I don't think it works for every brand combination. The formulas need to be compatible. I did this with an Anastasia BH liquid lip and the formulas mixed together and got all balled up and crusty. I had to remove it and start over.

My mom and I adore lilacs, I used to live in a house that had a giant lilac bush outside the bathroom window and every time it bloomed we would bring some inside and open to the screen doors and windows so as much of the house as possible would smell like lilacs lol.
