It's easy to say no one is to be blamed when it's not your child floating on the pool. But I don't think any grandmother would ask for her grandchild only to neglect her to a point of death. I wish healing to both the mother and the grandmother. It's not easy knowing someone died under your care

I once heard a parent who lost a child say when you lose your husband you're called a widow when you lose your wife you're called a widower when you lose your parents you're called an orphan. But there is no word in the English language(I don't know if there is one in our African languages) for a parent who's lost a child. And that's because there are no words that can sum up the depth of the pain of the loss. May God continue to heal you Monica and everyone who felt the pain of losing Chuma.

Her ex husband and his family showed no sympathy when she needed them the most. Their response towards the most tragic event any person could experience was cold…inhuman. I believe that contributed to her pain. The husband should have called her elders/ relatives immediately when he heard the news so they could travel and be by her side. Surely he had her sister or moms number! No matter the situation of their marriage at the time, Chuma was his child, Monica his wife. He had to protect her, comfort her, lead with admin of funeral, ask questions about autopsy etc. She went through so much with such bravery at a young age. Bless your soul Monica. I can feel your love for Chuma and that she loved you too. Amadoda wona. We must chose wisely coz wona ne family zabo can be the descendants of S*atan.

I remember babysitting my niece the other day and my sister left the door open to take a call behind the house for whatever reason. That child vanished in a split second. I noticed that it was too quiet after 10 minutes or so, I panicked so much and looking frantically. Turns out that my dad picked her up in the middle of the road at the busiest time because we live close to 3 schools. I swore to myself I would never take care of a child because accidents happen in a blink of an eye. I don't wanna live with the guilt yoh.

If it was Monica's mother minding the child, this probably wouldn't have happened...maternal grannies care a lot,you know the rest...my mother taught me long ago if you have kids around once it is too quiet something isn't right..so as a mother I always call out whenever my kids are around and it's too quiet...just call and ask what are you doing or check to be sure that all is well...granny is responsible for this child's death.

I was partly raised by both my paternal and maternal grandmothers because my parents worked a lot when I was younger. They both were extremely caring when it came to me...maybe because I am an only child but they made it a point to know EXACTLY where I was at that age...I don't necessarily think its about the maternal side is more caring....its either the individual is caring or they are not. My other question is why wasn't the pool covered? I grew up around pools literally my whole life but all the kids in my family knew that the pool was to be covered unless there was an adult nearby while we swim. The story has a missing link...

From my knowledge, in the event of fatal accident, an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death and in order for that to be done, they will remove the organs and examine them. I'll just make an example with the brain. It will be removed to check if maybe she did not suffer a brain injury before falling into the water, might be a stroke, an aneurysm, maybe she hit her head. In order to do this, they need to slice the brain etc. Those organs are not put back in the body unfortunately. Also, the child had been gone for far too long for any of her organs to still be viable. All I can say is I'm really sorry sisi that they didn't explain izinto kahle kuwena, and that they let you view your child in that way. They couldn't even stitch her kahle knowing you were coming. I'm sorry. 💔

It sounds like there's more to this. Intuitively i can tell there's so much hidden by the husbands family. 1,The arrangement to have the daughter over the grandmother's place. 2, Who opened the sliding door? 3, Why are they defensive instead of grieving along? 4, Will she Jump to the pool? I don't think so cause, she was supposed to be scared of the dogs in the house. 5, The list the father was supposed to do was to Atleast Persue what happened to the organs. 6, Now they arrange the whole funeral, that's guilt. The father sounds to also be guilty. I'm not saying because they are Rich they did something to your kid but I'm saying the finger is pointing at them. They have some explaining to do. Important Question, what is the belief or religion they are following? That might also play a role. After the child's death, did you notice any change in their social life???

My sister made me and my mom watch this and towards the end I heard God speak to me regarding this beautiful lady and her tragic experience. Mommy I am so sorry you had to go through what you went through and I am not sure if you realize how power you are and how powerful your experience especially to other mommy's and daddy's who have lost their own babies is and are also suffering in silence. We always ask God to use us as empty vessels that will carry out his word. You are that vessel personified because no one will completely hear someone who has never lived a mile in their shoes. Just you being on the show I witnessed a little bit of healing in you and I felt a lot of healing on behalf of other mommy's and daddy's that have gained a little angel. What's very clear to me is that you are very special and God chose you and Chuma🌸 specifically for this journey.. I know it hurts but He knew that you could do ALL OF THIS. What I heard God say is "this is her ministry" I love how you are nurturing this part of ministry because not many parents want to minister it. You were called mommy and your being on the show, even if it's to help even one parent is all the glory that God requires. I see you doing wonderful things through this specific ministry and through Christ who strengthens us I see healing for you and many mommy's and daddy's. God bless you. By the way you are gorgeous😍.

I feel for Monica and the rest of the family. They are all dealing with the pain of loosing a child dear to them all. We grieve differently and I know that there is an expectation for the husband to be by her side etc. Truth is, he was also as devastated by the death. While she was crying and screaming, his grief was in silence. He was probably trying to process what had happened. It was not only the death that he was processing, he probably thought of how bad he feels to have allowed their daughter to go to hhis parents. He probably had so much guilt that he couldn't get himself to do anything. Ugogo naye was hurting. It's not nice for someone to die in your care, accident or not. If it was unintentional, it will haunt you. The guilt is so heavy and so to conclude that the husband's family didn't care may probably be reaching. I think this marriage had problems and the death was the last straw. There are mechanisms, therapy sessions, and other ways of dealing with death and marital issues. Monica I pray that God can lead you to peace and healing mama. It takes time, but it is possible. This was a very sad story.

They lacked empathy and sadly that goes for all government institutions in our country. They should have explained to her the whole process of the autopsy if need be, so that she left there with an understanding and not with questions of where her child's organs went.
