Ok but putting aside money for every book you unhaul is brilliant?? Like, I can't believe this has never occurred to me, because it makes so much sense?? Trust Olivia Savannah to revolutionize the TBR game 💅 The matching set of Toni Morrison puts my heart at ease in a way I didn't know I needed, and I've only heard the absolute best things about The Final Strife so my fingers are really really crossed that you love the series!! Sci fi novel in verse, you say?? I'm restraining myself from running to the bookstore at least until I hear your thoughts on it, but I've got a good feeling 😍 I love horror with a Frankesteiny, flora/fauna bent to it, and cannibalism is so spooky yet intriguing to me, so a whole lot your horror zone sounds fantastic. YES MORE KILEY REID!!! It's going to be fantastic. No, I'm not manifesting. There's no need to, because anything Kiley Reid writes WILL be perfection. Rouge is definitely literary leaning, but there's definitely some speculative stuff going on, too. Just so you're not blindsided when you pick it up! I adore themes of religiosity in books. Maybe I'm biased as a religious person, but I feel like spirituality is so much at the core of the human experience that it's weird to me when I feel the absence of faith in a story? I try so hard not to be an aesthetics snob for books....... and then I see the Penguin clothbounds. They're just so beautiful! I really love that you and your sisters talk books ❤ it's really sweet and I love families who read together!! Strong Female Character resonated with me so hard. It's really fantastic. But I may be biased lol All of these books sound so good and yet again my book buying ban is a thing I'm regretting 😭 I hope you love all of them when you get to them, Olivia Savannah!

Haha thank you! I had fun seeing it build over the year and felt very proud by the end! I am really enjoying reading my way Toni Morrison. It really is Kiley Reid's world and we all just live in it. I saw your review of rogue after this, so I'm definitely set on what to expect now. I really like spirituality at the core of my reading too, even if it may not be my own faith so I understand. I'm very blessed to have so many reading sisters. I'm glad strong female character could resonate with you so much. I cannot wait to read it all the more 🤗

This is a HAUL and I’m here for it!!! The mangas definitely help boost the numbers in this haul haha I NEED to read The Battle Drum and I just have such high expectations for it! But I should really read it soon 😅 Calypso sounds fascinating. Sci-fi novel in verse?!?! Gimme!! Neuromancer is one I’ve heard quite a bit about so I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts Fragile Animals is one I’ve never heard of but omg that sounds great How High We Go in the Dark - I need to hear your thoughts!!! Chain Gang All Stars has been shouted about all over my bookternet and I need it! Highly agree about Emezi’s covers, the US ones are always better! The Bees! Lizzie has told me apparently I need this one. Excited to hear your thoughts! Jane Eyre love 😍😍 Dead Weight has such a cool cover, and I hate that eating disorders are getting popular again Black and British is a book I’ve heard SO much about! Starfish has such a pretty cover 😍 One day I’ll read Heartstopper 😅 The City Beautiful, I think I need to pick that up! I loved Amari! I need to carry on with the series!! Wow what a wonderful haul! So many gorgeous and fascinating looking books! I’m going to be doing a 6 month haul at some point and I will not have anywhere near as many 😂 my most recent are two kids books in Swedish I got while I was out there!!

I’ve watched some of the anime Jujitsu show because my husband is a huge anime fan! It’s cool! But wow 😮 that’s a lot of volumes! You’re going to love Abby Jiminez books…probably Yours Truly more! I still have to read The Final Strife and Battle Drum because book 3 is coming out August! And also I loved Faebound by the author! Sister trope! ❤❤❤

The 120+ number started to look much more reasonable when you started showing all the sets :- D I liked Jane Eyre, Silas Marner and Lady Chatterlay in high school and college, no idea what I'd thought now :- D I guess at that time I liked how depressing Wuthering Heights was but I remember it was a nightmare you wanted to wake up from :- D

Yes, those collections definitely contributed to over third over the haul. Good to know you did like silas manor and lady chatterly back in the day at least 😄 A nightmare you want to wake from reminds me of my wuthering heights experience quite a lot lol.

PENANCE PENANCE PENANCE koffkoff… I also really love The Whistling but there is a problematic bit right before the end which feels clumsy and like something a sensitivity reader would have caught BUT The Black Feathers (her next one) didn’t have anything like that so I’m hoping it was just a blip! I have SO many of these on my TBR so we should really finally do a challenge with each others’ TBRs 👀

It's good to have that warning about the whistling and it is good to know that the author has improved since then. I really want to get to penance sooner rather than later but I just need to be in the mood for something a bit more psychological. And YES DM me any time about doing a TBR reading challenge. 😇

I remember loving The Dispossessed when I read it 10 years ago but it's been so long, deffo time for a reread 😅 Certain Dark Things is cool! It's definitely very noir in its pacing and plotting which I think is where a lot of the struggle comes from, but it's still a very cool read 😊 Oh Black and British is BRILLIANT! Such a beast but soooo worth it, it's just a gem. This is such a fab selection of books, what a cracking haul 🤩

Wandering Souls is so good. It’s very short so not a ton of character depth but I loved it. I want to read some Mona Awad. The Death of Vivek Oni is my fave Emezi . Can’t wait for their new one out this summer I think it is. I LOVED Transcendent Kingdom. I love Elle McNicoll’s books… she can do no wrong ❤️ You have so many great books I hope you love them all. I borrowed a book from the library today Good Girls:A story and study of Anorexia by Hadley Freeman ❤
