@Anthony Hernandez That's cool that you went to school with him really, kind of crazy that the "fantards" Have a bit more respect for him though. That just wasn't necessary. And I mean this with the utmost respect I could possibly muster right now

goddamn. hearing him talk about how someone inspired him to play guitar sounds EXACTLY what frank did to me. i played guitar before knowing about mcr, but when i listened to them i tried to sound like them for a long time. but then i listened to his solo projects and i wanted to learn all his songs so bad. there's literally NO song that can match the emotion that "stage 4 fear of trying" has, or that "guilt tripping" has, and when i play them on my stupid guitar it becomes even more emotional. hearing him talk about greg the way i'd talk about him makes me realize he's basically a human? frank, if someday i start to talk with you being drunk and stoned about this PLEASE don't run away lol.

i started listening to everything frank does when i was about 14. frank was 24 back then i guess, now i am 29 and he's 39. we all grew up together and i am so happy we did! i still love everything this man does and love that he is still around doing his thing.

i get where you are coming from, but also i think a lot of the criticism is coming from not fans of frank, but just guitar snobs and from a tonal perspective he had a lot of effects it sounds like on that amp and it sounds very hissy and thin but with a lot of bass so I'm not here to spread negativity, however I am very excited to see his rig rundown when it comes out and I really really wanna know what he uses on the day to day. I love frank dont get me wrong, but that guitar tone was a little iffy. and also maybe what he heard in the room isnt exactly what the camera on his computer picked up, very possible seeing as these computer cameras have LOW quality. so I'm just saying. the criticism is probably not fans, but more likely black flag fans that wanna hear an exact version but that's not even really how covers work lol so yeah i get you. i do, also sorry for writing you a book lol

That Kira/Rollins/Bill Stevenson-era of Black Flag is what I think of as Black Flag! Learning those riffs from the records, including his GONE albums, was an amazing experience, just trying to work out what he was doing that was so different from every other guitarist of the era, was a revelation. Greg Ginn doesn’t get anywhere NEAR the respect he’s due as a player. But he does from ME!! Me and my brother went to see Black Flag last week in Glasgow and they were friggin awesome! And Greg is 68!! Unreal.

I will still never forget when, *on* my thirteenth birthday, Black Flag was playing in my city. Of course, I bugged my parents into letting me go. It ended up being just me and my dad, and, let me tell you, dragging an adult to a concert with a band they don't like (especially when that band is Black Flag) for your first mosh pit show is unimaginable and hilarious.

I don't think Greg was being as ungrateful to him as he may think - He's been through a lot of s*** in life a lot of people like him a lot of people hate him . I've met him a few times and that's just how he is. Those songs are him and his world - he doesn't live in our world. I am so glad that he did not attempt a solo when he played part of the song in the beginning as a demonstration. I think he's one of the top hard rock guitarists ever

It's an Eletric Guitar Company (EGC) with acrylic body and aluminum neck.All their guitars have aluminum necks. Brent of Mastodon uses some of their models.

i think as someone with an eating disorder, fatphobia is a term that sounds in itself harsh.. also i don't think zeroing in on this topic makes it better, as it only draws more attention to a negative topic. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but I personally would hate my name being used in any way when it comes to health. overweight, underweight, "perfect" weight.. i would just rather be known for my art rather than having people stick up for me saying fat doesnt define someone because i would read that and just hear that people think im fat and it shows because more people are talking about it. idk sorry about the book.
