We did it! Hendrix has arrived!
This was our first home birth and it was the most beautiful, positive, quick and pain-free birth experience I could have ever imagined. It truly exceeded all of our expectations and I couldn’t be more grateful for this supernatural birth. We felt extremely loved and supported by our birth team and family as we welcomed our baby boy in 2 hours with an extremely unexpected ending!
This birth made me so much more excited about birth than I already am and wish I would’ve done this the first two times. It was absolutely amazing.

For our 1st planned homebirth, we also went for a walk outside with the midwife and my husband. I stopped to vomit. I wonder what some of the people thought. After we got inside, I walked down to the basement and he was born there, while I squatted, much like you delivered your son here! Love that your little guy was born outside!!

Making different sounds in labor is a normal part of the process for many women. Leaning into what my body was doing and making sounds was just a form of following my body’s lead but I experienced zero pain.

@@awerkingmama I've been thinking about it. That makes sense. I can easily groan when opening a really tight jar of something because I'm using my strength but not that I am in pain. Would you say that is an accurate description of how you felt?
