I use additionally to my pockets 1.) sling bag with every day carry (keys, money + id/credit card pursuit, extra/sun glasses, phone, pen+notebook, personal fork+spoon+knife) which may often be inside 2.) city back pack with bigger stuff like glasses, college block, text books, notebook PC, drink & eat (water bottle and tupperware box).

and it's often one of the easier things to change. I give guitar lessons and one of the first things I give my students as homework is to find a place where their guitar can live, where it's safe enough but they also maintain the easiest possible access to their guitar. this is probably the thing that helps the most to really get the practice in every day.

It's a endless loop of watching this type of video and then think I have achieved something, but in reality you have just watched a video not use the video. If you want to get something useful through this video you can watch it and apply the things that it told you . Then ask yourself "the thing or productivity tools Ali told, are they useful, does they help me mange time or they just take more time". I know that when you start something it usually time to get used to it. But in the end It's up to you.

THANK YOU! There are two things I really can't stand: (1) trying anything without a proper referral from someone whose used it and being disappointed by the results... I hate wasting time; and (2) I HATE being on email lists, but years ago I signed up for Tim Ferris's Five Bullet Fridays and loved the nature of hearing what was working for him in real time. This reminded me of that! Honestly I just watched my first Ali Abdaal video an hour ago when I typed in "best note taking app" on KZread and the title of this video grabbed my attention from the side feed. Now 4 videos in I can see I'll be back as you provide real value!!!! Thanks again!

Don’t do multitasking such as playing games while threadmill and such stuff .acc to my fitness instructors , when you do such things mindfully then it would give better results. And reading while shower is also not a good choice as shower is to relax and rejuvenate yourself and to cleanse the body . Doing these stuff normally will benefit a lot rather than doing it in the mask of productivity . I hope you get my point . Thanks a lot again . Love your videos ❤❤

I have been using a lot of different productivity apps for a long time and my central problem is always difficulty seeing an overview of all tasks/projects/habits to understand how I am progressing overall and how to strategize for the future. Do you transfer the information between apps manually (for intance if you made a note on a idea about a project on a walk would you choose which task app to port it to and do it yourself when you got back?) or have you found functional ways to automate that? Do you use dashboards?

Hey Ali, I really your videos and thanks for knowledge sharing. BUT... The perfect system, is a system which can solve issues. I mean, when you have everything scheduled nothing prevents you to follow the schedule - it's kind of easy, but of course the trick here is to have a good schedule which includes fails. It is pretty hard to me to be on schedule when you have unplanned family obligations. Or when somebody got sick or something else. In my situation everything became broken, I feel exhausted and I can't follow life scripts any more. Please make a video when you describe problems and how do solve them. How are you dealing with bad mood (or are you always happy?) I think nobody can be perfect, so you also have problems and not solved issues. Even perfect software will have bugs sooner or later always. Thanks!

Relatable 100%! Did you find any related pro-tips? It's interruptions that are hurting my daily agenda the most. I miss focusing on one or two projects - instead I have like a dozen that need my attention every day...

@@pietruszqa-netguru I didn't solve my problems. I have only theoretical knowledge which I'm struggling to apply. - find a way to be happy with what you already have, find and create simple happy moments. - make a list of what you like to do, make it as required to do and it should be your first high priority responsibility because it is your body, your life. This list is going to be your resource list, things which increases your internal resources. - once you have more resources you can easily deal with day-to-day problems, ideally you don't even think it was a problem. The core issue is the low level of internal resources. The goal is it increases. But that requires changing your habits and paying attention to yourself first and then everything else. Hope that gives some ideas to move forward.

Yo Ali - great video. You mentioned so many apps but didn't touch on what you use Obsidian for. I see its big enough to be placed in your dock....you mentioned you throw things into Apple notes and then place it in either Notion, Ulysses or Google Docs. What are you using Obsidian for these days?

Interesting and exhausting! Ao, I use my Gmail calendar for everything. I also have a piece of paper on my desk that says "what is the most important thing I need to do today?". This is great because your subconscious always knows. I use the Momentum Chrome extension where I can add my focus tasks if I want to however, I don't, I just use a piece of A4 paper split into 3 sections: today, this week, this month. I add tasks to each section as I think of them and then move them up the page. This stays on my YoYo adjustable desk. I use Notion for my own stuff and Drive with my VA and if I want some calm music I ask Alexa to either play the station Smooth Chill or "Classical For a Relaxing Bath" Naff name but relaxing music!

I've been dedicated to the Strong app for my fitness journey since February 2018, completing a whopping 495 workouts till date! I've been spreading the word to my pals too. This app is my absolute favorite! 😄 Oh, and just a thought - it would be awesome if you could consider adding a foam roller routine. I get it, the gym covers it, but having it as a morning or bedtime routine within the app would be a killer addition! 🏋‍♂🌟

lately I've seen myself going back to the basics, these advanced apps are good maybe if you have special use cases, otherwise, apple notes / one note is just good enough for most things.

I have an idea (i'm sure not only me), I would like to feed all knowledge about myself to chat gpt. It would include information about what you like, what you don't, your preferences your goals long and short, access to the calendar, access to brawser history (to be able automatically understand or predict what you are doing or plan to do), include health trackers, etc. Once everything is collected, ask chat gpt to help with some tasks, remind about your goals or keep track on life balance or help with a schedule, plan vacation (for example, based previous visits and feedback). I think such personal assistant is going to be created soon.
