@@cloudyview Maybe I'm mistaken, but I assume that many people would value such a check way above its monetary value, especially if it was their first on their way to becoming an actor. So, while I'm sure it does cost more to send than it is monetarily worth, I think that the guild keeping it would be pretty bad PR. Actually, after some quick web research, one has to pay enough in dues to even be in SAG that I don't think they even have an excuse not to send you what you're owed. The guild is making money regardless.

It cost more for them to send you the check then the check is actually worth 😂
I felt that. I published an article in an in-house professional periodical. One-time check for $7.18. It's framed and hanging on the wall in my office at home.
Wait a second........WAIT A SECOND!!!!!! THIS WAS JOHN GREEN THE WHOLE TIME?! HOW DID I NOT KNOWWWW😭😭😭😭
I'm so happy to know I can personally thank you for bringing me the story I love so much. I cry every time in the best of ways. the story taught me that love doesn't have to last forever for it to have a profound and lifelong effect on you. so thank you so much for gifting the world with this story.💖☺️

I read the book when I was about 14 years old and I loved it but I never quite knew why. To me it was just kind of well written and like, good characters and stuff and I never gave it much thought. But yeah, yes.
A speaking line! People wait YEARS for those!
Your still awesome for writing that amazing book. Keep being awesome! 😊📚
I keep having to rewatch the short because I keep forgetting to listen 😂 Edit: weirdly I thought I was commenting on a different short but it ended up here

He’s joking babe. It’s one of the most successful novel to movie pieces of all time.
When the postage is cost more then the check itself😂
Whoa- wait - what? Congratulations on the success of your book!
Lol aww. Honestly they should have just had him in the background or done a part that had no words. Either way it’s a good story 😂
Indian Springs student here! I’ve been watching your channel for a month and only yesterday did I realize it was THAT John Green. Go springs
Ballin! This how rappers who sign 360 deals feel every quarter.
YOU WROTE THAT BOOK??? This is the only time I'll ever remember the author of a book
If you look up the movie cast John is listed as Little Girl's Father
Thank you for writing that story. You're worth a bit more than 16 cents.
I love that the google search of the film shows him as the third person under “Cast”
