What the heck, I thought the Crafsman was right behind me. That was some next level voice throwing.
One of my secret joys is clicking subtitles on these videos and watching the KZread robots struggle to interpret CrafsMan's smooth and melodic Louisia-ness

I love Apoxy Sculpt. I don't know how I made anything before I found it. Side note, isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) works just as well as the solvent that's sold for Apoxy Sculpt. You get more for your dollar with rubbing alcohol.
Being a kid from the eighties, I really appreciate your Crafnation Presents sound effect
My husband looks at me sideways whenever I'm watching Craftsman (you'd think after all this time, years even, he'd be used to it) cause I LOL!! Everytime!! I don't comment everytime, BUT I Love Craftsman forever!!
"Only knead what you need" -- words to live by.
I had to go and watch the "Don't Forget to Wear Your Dust Mask" video again, after this. That Scout Trooper in a dust mask gets me every time.
"Bite size pieces" got Free-range Chicken sweating 😅
I'm loving the "crafnation presents" bumper at the beginning you've been using! Takes me back a few decades!

You can tell Crafsman has never used Zbrush. His hair doesn't have big chunks pulled out of it.

There was a short time that I suspected you and my doctor were the same person, so I wore my crafnation T-shirt to an appointment. He didn't seem to notice it sooooo.. 😂😂
For anyone that might want to use sculpey, you can get bake and bond (I believe it's called clay adhesive now or similar) where you can glue either baked or un-baked parts of sculpey together. Also you can bake it as many times as you want, but I can totally see why it doesn't work for certain projects!
Another awesome tip for Aves and other epoxy-based sculpting clay I picked up a few years back: cling film, celophane wrap, plastic wrap - whatever it's called where you live - makes a FANTASTIC resist for it. You can put some of that stuff on something you want to take an impression of, smash the epoxy clay into it, let it set up, and then clean peel the wrap off the dried epoxy clay. Really handy for doing repairs to existing parts and getting really nice tight fits between multiple parts (like if you're making an articulating toy or something). You get a perfect impression of the master without leaving a bunch of epoxy chunks all over it, and without having your epoxy chunks covered in a release agent (which ime can make it set up weird).
in my teens apoxie sculpt was an unattainable 'holy grail' of sculpting materials! now that i use it regularly as an adult i feel super lucky!! i feel all the same ways about sculpey, haha.
Crafsman! I just got my pin. Really beautiful.

Thank you so much for your support! SO glad you like it! :D
I used to use super sculpey, making bowling pin sculptures for my Etsy shop. I had to sculpt whatever elements I needed and then lower the bowling pins into boiling water, 'cause I wasn't about to put a nylon coated pin in our oven. Then after being introduced to apoxie sculpt(via the free range chicken video) I immediately bought some. Best decision ever, no more holding bowling pins over a pasta pot of boiling water for 15-20 minutes every time i sculpt. I have been using it for any/all sculpting I need to do since.
Your ventriloquist talents are impressive. I literally thought someone else was speaking!
I have a weird dislike of the sound and texture of sandpaper. I've found jewelry files to be amazing tools when it comes to shaping and smoothing epoxy clay. Scotchbrite pads and steel wool are also nice for getting a matte finish. Just wanted to add those thoughts in to anyone looking for additional tools.
I have been having a rough day. This right here was just what I needed to make me feel better. Keeping it between the ditches is rough just now, but now I have the memory of the CrafsMan's voice telling me to do just that. It helps. Thank you, CrafsMan. Lots of love to you and yours.💗
Lovely. Keep up the ventriloquism practice, it gave me a much-needed laugh today!
Just so you know, you can mix different 2 part epoxies! I've come to rely on a mix of green stuff and apoxie sculpt. I usually do about 25-30% GS for building the basic shape, and then 50:50 for doing finer detail work. You'll want to mix the Apoxie first then the GS then mix both together.
Just wanted to drop a note of thanks - for the great content always, but in particular for the timing of this one. I had spent the day facing literal life & death issues for very close family. Anyway, loads of stress & worry. Got home after they ran us out of the ICU (visiting hours y'all) to find a Crafsman vid-o in my subscription list! There's just something soothing and detoxing/de-stressing about you. Bob Ross of crafting? Yeah. But funnier. I needed that. Right then. A video to help pack what little sanity I have left back in my head. May God bless you...'cause He did me ...through you!
I forgot all about TrueSpace. That was the first 3D software I ever dabbled with, way back in 1998 when I built my first computer. TheCrafsman always stirs up my nostalgia.
Dang, CrafsMan could get a lil puppet and take up ventriloquism with them skills
Favorite parts of this video: Music! Super cool helmet design tips & tricks 🎵dust mask🎵
Hey Crafman, I know you won't see this, but I want to share anyway since you're the reason I started my own 3d printing service, but if you angle your molds just a bit, like 15 degrees, it makes the part stronger, and there's less failures. At 8:59 you can see that the bottom edge of the models are parallel to the make plate. Just give them a bit of a twist so that there aren't any supports on that bottom edge that are making contact with the model at the same time. It helps distribute the suction force from when the make plate rises up from the FEP film. Especially at the beginning when where the model transitions from the supports to the actual work piece. The least amount of the surface area in a given slice that has be pulled free of the FEP film the better.
Listening to CrafsMan after a hard day working in the workshop is truly the most peaceful and relaxing thing on earth. Thanks for doing what you do, CrafsMan
Yessss! My favorite sculpting medium. Magic Sculpt is also a comparable product that is a little less expensive. I like to use a soft artist paint brush as well silicone tipped tools dipped in water to smooth with. I keep some cut up old tee shirts handy to wipe my hands and tools as needed.
CrafsMan, you’re ventriloquist act had me laughing so hard I had tears. I think that act is ready for the road...or a KZread original series.
Nice video Crafsman. Man, I do love me some Apoxie Sculpt! Wow, I'm excited about your Siraya Tech clear. It would simplify the plastic injection molding so much if you could bypass the metal frame - cheaper, faster, better. Fingers crossed. Excellent work... plus a pretty cool wire song, I'm gonna' put that one on my Spotify playlist.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. You really have a strong sense of pure creative happiness.
If you're looking to try different free sculpting softwares I'd recommend trying Blender after watching a few sculpting tutorials on it! Great video as always Crafsman

