For the last few years I have been using just the apple calendar, notes and reminders apps and they have everything I need. I do agree the sub task in reminders is puzzling.
Totally agree with the start date and due date. This would make me switch 100%. The ability to have a start and end date for task duration would be great
Incredible… 6 years with my reminders app on iPad and I never knew anything you just taught us. Thanks
Thanks for the in-depth coverage of Reminders. I appreciate your work. Blessings on your day!
Great video! You’ve captured all the goodies here. I love Apple reminders. It gets great improvements each year and I run my life out of it. Very easy to use with Siri and the Kanban view is a huge improvement for project management.
Fantastical links with reminders and shows the reminders on the calendar : )
Another really good video. You can use early reminder for start dates now.
I like how granular you get in this video - super helpful!
Brilliant - this is the video I was so searching for! Thanks for the detailed and perfect setup.
Doing chores right now but definitely coming back later. I have severe CRS (Can’t Remember Stuff) so that inbox idea is perfect
"View as Columns" Thank you for sharing this! Great video.
EXCELLENT video. This is the best deep dive into reminders that I’ve seen.
The best video on this. Thanks Chris
Just learn about this column option! So useful. Thanks a lot.
I complete agree on your request to have Reminders to show in the calendar. Hopefully that is something Apple changes in the future.

I can’t help but to subscribe your channel. The informative video, clarity of the voice, suitable speaking rate for non-english user like me. Thank you!
This video gave me a great overview, thanks! I was looking forward to switching from Microsoft To Do to a native experience. Now it is time to do so
I prefer Things 3 more but will listen to your Reminders review with interest.
Very interesting the points you addressed and the personal cases you shared, have a lot to do with my personal experience with Reminders. This also applies to the criticisms you have made regarding, especially in relation to smart lists and subtasks. The content of your video is very good. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome deep dive into Reminders! Thanks for this video, super helpful. Reminders has come a long way and with iOS 17 I am using it again.
U r a life saver…. Thank you, I learned so much with your channel… shoutout from Brazil.
Another great video, thanks Christopher.

Awesome video as always. You can quickly add subtasks by adding them as if they were regular tasks and then swiping to the right and choose „indent“ (I hope that is what it’s called in English 😬)
Just when I thought I knew all there is to know about the Reminders app - thanks, man!
Great intuitive video Chris.
This is wonderful. Thanks!
17:54 the two things I really are Reminders need a option in the inspector panel to show selected reminder or Today’s reminders in calendar app. And definitely link /auto fill notes from Notes apps to the notes section of Reminders, Calendar and Contacts and have the Notes apps be the reservoir for notes fields of the varying apps. I still find Reminders is a little bit clunky and cumbersome to use. I add Reminders to it, but then I never go back into it since I mainly live in my calendar app but I love the powerfulness of Reminders and the Notes app. I’ll try to incorporate some of your techniques you just showed here, but Apple definitely needs to take a lot of your suggestions and add them to Reminders app. 👍🏾
That calendar 📆 view is the one feature that has kept me from using it. Thanks for great video.
I agree! It must get faster -- don't know how, but it seems pretty time-taking right now. Especially when you're in a hurry, it feels really tedious to add a reminder with the corresponding List, Date, Time etc
Thank you for your video… and yes. I don’t use the sub task for the same reason.
Great tips and video. Thanks 😊
Really cool video, it inspired me to organize my own productivity system with my Apple’s built-in suite! Wanted to point out one thing though, the shortcut you shared works well except for this one small bug. When running the shortcut over a Safari page and using an external keyboard, the shortcut is unable to take in any input from the keyboard. You have to get to on-screen keyboard to show up. Just wanted to put it out there in case anybody else runs into this issue!
THANKS CHRIS 🤗 FOR SHARING THIS 👍😎💚💚💚
@ 14:00 -- you already know this but changing a pdf to an image allows you to attach it to a reminder - - your vids are brutal (that means "amazing" in spanish) - - I bookmark them and rewatch so many times. -- they have so much good info...!!! keep up the good work!! You're the best!
Hey Christopher, You can link a note to a reminders have been able to for quite a few years. It’s kind of a hidden feature but it is doable. Just highlight a portion of your note and the a bar of options pops up. Share is one of those options, then select reminders. You can change the title of the reminder and the folder you want to save it to. Hope that helps. Thanks for all the content you put out. I learn so much from you.

