It’s amazing how easily this show manages to make Waller look more dangerous, manipulating and calculating than the comics have in the past two years. The comic version of Waller just comes off as a petty, entitled person who is throwing a tantrum at the superhero community

This show is so heartwarming and I'm really glad it's back. The one thing about the previous season and still with this one that I can say that I hate is the show's take on Deathstroke. He just feels like a generic anime character and I can't take him seriously when he sounds like Cyril from Archer and Jerry from Rick and Morty.

4:25 The biggest hint are the kirby crackle design that are tell tale as jack kirby is known the effect. Since Jack Kirby created fourth world characters its fiting.

I wonder who the first super friend Clark will get? He needs at least 1 outside of Kara by the end of season 2.

I enjoy this show. I assumed from season 1 that General Lane realized Clark is Superman. I wonder how the roommate situation will work out. Hopefully Jimmy doesn’t go broke.

For the cyborg Superman, I was so confused like “why does this guy look like Superman?” I love the show. It’s not trying to copy a specific story from the comics it’s doing its own thing and I appreciate that. I will say I feel like they put too much in season one with mr Mxlpitkic. The whole time I was just trying to figure out why is that supposed to be doomsday or Blockbuster? Is that the freaking atomic skull?!?! I love seeing these villains redesigned in this art style. I love the idea of Jimmy being the one to inspire Lex Luther into destroying Superman.

One thing that bothered me was an article by MSN, they claim Lois is xenophobic as she is against superman meeting his cousin due to distrust towards aliens in her father's arc. however she is not to far to worry about that the threat of playing with fire kryptonian tech. however lois arc is justified as she wants to save her dad.

Waller is complex and difficult to do properly. She's not nice, but she's more often on the side of angels than not. Originally she was a rebuttal to "tough on crime" rhetoric so common in the 80s. Because of how she is in the Suicide Squad films, people might be surprised she worked with none other than Barbara Gordon back in the 80s and early 90s.

So with him being a kid named Billy and his phone being red and yellow, you think he's gonna be Shazam some day?

@@grxzzly94note that’s newer comics for him. Older at best his uncle took him in after his parents death which yeah kinda imitates Spider-Man a little bit there. Even in the Justice league animated series and Superman/Shazam short film they use rhat origin for him. So if rhay is Billy/Shazam then they ain’t using uncle takes him in or foster family origin. Unless something happens to his dad later in the show.

there are interesting changes to superman's world: like kara being the same age as clark in the rocket, and the krytonians, and by extensions jor el, are more zod like due to kryton's own destruction. also, the krytonians all died out, due to them being war like. what jor el says to clark is pretty much sums up who superman is as a character for me. episode 2 is what i want more superman stories to be about; this is the type of superman stories i want more often, than we rarely do. the story deals with human issues, that then becomes fantastical but is still about the human issues. the episode deals with child neglect, and how the prison systems makes the prisoners into slaves for the "system". also the fact this story only starts because of clark kent's, lois lane's and jimmy's background as journalist.

I think “Zod” might be Kara as we know she exists and we haven’t seen “Zod’s” face

Another fun thing that plays into and foreshadows the fact Hank Henshaw will eventually become the evil cyborg Superman is the fact that his voice actor is the same as Lex Luthor’s.

I really like the two episodes. It's a great start for season 2!

I just hope lois and clark it doesn't spiral due to their conflicting goals. along with what Kara might have planned.

I think Season 2's off to a great start. I like that we get more information on Krypton as well as confirmation of Kara's appearance. I also like how ARGUS is built up tp be more dangerous than previously thought with numerous human test subjects.

elements I feel that change this world. Kara is this worlds version of Adora aka She-Ra, however she will basically Adoras evil hoard persona arc from Wildstorm.

2:17 I really like how they made Hank Not a rival of Clark for Lois’s affection. I was very worried that be a side plot but they didn’t and I liked it

🤔 I wonder what doomsday is going to look like in this version of the Superman universe. I know that technically they can use Batman due to legal reasons apparently yet they’re able to put in one of his love interest a.k.a. Vicky vale as Perry White’s news rival when it comes to getting the “story of the century” kind of idea. I have a also a theory that for this iteration of the man of steel that they are slowly throwing in other DC characters for him to team up eventually or even encounter since we saw Hank Henshaw aka Cyborg Superman. My first theory is that they’re going to introduced Lois lanes possible love rival and Diana Prince a.k.a. wonder woman and since we are having a little Easter eggs thrown at us, The second part of my theory is that they might throw in Billy Batson a.k.a. Shazam into this new season as like the fan boy that’s trying to be like superman in a sense and being that this is in fact an anime style kind of Superman I wouldn’t be surprised if they made Billy as Izuku Midoriya from MHA. Plus at this point in time I wouldn’t be surprised if we get other classic superman characters revamped in a new light such as bizarro the failed clone version of Superman, maybe the introduction of Nuclear man (aka another clone of Superman and lex luthor), and since we are bringing in Supergirl with a power girl like twist on her introduction we also might get the same thing with Superboy... maybe depending how far they want to go with the story maybe his introduction for season three.

I LOVE the old Superman animated series by Bruce Timm and company.I also liked the animation much better than this current series and I liked the way Clark Kent was portrayed in the Bruce Timm series too.

Y'know, a while back I had a thought about last season and have been holding off on bringing it up until this video came out... So last season was full of villains that were kryptonian tech based... So why didn't we get Toyman? Like seriously, feels like a missed opportunity

I figured it regrew from his body. Since he was torn out of a fucking kaiju biomech, I'm pretty sure there's remnants of said tech that have bonded to him and simply regrew. It's a similar scenario to livewire who developed electric powers after her tech broke.

And I have really been looking for something DC animation that is on that level like X-Men & I really want to Watch a Superman show where he's not evil or snapping necks it destroying cities And this show looks like It's inspired by Post Crisis Era Superman I grew up with from the 90s & this Superman is Wholesome & a nice guy so I really want to watch that 😃 But also I like my Edge of my seat Action & Soap Opera drama like in X-Men I want to watch this I have only seen one episode on KZread

@@A1ml33y i mean this show does deal with "drama"/soap opera type storytelling between characters. which as a side note, more and more superhero fans don't like that a story has "drama" to it's plot. some people would even take it this far, that "all character driven stories are just teenage angst".

@@CapedJoel I seriously wish Wonder Woman had her own Animated Series like this but I feel like I'm never going to see that any time soon as a Lynda Carter Wonder Woman fan 😭 It's like She gets left out when Batman & Superman get animated series all the time . I'm still skeptical of Batman the Caped Crusader & I hope it too is as good as X-Men 97 & BTAS

It's a good show. It's a little too kiddie for me, I like the at times very serious tone of the dcau shows. Or even Young Justice. But I also don't want to compare the dcau to new shows. I do enjoy it.

Season 1 had blood, and a platoon of soldiers getting wiped out by alien fire. The 2nd new episode this week had a subplot about inmate testing and horrors of the American military prison complex. I think you are mistaking a sense of fun/ hunor with "kiddie". The show literally airs at midnight on Adult Swim.

@@CapedJoel True but for me the humor at times under cuts the drama of the moment. And toonami currently only has the one airing block on Saturdays. I enjoy the show but again sometimes the darker moments don't hit as hard as I'd like them to. I wish the show would let those moments settle in more.
