The COBRA hangin with the 6 figure GTR. FORD and GM could make world class performance cars when they want to. That’s just not their MO. The make cars for the people. However, every now and then, once every decade or 2. They will put their engineering prowess on display and the world definitely pays attention. See FORD GT, GT350R, GT500 and of course the Terminator

That pioneer stereo with the little car animation just took me back to my first exposure to a mustang. My uncle had a 97 GT red fire and black leather with that sweet stereo deck haha how awesome. Fast forward to now I have my terminator. Keep up the good work guys.

Your content as well as your brother is by far the best 99-04 there is. All models, V6 through Cobra thoroughly covered. You are my go to for instructional tutorials on anything I am doing with my Bullitt.

I could not agree with you more on the X-pipe vs H-pipe comparison. I had a catless X pipe and SLP Loud mouth 1's on my 03 mach1.... the rasp was in absolutely insane at the 2500-3000 rpm range. Man bro, you are making me look at buying another mach1. Lol

I’ve been following you on IG for probably close to ten years, neat to finally get a backstory on the car. Breaks my heart though because I started following you because of the cobra, and I still can’t afford one myself, at 31 years old now. Pathetic!

I’d thank Jesus if I could get my hands on an 03/04 with 150,000 miles and mismatched colors. I just want a cobra. Banks round here won’t finance them they say they’re $14000 cars lol and my rent is so absurdly high I barely have enough for utilities and my truck payment let alone save to buy cash. Lol my heart HURTS I want one!!!

It was a good deal in hind sight. Harder when they were selling for $16k for a pullied cobra, so it had to have a whipple on it for that price for me. It was a great car and not daily driving it had preserved it. 👍🏼

Great story Danny, I need to work on one of these for my Cobra as well. As far as the ambers it depends on the color for me. Screaming yellow it looks great but I wouldn't want it on my Torch red or Black. That exhaust came out really well. I may touch mine up over this winter. Glad the Cobra worked out so well for you and that is now in very good hands.

Hearing you talk about having to come up with ways to pass inspection is so relatable. We don't have them anymore in my state but when we did I remember my dad having to come up with the funniest hacks to get by so he could keep his car on the road. And to you or anyone else reading this, regarding the new clutch you mentioned you did in another video and you said "you did the 500 mile break in", was this 500 miles of actual city driving or a mix of both? I just got a new clutch in my 02 V6 and out of the 200 miles I've put on it, only about 50 of that is stop and go in town. I read one clutch manufacturer say "generally 500 miles so everyone is covered" and then another say "500 miles of stop and go traffic, NOT including highway miles".

Yes, 500 miles of stop and go city miles is what they are meaning I’m sure. Otherwise you wouldn’t have a lot of mating the disk with the pressure plate and flywheel. It had chatter for about 2 thousand miles easy

Honestly, a lot have been parted out, many exported (Dubai has a lot), many wrecked, some are still around.

You got a really good deal if you just bought that a year ago. Looking at an 03 in zinc yellow with 18k miles and it's 38k. probably a little overpriced since it's a dealer.

If they are going to be terminator specific you’ll need to find them from another car (for sale on eBay or Facebook)

Here in Florida you could have blacked out windows and nobody Cares That's what I like from Florida that we don't have expansions We used to have them they took them Off

I love your car don't get me wrong but personally for me I don't like the amber tail lights I never really have... I have a 2004 mustang coupe with a 3.9 l V6 5-speed manual transmission... I would absolutely love to have the 5.0 dual cam dual valve with a 6-speed manual transmission yes we are talking Terminator cobra and again I would have to be a 2004 because I absolutely love that body style... The reason I don't like the amber tail lights is because to me it detracts from the original look... I do have the sequentials eventually sometime in the future I plan on going with the roxium smoked out outer LEDs for the tail lights inner brake lights and turn signals I do have the by xenon from SW lights and I absolutely love them I have the bullet style wheels for American muscle and I have the shorty antenna from American muscle my mustang is not perfect and there's still a lot of things that could be done there still a lot of things that I want to do... So it's a work in progress but I absolutely do love the car and I absolutely do love the 99 to 04 body style would I ever part with that I don't think so because it's the last of the Fox body... If I could upgrade I also like to look at the 2015 what is that the 50th anniversary edition? But again I'd like to have the 5.0 dual cam dual valve with a 6-speed manual transmission

Another great video, makes me want one! I found a 97 cobra but it looks like it has roughly the same hp/torque as my 2014 3.7 V6. Would like to hear your thoughts...think the 97 Cobra would be more fun to drive?

My mach 1 barely walked away from a full bolt on v6 with 4.10s at the drag strip. A 98 cobra would be slower, but I really prefer the V8 sound. I’d do a Mach 1 or a 5.0 2011+ if you can’t get a terminator- or a 96-98 cobra if it’s a good deal.

BUY THE COBRA! I bought a 14 V6 for the same reason, should be fun to drive like a 96-98 cobra. NOPE. The numbers might be the close on paper, but the actual fun of driving is not.

I comment early too. I get too excited lol. It took a few hours and I didn’t want to damage the paint with a strong chemical, so big and tar worked good but took longer.

I would have now. Back then this was the most expensive car I had bought. I needed a loan and to give a guy money in vegas was not my idea of a safe decision lol

I was never sold on the 4.6L now Coyote 5.0😉
