I’ve both Rashford and Bruno. But without TAA. And that is worrying me. But there are so many mid options (especially once we see how Spurs/Liv go) that I want the flexibility to jump on Son, Maddison, Jota, Diaz etc. Currently I’ve Saka, Mitoma, Foden, Bruno, Rashford in draft. And 1.5m in the bank so Mitoma can cover a Liverpool mid for GW2 against Bournemouth.

It's great to know that the draft I created before this video is the exact same starting lineup except mbeumo for mitoma, I even got henry as my backup 4.5m defender! Must mean I'm doing something right😄

I am actually satisfies with your first draft.if i have to do little bit of experiment. why do i bring inn Luke Shaw for TAA, Kane for Jesus,and bring other players for Madison......its just a taught .....what do you say.

Great video Ross. Kind of sad to see that there is already a very strong template forming from content creators and commenters, but that's life when the pricing remains quite generous and at least there are a few decisions to be made and some differentials to chose from, particularly in midfield (Salah being quite differential is pretty wild!). Pre season games will be interesting 👍

Not keen on Spurs or Chelsea or any team with a new manager as you just don't know how they'll start the season... Also not keen on Foden due to Pep roulette but agree he should be seeing minutes every game. Not keen on Jesus as he didn't finish the season strongly and even at the start of the last season was involved in build up play but not the one really scoring the goals, would prefer doubling up with Neli/Odegaard and Saka for that reason! I think Enciso is a very good alternative to Mitoma as he likes a long shot and seems more poacher focused, was considering Jaoa Pedro but need to see how he starts, I have Ferguson with Haaland and Watkins in my attack as Brighton's fixtures are too good not to double up with mid/att! Interesting formation you've gone with Ross, great video as always!

Interesting to see your team. Mine is pretty similar but i got 0.5 in the bank so i can go up from Mitoma to Szoboszlai if i feel fit. Plus, i got Odegaard instead of Bruno since i really do not like ManU and i am a big fan of the Norwegian.

Easiest way to find your 0.5m is mbeumo instead of maddison/foden(or another Brighton mid, or mac allister), or downgrade henry to one of the other 4m defenders. I've got baldock(SHU) and beyer (BUR) myself. If you do want to stick with a 4.5m defender, I've heard from Luton fans that Alfie Doughtry is an atatcking defender. I agree that having a second city attacker is going to be good because theres defo gonna be random 7-0s with city. Odegaard is the alternative but i dont see arsenal doing random 7-0s against teams like Luton, Sheff United, Everton etc

My midfield 5: Bruno Saka Eze Bowen Grealish A lot of people are sleeping on Eze - and Bowen is nailed and an excellent placeholder for Sterling/Mount/Richarlison

Great to have you back Raptor...my first draft team is very similar, except for Mbuemo for Maddison and Botman for Henry, which provides 1.0m ITB for flexibility...is this becoming close to a template...🤔

Liking the team Ross and as always , great content 💥 My current dilemma at the moment are which two GKs to own. I owned Sánchez and Steele forgetting about the new BHA GK. Since then I moved to Flekken and Balcombe. I am currently on Flekken and Areola but only if Raya leaves. Considering Pickford and Leno as Leno has good fixtures in GW5 and GW9 when Pickford has ARS and LIV. Rest of our XI is similar apart from I own Shaw and Mbuemo and you own Estupiñan and Maddison. Thoughts on my GK situation?

Honestly this is the best team I've seen so far. My team is pretty similar but I think I rather this. I will have a close eye on pre season to see who is playing where to make my final decision

Only two differences to my starting 11. Similar concerns, too. I'm just not convinced about Jesus. I might watch a bit of Fullham pre-season and see if Mitro is firing. I'm convinced there must be a better striker than Jesus for .5 less, so that Pickford can be upgraded to a Ramsdale or Onana. Anyway, welcome back, Ross! Looking forward to your content this season. i feel like im taking a large amount of risks in my squad atm while yes, theres fernandes, mitoma and saka, theres also Havertz and Mbeumo in my midfield as well as Nkunku > Gabriel as a forward. Reece James > Gabriel in an earlier Idea i had scrapped Saka entirely and put in Son but with Saka on penalties (?) that just seemed a little more secure

Loving the content and the team! I have Ramsdale and Shaw alongside Trent and Estup over Pickford and Gabriel. Midfield Mitoma, Rashford, Saka, Mount, Mbueno. Haal and Jesus up front. Any thoughts?