Yes, this works too.
14:19 I may have a work around for adding documents - although it is a little cumbersome. If you have iCloud, you can share a document/file. That link can be pasted in to the Links field and it will attach to the reminder and link back to the file. I hope this helps!
Hi, tks for this video! It was helpful
First time seeing one of your videos and is an immediate Subscribe! I was looking for an alternative to Notion that works offline and makes Kanban boards less complicated. Thanks a lot! I'm glad I have a full Apple Ecosystem to take advantage of all the syncing. Also, I like how U mention all the use cases and not only the average KZreadr video editing workflow

love this video, please do one when you set up your reminders from scratch so I can follow it
Such an informative and emotive tutorial!!! Great pacing, etc. One area of reminders I struggle with: I want to assign reminders to other family members, but NOT have those date bound reminders show up in my “today” view (as I just want to see what I need to do “today”. Is there a way to filer only for my reminders?
I’ve seen the Lego Concorde a few times now in your videos 😊

Great review
Thank you for voicing the weirdness surrounding subtasks and the 'Today' view. Ideally I would like to be able to view the task with its dropdown on any day it or one of its subtasks are due. Not being able to see the subtasks as part of the dropdown in Today, etc. is a huge bummer.
I love the TaskCut shortcut thanks a lot for that! :-) Would it be possible to either adjust this shortcut to include Apple Mail messages as well please?

Thank you for the video. I took a few interesting tips for myself. In the end of the video you said that it would be nice to link note from Notes and task from Reminders. Actually, you can do it. You just have to push “share” button in Notes and there you can add this note to task. Maybe I didn’t understand correctly what you meant.

Great job. About ATTACHING DOCUMENTS, here's a work-around. Since you CAN attach a "JPG"...whenever I need to attach a file like a PDF, I just convert it to a JPG or even take a SCREENSHOT; both of which CAN be attached. It works...just one extra step. HTH
Thank you for your video. How did you add the "someday" group where the "today" and "scheduled" view are?

Connecting more deeply with Notes and accessing existing documents would be nice fixes. Appreciate your thoroughness but maybe with a slower pace or a sections breakdown. Still, you killed it on this one!
HI Chris, great video as always. I’m going a little nuts trying to decide between this app and Things 3 (which I already own). Currently Apple Reminders has a bit of an edge because I can at least access it on a browser in Windows, something I occasionally have to use. Also, Things doesn’t give you a unified week view of your tasks, something I find very useful. My question to you is - of the two apps, which is the more stable, which is better for not losing data and those kind of things. I figure that is critical. Thanks!
Great, now how to create a smart list for TOMORROW's list ONLY?
Great video, really appreciate the time it took to plan this all out for us and put it all together. One quick question - how/why is the Finder icon from macOS in the dock on your iPad Pro?

🤑 I've had some decentwins already. A friend of mine hit big last week, made me wish I'd started earlier
Time stamps would be great. Nice video!😊
17:33 If you want to do a start date you can go and choose Early Reminder under the reminder’s Inspector/Detail screen and then select “Custom” and put in your start date.
I would like you to have the option to select several tasks and subtasks from a list, and when selecting them, a COPY OPTION appears, and you can paste them into a new list. I don't know if this is available on the Macbook, but it's not possible on the iPhone.
Any chance you could do an Apple-only workflow video?
hopefully they change those things. And it would he nice to be able to just move tasks in the Kanban page by just drag and drop it into the desired column, and not exactly in between tests in the desired column
I wish I had the time to set all this stuff up. If it’s not showing in the app by default, I don’t use it unfortunately lol.
Pure firehose. Great insights (good and wishlist). TY
