📚 Reading: Children of Time Watching: Foe

Womb city looks interesting. That's also a book I wanted to read ever since seeing the cover.📚

What a benign response to the live action Last Airbender. I'm watching and finding it to be fine. But t's not from my youth and I don't know the original material. Apparently its sins are multiple. If you want to a good vent on it, Clockwork Reader tears it to shreds and explains ALL the ways it went wrong. She has convinced me that once I finish the Netflix with the bud I watch media with, I should probably go find the anime for the real story.

Got "Too Like the Lightning" on order at the library (we've been circling each other for a while then your rec pushed me over :). And i'll be interested to see how "The Terraformers" lands. Currently reading "The Dangers of Smoking in Bed" by Mariana Enriquez (some good stories and I like her general style but maybe more misses than hits so far for me - maybe it's lost something in the Spanish to English translation ?).

I've heard great things about Womb City!

I'm going to start reading through the Hugo novel list, so I picked up Starter Villain from the library today.

Not sure if someone else has already commented on this, but the Hugo finalists dropped this morning. There's some interesting stuff and some which makes me very happy, though I won't spoil details 📚📚📚

I finished Those Beyond the Wall last night. I really liked it. Not as much as the first one but still very good.

Coming in kinda late for the party, but my plan is VERY simple. I finished Dust of Dreams on the 4th, so now I really plan on reading The Crippled God. I will probably finish it with a sizeable chunk of April left (I'm at 15% of the book, currently, 3 days in), but I'll see what I'll do when I get there. Don't feel like planning this month, specially not after The Crippled God, that's a decision only future me can make

Ah fantastic ! Can't wait to hear your finished thoughts on Horizon FW ( i say that when I also have not finished it hahha). I really liked Into The Riverlands, I think worked for me more than book 1. Excited to continue Terra Ignota, book 1 has just been all I could think about for most of March. Very excited for the new Burning Kingdoms book, and might join the reread to refresh my memory, plus so I can get more Bhumika.

📚 thank you for making me feel better about my own tbr. I'm participating in the Magical readathon, so that's 8 books. Plus the Valdes buddy read plus any library holds that come in. I only got one nebula read on the tbr which is The Terraformers. I couldn't get the 1st Ada Palmer book but I would like to try it out. So when it comes into the library I will try to snatch it. Happy ambitious month all around?

Going to pick up The Veiled Throne next and hoping I’ll have time for The Angel of Indian Lake in April too📚

📚 cool TBR I tried watching the first episode of the live action ATLA and left less than 10 minutes in. A rewatch sounds better.

I'm making my way through the dandelion dynasty by Ken Liu. Loving every minute of it. Such an underrated series😢

I have access to the Where Peace is Lost audiobook on my Storytel subscription, bumped it up my [nebulous] TBR to join you in reading it! I started reading Vorkosigan Saga a few days ago-a fair amount of booktubers and people in the discord communities I'm a part of seem to be reading it, I'm not sure what's causing the resurgence but I'm here for it! I started with Warrior's Apprentice; I'm following Chloe Frizzle's recommended reading order because she's read and loved the series and made a reading order based on the interconnectedness of character arcs I believe. Happy reading!
