also i will make predictions on who wins each series after one of the teams gets four wins in each conference. Until then I have no idea. I would give Dallas the only slight favorite only because Edmonton has struggled in t he playoffs for years. However, maybe that's why no one is giving them a chance. They are looking at previous Edmonton teams and not this one.

If Henrique comes back I think it's Oilers in 6. If Oilers play how they did the past few games then the Oilers take it. but Dallas is really good so idk, picking Dallas to win makes sense.

I’m not sure if Vegas or Colorado would beat Edmonton tbh. Stars are definitely favorites though. Edmonton has more X factors that could take this thing over, but only if we get average goaltending unlike last series.

You look in the comment section and you have fans who absolutely have not watched 1 of the 2 opponents in a given series this playoffs or during the regular season. Yet people speak so definitively about deficiencies or who will win. Im an oilers fan, hope they win but have no real knowledge about the stars, just things everyone says about them. Game 1 will almost be like watching them for the first time this year, cant wait.

Oilers have better high-end players than Dallas, but Dallas can clutch and grab to slow them down. They'll commit a penalty every time McDavid or Drai have the puck but the refs can't possibly call them all. Still excited for both series and to see either a first time Cup winner or a team who hasn't won for 25 years or more!

I do agree the stars have better depth than the oilers, anyone who doesn’t say so is ridiculous, I do however think the difference depth is overblown. Edmonton has almost as many overall goal scorers (13 to Dallas’s 16). Both teams have 9 guys with 2+ goals. Edmonton has 2 players with 8+ goals while Dallas has only 1 with 7. Edm and Dallas both have 1 player with 5 goals. Edm has 2x4, 2x3 and 2x3 goal scorers to virtually match the Dallas 5x3 and 2x2. Edm has 4x1 goal scorers to Dallas’ 7, this is I guess where people reference that “league best depth” 🤷‍♂️ Yes Dallas has the edge for depth, but c’mon people, don’t just recycle the same tired narratives

Oilers played 2 top defences, they weren't able to be shut down. If Oilers lose it's not cause their top players are getting shut down, it won't happen. It's because they get outscored in high scoring games.

Dallas has proven to be the best defense in these playoffs. They held Colorado to 1, AT HOME, and Colorado had just thrashed the "best defensive team" in Winnipeg lol

@howitbe9846 That's totally fair, of course it'll be super tough to stop Edmontons offense. Stars will just have to do like they did last series and at least survive while McDavid and Draisaital are out there, then attack themselves while they're off. Should be a fun series!

@@mahockey3 as someone who is a hardcore Oilers fan and actually watches all the games instead of just looking as stat sheets. It wasn’t a hard prediction to make, but what’s more surprising is almost every “analyst” picking Dallas.

Ekblad should be a top 5 d man in the entire league. Now he is muff cabbage. He was all of Boston's offense. He couldn't figure out which team he played for. The breakaway goal where he skates for no reason to Forsling side of the ice for Zacha goal is just total nonsense. Plus all the turnovers. He has the size and speed, some play making ability, but he keeps worse every year. It all has to be in his head at this point. Maybe all the injuries have given him shellshock. I think FL's third line is going to show up big. Lundell seems to have added nasty to his game and i starting to go to dirty places for goals and plays. I have no idea who plays on the fourth line because they are rotating players and it seems to be a good thing. Fresh legs each game. Okposo is soooo slow though. Wonder if they put in Gags to deal with Rempe. Bennett can't fight right now because his arm injury. He throws a punch it hurts him more then who he is hitting. Lomberg can't fight Rempe because he is 2 feet shorter and wouldnt even be able to punch high enough to hit him.

The panthers looked beaten up by game 6 I imagine a whole slew of nagging injuries way more than the rags will get them in the end

WHEW!!! Thank goodness we are the least penalized team in the league... Oh and our Season PK was top 10 Edmonton PP 26.3 4th PK 79.5 21st Dallas PP24.2 6th PK 82.0 8th Stars in 5 solely because of McDavid and Draisaitl. Going to say it again. Johnston was robbed in last years ROY voting and not even top 3 while Skinner some how was... Dallas rarely gets any love outside of DFW. The commentary from ESPN and TNT have cemented that fact for most to hear and see
