Dee! I just started my first round of chemo for stage 2 HER2 positive breast cancer. I’m on day #6. Days 3,4,5 I felt really awful. Tired and achy and not really functioning. My Zarxio injections on days 3-9 really make me achy. Thank you for positing your cancer journey. You have been a joy to watch and very informative. I hope you are happy and healthy!! 😘

My mom went through this exact dose of chemo last year- she hated the Neulasta .... overall she did well with the chemo.....

David A thanks David! I’ve done four rounds now and finally used to it. Taxol is next but definitely feel that the chemo is working! Hope your mom is doing well now!

Dee Doherty listen, right now, this is all scary and super gloomy and dark, but you’re going to be fine. Just like the ole ship story- youve got to just take down your sail right now, ride out the storm, then... you’ll see sunlight again and you can put your sail back up and go on with life. My mom did 4 Red Devils and 12 taxols... she did fine... her hair has came back, she did her surgery... she’s on the mend :)

I just started watching today... I just had my lumpectomy and nodes were clear, margins were clear. But high Oncotype of 45; chemo and radiation recommended. I’m in a tailspin of dread right now: your story is giving me some hope💗

I had my first chemo on 9 sept for breast cancer. Docacetal drug reacted me very badly. Felt very short breathe and blurred vision. They stopped that drug for the session.

I don't have to have adriamycin for this treatment for breast cancer, but I had it 25+ years ago, for Hodgkin's lymphoma. I was 27. My son was three. You are such a tough, strong mama! It's funny, the things that we remember, or don't. I don't remember peeing red! I do, however, remember the color of the IV bag. I'm a huge #belowdeckmed fan, so still had to try aperol. It's hard to understand the obsession with it; I think it tastes like adriamycin would! 😂(Also, anyone who takes adriamycin needs to keep track of how your heart is doing years later, for what is known as 'late effect' heart problems. There are great medications now to help protect the heart, both during chemo and years later.) Cheers!

I won't go into the reason why I've been looking up Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma but I see most of the patients are a young girls and I can say without a doubt these young girls are so strong and they all seem so positive and strong and their faces always glow and they have this sense of being victorious I always thought I was strong but compared to these girls I realized that I'm weak

My prayers go out to you and your family I also have two kids a 14 yr old and a 1 yr old was diagnosed with cholangiocarinoma cancer in the bile duct I had half my liver gallbladder bile ducts and 23 lymphnodes removed just to save my life I am 37 years old so I understand the kid thing completely I cry just looking at my kiddos faces I'm on my 2nd cycle of chemo now but I feel alot better then I did when I was jaundice and septic that's forsure anyways good luck to you and your family may God bless you with a miracle as well

hello dee i had heard with food and drink people have said drink/eat (sometimes) things you dont really like. because it takes away the ....i dont like/or want things i do like. have you heard about this?

Why did you not get a port placed?

Brook McKinney not everyone needs a port it depends on type of cancer ,length of treatment,how good your veins are or how old you are(under age 25 always get one,regardless)....I’ve actually had 3; but my treatments were every week or every 2 weeks for 3 .5 years each time(3x)so a very long treatment regime, unlike someone who may only need treatments once a month for only 6 months
