I’m working on moving my Roth IRA to Merrill so I can get preferred rewards with Bank of America. If you had 100k in a Merrill account that no annual fee travel card you showed in your video would have your cash back boosted from the 1.5% cash back to 2.625% cash back with no spend limit. They also have a card where you can get 5.25% cash back on specific categories like dining out (with a $2,500 cap on spend per quarter). You should look into it. I’d bet you’d do a fabulous video. Thanks for all you hard work.

Really enjoy all your content. Can you elaborate on why you hate Cap One? I’ve had three cards with them, and on each they have reduced my credit limit simply because I had not charged enough on them. I took what rewards I had, and cancelled them.

Thanks! My wife & I each had a Venture card for a few years. We liked some of the features & high credit limit, so we just paid the annual fee each year. In 2020, we opened the 360 MM account and put ~50k cash in it. Then, within days of my renewal (after I could cancel & reclaim the fee), they lowered my credit limit from 30k to 1k. I had an 820 credit score, years of history & on time payments with them, and more than my credit limit in cash in their MM. I find this to be a bad way to treat customers. I also thought they were also overly aggressive on some of their fraud detection, but that wasn't as big of a deal. It sounds like you had a similar experience with the credit limit. Was it just after your annual fee was irreversible?

This was really impressive! What’s your procedure for paying all of these cards? Phone apps, website, bill pay through your bank? Just once a month or multiple times?

Thanks! Using the CC company's website, I just put them on monthly auto-pay to pay the statement balance once per month. I just have to remember to set it up when I get a new card.
