Great Video I have a weber genesis, kettle, weber e6 kamato. Got them in that order,I like the charcoal. But I have a curiosity for pellet smoker for a long smoke. My two that I think are practical and built well and Right size for a family is Gorilla Grills Silverbac, and Recteq 590 Deckboss.

Your neighbor left the keys in the door. Oh yea, grilling comment: I have 5 Webers (I rescued 3 different generations of Weber Perfomers off craigslist) all over 12 years old and one over 20 years old -- all still work just like new. I have one set up specifically for smoking with a Cajun Bandit 10" stacker ring, one set up specifically with a Santa Maria grill, and one set up for variety cooks with Slow and Sear, Rotisserie, and Pizza accessories. Then I have a 25-yo classic 18" Kettle and a 30-yo Smoky Joe, both set up for hot and fast grilling w/ stainless grates and raised coal grates that bring the heat right up to the cooking grates (no relaxing or dilly dally with these cuz you have to be on your game flippin at just the right times). Never tried Fogo, I've used Jealous Devil but I prefer B&B for the the value (they carry a favorite of mine, mesquite as well as various flavors of oak). I often use wood chunks of various types, post oak, mesquite, pecan, hickory, cherry, apple, peach, and pear -- all have unique flavors. Mix and match is fun too, never a dull moment in my charcoal grilling/smoking. Oh, and I use Kingsford briquettes with wood chunks for smoking. I may try the Fogo briquettes? I would also like to try the Weber briquettes. Anyway, your neighbors house is really close to yours.

Try a green mountain grill for a pellet grill. I am on my second one, gave the first to my son. They are the best, have the best customer service and help (not that it is needed that much) based in America, and they are as constant as you can get for temp.

The grills are made in China like I think most of the rest of them, but you get someone in the US when you call with questions or trouble shoot. Mine sits outside in South Dakota, and I had to replace a few things on my first one after about 10 years. Heat sensor ($10) and a combustion fan ($35). I use it about 2 times a week summer or winter. -20 and it fires right up. Put a winter cover on it to conserve pellets. @@tomwadek

Tom, get that Summit Kamado! I bought mine on sale a couple years ago, and I use it all the time. That, with the Typhur Sync and the Slow n Sear, makes cooking on the BBQ easy and fun!

I, too, am a big fan of Fogo charcoal. It is readily available at our local Wild Fork store! Don’t know if you have ever tried Jealous Devil - it is also quite good but more expensive unless you catch a sale somewhere… Cheers!

I have an SNS Kettle with cast iron grates and the firewall from Mallory, the Weber Smokey Mountain, and the Pit Barrel Cooker. I do bigger cuts on the WSM and ribs on the PBC. I’ll have to try the FOGO.
