I've wasted all these years convinced I could not draw. It is because of you I've discovered I actually can. Your method of doing minis and then working bigger is soooo helpful. Your calming voice has given me real confidence. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Cheers
Thank goodness I found you, I can actually draw and never knew it! I’m loving it, ok I’m copying you at the moment, but hey ho, I’m doing it! Thank you so much for sharing your skills.
My goodness Ellen, you are such a wonderful teacher!!. I can listen and watch you for hours, everything you did and talked about in this tutorial made so much sense. You say that it will “ only be a rough sketch”, but magically, you end up with a “sophisticated” floral I think I love you ❤ lol
Thank you, Ellen, this was very helpful. Perspective, now that’s a nasty word for a budding artist. Thank you for helping us turn our wiggle-wiggles into a semblance of something. 😊
Amazing Ellen! I stumbled onto your videos today and have learned more from this 45 minute video than I have in many other teachers and artists. You do a wonderful time of showing me how to draw flowers from different perspectives and seeing flowers from every different direction and angles, and how to get them look sophisticated with all the lines. I am in awe of your talent, just maybe I can do this. Not as pretty as yours and certainly not as fast.❤
Thank you, Ellen. Your videos on botanicals get me to add more and more to a composition... I take off and feel the confidence to do my own thing!. Very fun. You are a wonderful teacher.
Great explanation for drawing florals! Thank you for taking the time. I always struggle trying to draw these. This is why I started to paint with watercolors. Love the florals!
Thank you so much Ellen so enjoyed all your teachings on flower compositions…wishing you a beautiful day❤
Oh Ellen you're such a great teacher!! I'm going to practice flowers all weekend, more bad weather here lol .

So helpful! Thank you for your slow, through explanation! I’m a senior and many tutorials go too fast. We can do this!
I like to come back to this tutorial now and then, it is great! Very comprehensive.
This is FANTASTIC!! Thank you Ellen !! I've been trying to figure this stuff out the hard way, one flower at a time. I needed someone to explain these general principles to me.
Thank you, thank you! Very informative. I learned so much as I have struggled with perspective creating flowers.....and perspective in general with my art. This was awesome!

Thanks for all the helpful information, Ellen!
Very indepth lesson in real time. Thank you.
Great tutorial Ellen…perspective & shading in florals makes a big difference…I didn’t realize I was doing perspective intuitively …
Lovely composition. Especially useful to see different angles of the flowers to move it up a level from primary school images 😀. Like you say no substitute for practice. I definitely prefer to draw with pencil first to work out the shape. Oval tip is great! Good to have a practice piece of paper to doodle - I don't do that enough.
Thank you so much Ellen for sharing this video … can hardly wait to help my wonkie flowers 🌸
Love, love, love, thank you so much. That was very helpful
