Its creepy to think you have a whole ass family and are on the internet commenting some vulgar ass shit on other women’s pages. You don’t sound too mentally stable, I feel really sorry for your bitter ass and your wife that has to deal with you. Get help musty.

There's a network that already does that. Didn't work out too well. Lots of heartache to combat the happy stories. Also MTV wouldn't take it seriously. They would add on some stupid drama like with catfish. They play up the little things.

I just saw a news report about a man adopted from Chile in the 1980s who found out he was stolen from his birth mother due to a government push to sell poor babies to families abroad. His parents were told the same story your parents were told and it was all a lie. His mother was told her baby had died but he was sold. I thought of you immediately.

Is very probably she was stolen too. In the dictatorship that was in Chile from 1973 till 1990 (Nicole was born in 1987) a lot of babies were stolen from their parents. That story of “the biological mom had too much babies and she can’t afford another one” is not like chilean mom’s act. Im chilean btw

I can relate... For a while I thought about meeting my father... But, he has his own family now.. I grew up with a roof over my head, never went to sleep hungry, I got an education. I realized that sometimes it’s better to leave things in the past, and enjoy the moment. Live for what’s in front of you. Life is too short to worry about what could’ve been.

For 35 years they did not meet for fear of interfering with eachothers families. Now 2 years ago they finally did and it went great and gave so many answers to both sides. You just never know!

Even though she knows who her father is he never comes around because his “new kids” are more important. I try to love her twice as much and give her everything just so I can fill that void.

mayra lopez This is exactly my situation. I grew up in a home with both my parents and siblings, have a son who does not have a father, as he decided to leave after I got pregnant because he didn't want any responsibility. My son has never met him, a total stranger. I feel bad and guilty to my son for not giving him a complete family, growing up in a broken home... has me broken and I fear it will effect him too.. I don't want him to hurt like I have with being abandoned by the person who promised to be in our lives forever. If I could do it over again, I would chain up my son's father in my basement before he ever left, then my son could go down and see his dad everyday.. if only we knew then what we know now. 😜 haha.

A Edwards you do not have a broken home. If you give off that energy of feeling sad and abandoned and sorry for your son then that’s what he will learn. Just live, be happy, be the best parent you can be, ask your dad/brothers to step up if they can to fill the role. When he asks about his father let him know he made the decision that he could not handle fatherhood and that it has nothing to do with him at all.

My little Black/Italian/Greek ass running around telling everyone I was proudly Irish (Grandparents last name was McCoy) in late 1970/early 1980's West Virginia! My mom took a lot of shit from strangers, but she loved me. She's been gone almost 5 years now and tomorrow would have been her 73rd birthday. Idk if you’re into history but have you ever thought about how Pinochet was still the dictator in Chile when you were born. At this time they would take the children from the people opposing him (or desaparecidos), and giving them to adoption agencies. Have you ever thought of finding the agency your parents used and figuring out if you were taken from your mom illegally? Maybe she’s been looking for you but has no where to start... idk just a thought.

I find it awful when adoptive parents don't want to talk about the adoption or try to hide the truth. It is your right to know. They decided to adopt, they were blessed with you, and they knew the day would come when you'd ask questions. How does anyone have the right to hide your own identity from you? If you have a great relationship with your child you should never feel threatened by them finding their biological family.

maurapukiki I second this. My adoptive mother would say she'd support my curiosity in front of other family members, but made me feel bad about it when no one was looking. I've got zero sympathy for her. It amazes me the number of people who adopt and think they can get away with guilt tripping their adopted children for wanting answers about their identity.

I’m not interested in finding my bio parents at all atm, but I’m thankful that my parents are happy to support me through that process if I find myself more interested in the future.

I think I have a theory on why they don't want to talk about it... She was born in 1987, right in the middle of the Pinochet regime, during that time there was a MASSIVE newborn kidnapping ring that was STATE-SPONSORED, this was to make money for the Dictatorship. There's a BIG BIG possibility that Nicole was kidnapped as a child, this could explain why their parents were so secretive about her adoption, there's a possibility they somewhat knew where she camefrom.

