I love goal videos! Can't wait for your purge/unhaul videos. My #1 reading goal for 2024 is working towards a zero physical tbr. I'm down to 33 so it feels attainable (but many of those 33 books are HUGE like the count of Monte Cristo or Morte D'Arthur 😂 so we shall see) I would LOVE to join in reading sprints on your channel. I only have ever participated in Krista's and love them

This coming year I definitely plan to break up with the library. Since I work there, that is hard! But this year I read WAY more books from the library than I read books I own. I want that to be opposite. I want to read mostly my owned books, and just the occasional library book, and try to get my owned and unread number way down! That’s my main goal! I envision having shelves full of five star books that I really loved, and not a bunch of stuff I don’t even know if I like!

I've gotten my physical TBR (not counting classics) down to around 50 books. I use your challenge to help me get through those (or dnf, unhaul, choose again). I'll be doing that again this year (i also purged books I'm not interested in any more.) BUT I'll say I've had to be pretty strict with myself and library books because i found myself reading too many of those instead... so i had to set up some rules for the library books (buddy reads/group reads or project reads only (such as I'm reading through the Pulitzer Prize list)). I'm excited to see all of your video ideas come to fruition. Also the purging and unhauling. I've decided to sort my Goodreads tbr into "date added" and I'll be mostly reading thru my OWNED physical tbr that way (not counting series)...(unless i need to wait and use that book for your challenge). If I'm not in the mood for a certain book, I'll skip to the next book but i want to rotate through my books that way.

This year my goal was read 100 books and by September I already had 160.😂 I hope to read 200 next year. And try to read every day.😊 My goals also include read more skill based books. Books that would help me learn new skills or improve something in my life. I didn't read many fiction this year so I hope to read a bit more next (I'm following your reading Challenge) I only have ebooks (I have thousands of ebooks😅) So I hope to purge some of them or find new favourites. I not going to buy any new one. I been thinking about starting a bookTube channel this year but I'm still hesitant. 😊 (I like inventing reading challenges 😁)

I like the idea of creating a list of classics that you want to read. 2024 I'm going to read / re read the origin books for the charters of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and I'd like to read more translated work.

Maybe I should use the Read Your Bookshelf Challenge to actually read books from my unread pile instead of any book in my Goodreads tbr. 😅 I have selected 24 books I want to prioritize in 2024. I should probably also purge my read books as I am running out of shelf space and a place to put new shelves.

I want to focus more on reading the books I own too, especially ebooks-I have over 200 of them and have only read a fraction of them. It’s kind of a problem at this point. 😅😂

Reading sprints would be cool, and your idea for the podcast thing sounds fun! My reading goal this year is to read my tbr and not buy anymore books. I basically am banning myself from buying physical books until my tbr is almost zero.

I'm trying to keep my goals pretty simple for next year. I have a tendency to want to make ALL the goals at the start of the new year, but then about halfway through I lose interest in them or get stressed out because I don't have as much time left to achieve them and the second half of the year feels busier than the first half. That said, I want to finish series in which I only have one book left to read before they're finished (because there are a lot of them 😅), buy no more than 30 books, and read at least 6 books over 500 pages. Despite getting through 7 big books this year, I still have a lot left to read on my shelves.

My reading goals did a nose dive this year. I am thinking about going by month instead of the whole year. That might be better for me. I want to read more non fiction and more fantasy. I would like to read 50 books this coming year. 📚📚📚

Month by month is a good way to set goals. I'm a weird one and I like to set goals each trimester, so January-April, May-August and September-December, it's what I find works best for me, but I also set some for the whole year.

I have wanted to start a KZread channel with a focus on comparing movies and the books they are based off of. The Haunting of Venice was a good movie, but it had very little to do with The Hallowe'en Party

Oh that is a cool channel idea! And A Haunting in Venice isn't a bad movie, I was just expecting something different since I've read Hallowe'en Party and it just frustrated me so much that they would put Agatha Christie's name on the movie. I think that your channel would do well!

My only big goal for next year (so far) is read 7000 pages in January. I tend to prefer keeping the structure loose, besides 140 books total and 2/3 books by women.

Yes the podcast interests me ( and many others it appears) i recently discovered a podcast with honest book reviews but those are all fiction and no classic literature. My goal is to read more non fiction and french or spanish books. To finish series sooner certainly will be reading the BJORK series and new [ or older] FOOLEY and SAGER books and some selfhelp books / psychology & sociology books And this year I will be reading an ALMUDENA GRANDES book.

I have a few goals for 2024. I’m planning on starting your DIY literature degree, focusing on turnof the venture authors, specifically those who fought in WWI and look for that in their writing. My literary mentor will be Tolkien. I also want to start looking into Japanese literature, and read more classic overall. Plus all the sci fi and fantasy I can handle lol.

I would love a rant podcast that wasn’t ridiculous and annoying. I am subscribed to a booktuber who gives great information in their rant videos but this persons delivery drives me crazy. I can see you having rant discussion videos that were calm and kind and I would enjoy that.