i just saw this while i was in the gym, there’s nothing quite like squatting while also learning about clay sculpting from the Crafsman
Few KZread experiences keep me smiling the whole video. Love ya, Craftsman!
I received my SteadyCraftin purchases over the weekend. I love the enamel pins, the caution stickers, and the other add-ons you shipped as well. Thank you so much, CrafsMan. Your work brightens my day.
Safety solvent! Who knew?! Best tip. I liked that you showed the difference between that and using water. Thank you!
The way he only slightly moved the puppets lips for his ventriloquist act, crafsman I love yaah
Perfect timing, Crafsman. Ordering my first batch of Apoxie Sculpt today, and this will help a lot for the project I'm getting it for. Even though I've watched a ton of epoxy clay videos to prepare, you still mentioned a couple tips no one else did. Thank you.
Thanks for being here for me.
Every time I watch one of your videos, it just makes me so happy inside. You have such a wonderful way of being you. Thank you, Crafsman.
“Only knead what you need”, it took me a moment 😊 great tips and you are a hoot 😂
your voice is so soothing, you should have a second channel where you read bedtime stories to people who have trouble sleeping.
I cannot tell you how much i appreciate your videos. You teach us so much and your voice is so calming! Thank you.
Craftman, Craftman, love what you do here you been a big influence on depression and self awareness appreciate you so much thanks for everything you do respect ✊
Your videos not only teach craftin technique, but they are excellent guides for sound design and visuals- all those little things you put together work so well because they are subtle and add just enough spice to the mix. I get inspired every time I watch your show.
Your craft show only gets better and better

Oh my good Lord. I found this video today and I will NEVER go back. You are so FUNNY! I laughed so much at the end with the ventriloquist hand puppet. Too funny! Nice to meet you crafman!
That Crafnation title card is FANTASTIC! So subtle but very charming and fits the theme of the channel so well.
thanks for the tips. Its something I want to mess around with but never knew where to start. You're the best Mr Crafsman!

CrafsMan, you are an excellent sculptor and an excellent ventriloquist. Your outro had me laughing like a maniac. Thank you for making my night. Also, thanks for the tips. I was wondering whether to buy Epoxy Clay or Sculpy for an upcoming project, and now I know the difference.

Crafsman! Hey now. Stop being mean to yourself and putting yourself down in your videos. You say things like you’re not good at sculpting or you don’t know how to do something. You’re awesome and extremely talented! Your videos are so authentic, creative and educational. It brings me back to my props classes in college…. Except your videos are better. Keep up the good work and love yourself and your talents!
Craftsman your an amazing sculpture! Being fast is not a requirement of being a good sclpture. It comes from the heart.

Crafs man i just have to thank you for such awesome an inspirational tips you have raised me to where i am today on my level of molding abilities and i really appreciate it. 😀
Thank you for this video, you are very cool. I have a little repair project and now I know how I am going to get started.
Nice video! Lots of good tips, and even though I don't think I ever plan to sculpt anything, it's still fun to watch. Good music too as always, always enjoy the music in your videos.
Crafsman, this video is a delight. Thank you.
Hey Crafsman, just wanted to thank you for your videos. The whole family has gotten into them and we've all been inspired. Even the baby laughs and claps if she's in the room when you're on-screen. I've really enjoyed going back and looking at your character designs - I'm gearing up to illustrate a kids' book I just finished writing and your process gave me some great ideas. Also: if you're looking for digital sculpting on PC you can get Sculptris, it's like Zbrush's baby brother. It's technically discontinued but it's free, still available and it works!
First time watching your video. I loved it. I like when people make their videos fun to learn. ❤😊