The reality is that people like Snooki who become famous are able to 'table' their adoption because they are successful and don't have to or want to think of the other side that likely is not pristine and filled with positivity that her overall life has today. It would take some work to peel back all the layers with her, likely not possible, but if so, I think we'd find the same wounded adoptee at the core. She eluded to many key things we adoptees experience but she's simply not in touch with them and many adoptees are not and why they do present adoption as being more wonderful. I'm alright with adoptees expressing a happy adoption experience as long as they're in touch with the other side and have done the work to sort it out. Very few do and hence why adoptee often find themselves on opposite sides. We're more connected than is allowed to be realized. That's simply the impact of the adoption industry and what is predominantly promoted.

Thanks so much for sharing such a personal story, Nicole! It's so amazing that you were adopted into a loving home and had such a happy life. I definitely think you should do a show on mtv showing the process of finding your birth parents and siblings and going to Chile to meet them. That would be sooo amazing for you! Your kids would have aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, etc. You'd gain a whole other family and probably learn alot about yourself and your heritage. It wouldn't replace your adopted parents but it would just add more love and happiness to your life and your kids lives by connecting with them. Plus it would just be cool to go see where you were born. Thanks again for being so open and transparent with your followers. ❤️

I’m the only child, too, I’m also bitter about it and ended up having two kids back to back just to ensure they would have each other. Loved your story and glad you have a wonderful family!

Thank you for sharing this. I was adopted as well... by my grandparents. I have had the most amazing life and am so grateful for it. What you shared about your parents loving you enough to give you a better life really resonated with me. My mother was young and made the same decision. I knew was adopted for a long time, I found the papers when I was around six; but, I didn't say anything about it. It was much, much later that I actually found out that my "sister" was my mother. Again, thank you for sharing that.

Loved this! I can relate, I too was adopted from Santiago Chile at the age of 6months. When Jersey Shore first aired a lot of people told me I looked like you. And when you said you don't speak Spanish and failed it 3 times, I couldn't believe it, so did I! Not saying we are related but I just think it's so neat how similar some aspects of our lives are. Your a beautiful girl, thank you for sharing your story 💜

My mom was adopted and her story was so horrible that I became a foster parent. I adopted 3 legally and fostered about 30 plus kids and I have to say it was one of the most rewarding jobs EVER! To help a child and show them love something they hadn't been shown in along time if EVER is an AMAZING feeling. Nicole your amazing for sharing your story a lot of young women and women in general look up to you ( I being one of them) so thank you for sharing your story💯😘

I had pretty much the same situation as you growing up knowing I was adopted, being super content with it, and loving my family. The only difference is my parents know who my biological parents were, turns out they were only 16 when they had me. After growing more in more interested (especially about who I looked like!!!) when I turned 18 I flew to Texas (from NY) to meet them, and it was the greatest experience of my life. I had developed a newfound respect for them for loving me so much and giving me the life that they did with my amazing family. Definitely meet them if you get the chance! It filled a void in my life that I didn’t even know I had ❤️

Have you ever thought that you were one of the kidnapped children giving in adoption. There are many adopted parents that did everything right and had no idea but the government was so corrupt. Maybe your birth parents DID want you and they took you away from them. It is a hard topic for you but you should give it a chance.

Yes you should look into this. My mother was born in 1976 in Chile Santiago. Her adoption parents from Los Angeles, CA told her that her family abandoned her. When my mother had me with my father who is black(my mother is from Chile and my father is black from LA) but when my mother had me she she looked for her real parents , her parents from Chile been looking for her for years . My grandmother almost died when she had my mom and my grandfather was asking for his daughter but hospital officials say wouldn't give information and my grandparents was afraid because of the problems they was facing in Chile at the time. My mother found her birth parents in 1993 and took me to meet them. So long story short pls look for your parent because at the time when women was having children they took the babies and gave them up

That's so insane to me. Image going to a hospital to deliver your baby and the hospital officials take them away from you without your consent. I'm so glad your mother was able to reconnect with her family. ❤

My daughter was born during Jersey Shore hay day. And I named my daughter Nicole because I learned to love the name thanks to you.
