MY CRIPPLING ADDICTION: 200+ Kitchen Knives?!
This is Nolan. He works in the Knifewear Warehouse and handles almost every order that goes out, and he also has a knife collection to rival the Knifewear veterans. Today, he's walking us through about a fifth of his collection.

This video really got me through a difficult morning poo. Also made me want to buy 10 more knives.

You’re all really.. really gross. Read this in my drawing room.
I loved your idea that your knives are useable art! And, you seem to be an amazing, generous and kind human being. Thanks for packing up my last purchase.😊
Yes!!!! Bring on part two of the collection 🎉
Thank you for making me feel better about my small collection of 19 😂

It's a tough job, but someone has to do it 😅
This is what peak human looks like. That’s one heck of a serious collection!
Nolan is a gift. His child like enthusiasm is so pure. We need more Nolan. The world needs more Nolan.

Thank you!
that's a great story about having a classmate in culinary school having a masakage yuki - last year I started culinary school and a good classmate of mine showed me his masakage yuki and that's when my knife collection started, i'm up to a dozen now after a year haha

Oh wow! It's definitely a story we've heard a few times. Welcome to the club!
Nolan, you're an awesome guy. Such a natural on camera. Was amazing to see your collection and of course, how passionate you are! So happy for you man 🥰 Also love seeing like me, that your first were Shuns tooo. Great gateway drug haha I also like how I'm writing this just assuming Nolan is reading this, but that's likely not the case. Also, can't believe your mom wouldn't let you get a RJ. Is that even love? 🤣

Thanks Franco!
Even though I knew he was going to show too many knife bags with that gag, it actually was surprising by the end.. lol
Your story about the Fujiwara Cobalt Special was similar to mine. When I first saw it on the website I really wanted one, but unfortunately they were sold out. I reached out to Naoto and Kevin and they said they would try to get one, but they weren’t able to. Fast forward a couple months, i got the idea to reach out directly on Facebook to Fujiwara and he put me in touch with one of his top employees and I was able to purchase the knife directly from him in Japan. Along with knife he sent me some other goodies that I cherish. It’s one of my fav knives to date (some 300 knives later) and the story of how was I able to get it will always stay with me.
Italian is a little bit tricky. The pork dish "porchetta" is pronounced with a hard K sound, something like "pork ketta". Likewise the proper bruschetta pronunciation is bru·sket·tuh. Ciabatta bread, on the other hand, starts with a sound similar to the way we pronounce "church". The rule is nearly opposite from what an American might think : CH is pronounced like our K. C before I or E is pronounced like our CH.

How is this a "crippling" addiction? Does not look like you cut all your fingers and toes off, using a different knife for each.
It's time to stop.
7:40 isnt it a Nashiji?

Sorta! It's the same design as the maboroshi, but without the tsuchime finish.
