finger, low Bb by lifting both index fingers etc. Hard to explain, but it really extends the playable non-break range. And of course a bajjiliion alternative fingerings via partials like EWI. Anyway, you play well! Keep it up!

That's super cool! Thanks for the explanation. Always love hearing from instrument developers!!
This is interesting, I'm debating purchasing a re.corder. Would it be possible to make a custom fingering that's similar to the clarinet? I played clarinet in high school and I'm wondering if a similar fingering can be created on this electronic wind instrument. But I'm also interested in your fingering system as well. Thanks!

it's pretty similar to the 2nd register of the clarinet! but a little different because of the missing side keys etc. I'd say it's about as similar to 2nd register of the clarinet as it is to the saxophone, overall.
This was really cool, but where did you learn that the Canonic Sonatas were originally written for transverse flute? Every source I can find (admittedly just by googling around for a few minutes) says that they were originally for two recorders or two violins.

You know what, I realized as I was editing that I don't know that for a fact and was making an assumption. My bad! This super legit wikipedia source says they were written for several instruments: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XIIX_Canons_m%C3%A9lodieux_(Telemann)

Yes music at that time offen came with a list of possible instruments. Interesting for me though is that the common recorder version is for alto recorder. So it comes in another scale...This one starting with an f. (In the preface the editor states that Thelemann added an indication how it should be transposed for recorder... whereas for Violine and Flute there was no transponation necessary) As I am s recorder player I often use the re.corder in the fingering of an alto. So starting with an f. Mostly I am using the standard baroque recorder fingering but added likewise alternatives for trills and some high notes that often would not sound good or even do not exist.
Just got the Robkoo. Still waiting on it to arrive. Have you tried that one?
