My car got stolen but had an Apple Airtag

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

my car got stolen but had an Apple Airtag. The Golf GTE went away for 4 days to have some bodywork painting done, 20 days later it still hasn't been returned. Has my car been stolen? let's see if we can track it with my apple airtag in the car.

In my area are 2-3 very busy big painting shops and all of have they'r own at least 10 cars (if not more) and when someone bring the car need to be fixed they get the customer car inside, evaluate it and instantly lend to the customer a car for the whole period of time when the customer car is inside the shop to be fixed until is done.. When the customer car is ready they call the customer that brings the shop-backup car and pays for the painting work and get the car fixed from the shop.Guys with smaller garages are not popular in here.

Regarding a camera in the car... I once had an Octavia RS into the main dealer for a service and it was in their carpark afterwards waiting for the courtesy wash that I'd told them not to perform (that's another story.) A couple of their lads jumped in and one commented on the front and rear dashcams to which the second replied that they're hardwired so always recording. Moments later the driver floored it from a cold start, in sport mode, across the bumpy gravel parking area giving mine and every other car they passed a free sandblasting. Some people simply either don't care that they're being recorded or don't have the brain capacity to consider the implications.

Maybe, the original accident was his fault. Maybe that's why he decided to save money and not get it fixed through insurance. Think about it... if he had reported it to the police, they surely would have investigated his claims, including the accident (that may have been his fault, which would be a reason for someone not wanting the insurance to know), which may have led to a whole bunch of new problems for Paul. Just because someone gets taken for a ride, doesn't mean they're fully innocent. ;-)

They might have lost a few quid here but they got 193 free travel miles. It seems they are running a shady operation (criminal) and are probably doing it again to another paying customer who may never know the difference. Maybe someone's vulnerable parents etc. They're driving around uninsured having taken your car without your consent. A criminal offence. If they had a crash I bet they would probably flee the scene. They need to be dealt with officially to dissuade them from doing it again. It's the best way to disrupt them... Not a video for a few likes and follows! I sincerely hope that this has been reported. We need more people like you mate.

Why bother when you can just borrow other people's all the time 🤬 You did the right thing not naming them and paying them something (however small) shows respect and dignity in the face of a complete moron! 👏👏👏

PAUL, I am so impressed with you as a person. Those guys did a very poor job yet, you STILL paid them something. That meant they covered their miserable costs without them seeking some revenge of sorts. You would make a great politician, diplomat, advisor etc., etc. In a court of law, those rogues would be paying you compensation for sure. I take my hat off to you sir!

I'm glad things worked out for you and hopefully they learned an expensive lesson.

You work hard for your money, don't give it away. Make them work hard for it and get what you paid for ! Good job Paul! And respect for not lowering yourself to their level. You kept your dignity and by paying them for some of their work you understand they made a mistake and they probably have a family to feed. Hopefully they will strive to be better to others.