I currently have enciso, son and rashford in place of fernandes, maddison and mitoma. If enciso is good for minutes the money he saves allows so many upgrades

I know Gabriel is amazing value but Ramsdale is the standout pick for GK for me while there are quite a few good defensive options (too many tbh)

thoughts on the potential to go son for madders and then ferguson up top (if he's first choice)?, get cover for brighton attack and can shift mitoma to mbuemo if worried on double up also gives extra .5 for elsewhere

Hey Ross. You’re about the only person who’s full video I watch for the great reasoning I don’t have any Liverpool now. If Liverpool defence looks good TAA will be a no brainier but between fixtures and new players bedding in I’m waiting until WC when fixtures improve a bit. Also by then the Liverpool attacker may have emerged Currently on the following with 0.5itb: Ramsdale Areola Shaw Estupinian Stones Chilwell Udogie (rotation and Udogie may become 4.0) Rashford Saka Maddison Mitoma March (last placeholder for 6.5 and was foden) Haaland Jesus 4.5 Can’t see me going for Salah Kane. Think I can get to Chelsea or Liverpool attack (or James) easily. TAA is the quandary

One of my many dilemmas in midfield is Maddison or Diaz. I love the price point though as it allows you to switch to other options without using too many transfers.

Gone with this currently GK Flekken DEF Shaw, Gabriel, Botman, MID Salah©, Saka (V), Havertz, Mount, Mbeumo FOR Nkunku, Haaland Bench Areola, Henry, Baldock, Archer If you don't want Havertz or Mount then they can be Foden, or Sterling or someone else in that price bracket, or equally find a way for TAA if you really want him

I'm doing the hokey cokey with Eze in my draft. He finished the season strongly but he was over performing his numbers. Plus if Zaha stays, Eze won't get a look-in on penalties. Feels like there are better options at that price point.

Am i the only one that feels like out of all Arsenal players Martinelli is the one to go for ? especially for the start of the season when he will be fresh. He is the one driving at channels , he plays more 1-2 s with Jesus and will be at the end of those either with an assist or a goal. I feel like even if he gets subbed off around 80 mins he will have made a meal out of defences and taken the points with him. Saka has the penos, i get that. But still martinelli can just create and score and will always drive, while Saka sometimes opts to go for ball retention.

Martinelli got me big rank gains last year because everyone else was hyper-focussed on Saka due to the data alone. The Eye Test, however, showed Martinelli was the one.

My draft hasn't changed since the first day the game opened. Only pre season will affect things now so not wasting time tinkering Leno (Rodak) Trent Estupinan Gabriel (Beyer Baldock) Saka Rashford Mitoma Foden Mbeumo Haaland Jesus (Adebayo) 0.5m in the bank. 3-5-2 Watchlist for pre season: Sterling Nkunku Mount Maddison. If I did go with Nkunku and Sterling id probably also replace foden with odegaard just to have the two arsenal attackers. Mbeumo would be the one to be replaced for sterling. The 0.5m in the bank is basically to allow me to go to sterling from mbeumo at gw3 if he starts strong after doing nothing in pre season (although i could drop Jesus to nkunku to achieve the same result but for now I want to keep the 8m price point in attack for potential wilson/watkins moves)

Your thoughts on the 7 mill midfield slots? Szoboszlai/Sterling for differentials.

I own Rashford. Similar to Mount add at Manu, with MacAllister add at Liv, will there be an impact on Trent's modified mid role such that he moves back to a more traditional defender role?

Hi Ross, Have you considered Shaw (5.5) + Enciso (5.5) for Henry (4.5) + Mitoma (6.5). This not only makes the 4-4-2 stronger with TAA-Shaw-Estu-Biel, but also gives you a real attacking bench option in Enciso. Bench headache? Yes, but perhaps a good one!

My current midfield 5 is Saka, Foden, March, Gross, and Jensen... Trying to keep some money in the bank to afford Kane from gw3 onwards

Choosing brighton players has been a headache in my drafts, Ferguson, enciso, Joao Pedro all exciting punts but not nailed enough to risk

I think Madueke is a good shout, less than 1% consider him and at 5,5m he is an alternative to e.g. Encisco.

Great analysis. What do you think of Brighton goalkeepers, Sanchez and Steele?

