I heard from other actors that the checks get less and less each year then further away you are. So can you imagine he may be able to retire in 2016 if not for that.

The total cost of producing and mailing that check is probably magnitudes more than the amount of the check. If I was head of SAG, anything under $5 would be a donation to the guild with a thank you email 🤣

@@cloudyview Maybe I'm mistaken, but I assume that many people would value such a check way above its monetary value, especially if it was their first on their way to becoming an actor. So, while I'm sure it does cost more to send than it is monetarily worth, I think that the guild keeping it would be pretty bad PR. Actually, after some quick web research, one has to pay enough in dues to even be in SAG that I don't think they even have an excuse not to send you what you're owed. The guild is making money regardless.

Your the best John! 😂 this made my day lol I read your book way back in the day, and loved it, considering I'm not a big reader thats an accomplishment all on its own. But when it was made into a movie I was very excited to see Hazel-grace in 3d lol I told my best friend that we would have to go together, unfortunately he didn't make it to the release of the movie. He had brain cancer, had been invincible for 16years after being told his life was changed forever. He relearned how to talk and walk and he was truly the biggest inspiration in my life, and one of the people I cared about most in the world. I went to watch the movie with my 2 other besties only a few hours after his memorial. Then finding you on the internet so many years later fills my heart, you are an amazing soul, and hilarious! Just thank you for being you, you have made a huge impression on my life, and seeing little 1 min snippets of you are awesome, even the TB content! Lol 😁

I hard core love crash course history on KZread, legit helped my dyslexic ass understand and process the written content in my history and politics degree, and now I super love Crash course black American history... but I was today years old when I realised your the same guy who wrote 4 of the novels on my bookshelf....!!! a abundance of Katherine's was always my favourite. Combining that typical nerdy guy on the internet who teamed up with his hs science teacher, with the author of a neurodiverse protagonist, (I'm also neurodiverse) is going to require several more hours of processing..... Way to go man :)
