Oh please dont think that wicker basket looks like 1920 or be embarrassed to walk down the street with it filled with your home grown veg its a proud moment , i absolutely love wicket baskets to use for shopping at the market , good harvest for the Christmas vlog and in regards to garden fork try to find a carbon steel one where the whole fork is forged in one piece these definitely dont snap or break

Love your videos. Has anybody mentioned an old timers tip for lifting parsnips ..... dig a small hole, or trench next (close) to the parnsnip/s ; pour in some water to soften the earth ; then you can just wiggle the roots out without slicing or spiking them! I have tried it, and it does work, but it's probably not a very eco-freindly use of water.

Small sprouts are the best.

Hi Emma place your sprouts in a bowl or pot of salt water for a few hrs if there is any slugs inside they will come out they dont like the salt...have a nice Christmas and enjoi your sprouts

Merry Christmas from New Zealand. We have lettuce, radish, carrots, silverbeet/spinach, cabbages, cauliflower, broccoli, broadbeans a selection of onions/garlic, and potatoes ready, no peas as the birds eat them I garden in whats called a mountain zone. A friends sister is making tomato relish from her glasshouse grown tomatoes in Christchurch.
