Hey Lizzie! I'm Holly and I'm 15 years old. May 2013 I ruptured my ACL, MCL and tore my PCL. Playing Football, yeh the sport thing is true haha. Because of complications with my injury I was told that I would never be able to walk again without a brace, you can imagine how down I was. Fortunately we found my surgeon who took me on as an experimental operation. I am now just over 9 months post op from having my ACL and MCL reconstructed and I CAN WALK. I can even jog straight line and do bits of cycling. Tearing any ligament in your knee is a rough ride and you'll understand exactly what I mean when I say that the physio is what makes or breaks it. I currently do 2 hrs a day every day but it's worth it. I think you summarised it really nicely in this video thanks for sharing :) I had a hamstring graft too, one from each leg because I had two reconstructions. For anyone really sporty it's such a bummer being out for such a long time. You seem to have got through it really well :) x

I tore my acl and meniscus this year cheering of all the times I could injure my knee it happened during my senior year and I was so upset and cried pretty much everyday after surgery. This is common in cheer leading as well

Thanks so much for posting this! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that FREAKS me OUT!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
