The world is a better place with DanTyminski in it, the Bluegrass world would be a sorry sight without him. Great brief interview, wonderful to hear a few short stories from the man.

I hope AKUS makes at least one more album in the future. They've left all of their fans hanging, wondering what's become of the band, for over a decade now.

I have been in love with Alison Krauss and Union station since I heard the song baby, now that I found you. Ever since then, I have enjoyed their music on a daily basis. I heard of them only 2 years ago, and it would be such a shame if I never got to see and meet them live.

@@bluebillygrit1 I sure hope so. My favorite era of the band was with Adam and Alison Brown, but I know that that will never happen again. Unfortunately, I have heard some shows from a few years ago, and Allison's voice isn't the same, but her music has meant so much to me, I would have to take the opportunity to see them live.

@@superblindeye1 Yeah. It's highly unlikely that lineup will ever happen again. But I could see Steffey returning in Jerry's place if he didn't return to AKUS. I'm one of the crazies that prefer Alison's fiddle playing over her voice, so I'm partial to her earlier material, even though I think all of her albums are spectacular. At this point, I'm indifferent to whatever lineup of AKUS we get, I just want to see them live again.

@@bluebillygrit1 I actually prefer the earlier days of Allison as well. I didn't much care for the paper airplane album. But I do have the too late to cry CD, I've got that old feeling, every time you say goodbye, live, and lonely runs both ways. Not to mention, the now that I found you collection. She is my favorite of all time. Have you ever got to meet her? It's nice to meet other fans of the band, as where I am now, I haven't been able to find any. if you are interested, I've done a few of their covers on my KZread channel.

Thanks so much. Please help others like Douglas and Cleveland tell their stories or do auto bios for posterity. We have a golden age of musical richness and people like you and AK et al need to save the story.