Nice draft. Mines very similar. I'm torn between maddison OR foden, with mbeumo in the other spot. That extra mil i used for gabriel to shaw and pickford to ramsdale. (edit: and my bench is bentley 4mil gk and semenyo 4.5mil striker... I'm a bristol city fan, sue me....)

I've had similar thoughts but gone for Mbuemo, Enciso, and Son in place of fernandes, madders, and Mitoma. I've popped Alvarez in for now as well. If he nails a place, he could be class.

My team is pretty much nailed on already: Allison TAA - Torres - Shaw - Botman Gross - Rashford - Odegaard - Saka - Fernandes Haaland

Alisson/Pickford rotate brilliantly bis costly but covers any Trent CS points too if you don't have him.

On the Foden pick, is there any chance Kovacic would be a risk to Foden's minutes? And will Alvarez get more minutes this season perhaps and in wing positons? I'm keen on Foden too but am unsure if that risks Foden's minutes.

8/10 Ross mainly because of Pickford and Maddison, the later needs to bed into a system and I would say he’s guaranteed to be nailed

Apparently March was the best of the three brighton mids for underlining data, but gross still outscored both of them. Gross has been consistent every year as well. Nobody knows if march mitoma will turn out to be one season wonders

Gross is aging tho and when injuries occur he plays very deep, even at right back. interesting pick but maybe a bit too differential 😅

Haaland Rashford, Saka, Martinelli, Foden, Mitoma TAA, Stones, James, Estupinan, Zinchenko. I love this draft but is it too heavy on defence? I don’t think i’m missing out on much despite spending a lot at the back.

Same mid with me accept i have Rash instead of Maddy. I like Maddy too and i can use Foden to Maddy or drop Bruno to Maddy as well.Not taking Trent because Liv fixture arent great and 8.0 is just too high. I went for Robbie instead. Similar outcome for less priced

The team is awesome, I think Jesus really the only one bit unsure about - mine very similar but I have Nkuku and Botman instead of Bell & Jesus. No AWB? Of course rotation risk with Dalot but think ETH played him often near the end of last season?

love foden but have mbueno to allow for shaw and ramsdale...also have 7.5 forward allowing gabriel as 4th defender

I had Mount in my team pretty early, especially ay 7m but nobody has him. My 3 UTD were Mount, Rash and Bruno but really wanting Shaw after this video. The issue is I dont know who to drop as I think Mount is good for 7m. Any thoughts, opinions or words of wisdom?

I’ve managed to squeeze Son into the team hopefully he’s over the hernia problem and can kick on this season

What do you think of a punt on alvarez or kovacic? If alvarez starts, at £6.5m he is arguably the best value player on the entire game. And if kovacic at £5m takes over where gundo left off (who was £7.5m) he could be insane value also

Kovacic was a dark horse at Chelsea, and yes alvarez is a good pick imo. Most games haaland was benched he hauled but he still got points when they both played

Opinion on swapping between botman and mings as the third defender in a 3-5-2? They rotate quite well to start with and mings could be another villa defender based on pre-season. Or is it too important to have an arsenal defender like gabriel?

I watched the u21 final an that Sergio Gomez ran the show for Spain,yet Pep has him as lb...Well worth watching him in pre season....

Great video, not sure whether to go for Watkins or Jesus. Jesus might have the better fixtures but Watkins is more of a differential. Also, not sure whether to play it safe with Odegaard or go for a punt on Madders.

Have you thought about a Chelsea 4.5mm defender instead of Henry considering they play Forest (H) while BHA have got Newcastle and arsenal are playing united ?

Thoughts on Dalot as a cheaper more fun punt than Shaw? How likely is it that he will get benched for AWB?

I dont want to waste a united slot on their keeper for any gw they have a double. Id rather have three of fernandes rashford mount shaw. Same goes for Ramsdale With Leno + Rodak im happy because I'll probably only ever want Mitrovic (unless andreas turns into a monster option of course but there are so many mids so what are the chances that andreas is higher than most of the other options? Slim probably). Fabianski + Areola is another option because I would only ever want Bowen. Similarly Pickford + Virginia but its everton 😅 Maybe one of the promoted keepers will end up being the best who knows, and I doubt anyone would want two outfield players from the promoted clubs (Morris/Adebayo and Ndiaye for example)
