Omigosh I love how flouncy the cheerleader skirt is as they move around! Also beautiful song, beautiful performance. Truly anything can happen at a My Chem show!

I was there too! It was my first concert and I can say confidently it was the best night of my life

When they played this song at Toronto I was so happy. I’ve been in a real bad place, I fought super hard just to see their concert, selling childhood prized possessions. Everyone judged me. Doubting myself. Eventually I got to go, I wasn’t expecting this song and once I heard it tears formed in my eyes, almost like I was supposed to be there. And mcr was singing to me. It was a nice reminded that yeah the world is ugly. It was my first concert experience. And it was the best experience of my life.

I sobbed. This meant everything to me that they played this. This was the 1st time I got to see them live. I've been waiting 18 long years. And they played mine and my daughters song. Our favorite song. And they played it beautifully, with all of their hearts.

I was praying for "The Light Behind Your Eyes" No such luck, but I got to see them live and that was everything.

if I ever have the opportunity to hear this song live I will cry all my fucking tears

damn I balled... this song is so important to me along with the light behind your eyes... for tthe past what...7 years? 2015 at 12 years old yeah... I listen to these two songs whenever I feel I cant stand living another day... I would dream of seeing this song live... maybe I was never able to see them live like I dreamed of but at least I heard this masterpiece live...

Ahhh.😣 When I saw the title I totally thought it was gonna be the OG version. 😭 I'll never get why on earth they changed it. It was perfect. I'd die happy to hear it & Stay live....

It had been a long time since the last time they played this song. Omg!! What an emotional moment. One of my favorite songs. 🥹

The 2008 version >>>>>>> this. Sorry MCR I love ya, but I can't jam to this when I know that version is out there which is infinitely more personal and emotive. Oh lord, what I would give to hear that version re-recorded or played live.

i personally like this version better. the one from 2008 is really great too, but i didn't know mcr back at those times. so this is way more personal and strong for me, cuz i can hear what the song souds like now and i love that. but, well, each version has its own magic. *i'm sorry if this bother you or sth, i didn't mean to disturb, nor to be harming in any way*

when i saw The World is Ugly on the tracklist for Conventional Weapons i cried. was super disappointed but ive grown to like this version too. will never top the original. 'are you happy now, that youve got what you came for?' hits too hard
