My mom hated makeup on me. She always told me I was too young for it. So I would sneak my children's makeup at 9 years old in the car. Swipe some eyeshadow on in the back and my mom would get furious I had yellowy green eyelids and sheer lipgloss. And she couldn't do anything about it because we were in the mall's parking lot. I did something similar to school since my mom had to go to work earlier than me. And people said I looked pretty in purple eyeshadow. Mind you I was 11/12 here. Now I'm a full on makeup addict and I've even done my mom's eyeshadow for her friend's birthday party and she loved it! It was a simple brown kind of smokey eye look.

I’m simply providing a reason as to why they might think that way. We'd both be wasting our time, so please read the entirety of my reply before you respond with my exact point. I guess it’s partially because of the potential risk dying your hair too frequently or just bleaching it in general. One of my friends bleached their hair a while ago and now it’s all dead 😔 It may also be because parents want their children to be “all natural”. I find this reason to be pretty stupid though; it’s if they view having kids as a power struggle and want control over their child’s entire life

Honestly the advice I can give you is don’t be afraid to let her dye her hair. I started dying my hair when I was 14 and my mom used it as a bonding experience to get appointments at the same time at the hair salon. (Granted she was never doing outgoing colors like me). In the end “permanent hair dye” isn’t exactly permanent. Hair grows out and the color will fade. If your still curious about semi permanent dyes I will recommend the brand arctic fox.
@ekohw
Жыл бұрын
and assuming they have the money, she can always go back to a natural color when it fades I think doing it when you're young is the best because if you do it one or two times, when you're 12-14 your won't have damaged hair through your teens, and at that point you can make an educated decision on bleaching it ect

Googled it, and at least Kleracolor warns in their own sites that it's not safe for children. Always check dye product warnings when it comes to dyeing hair of a child, because they have weaker skin and finer hair than adults, so what's safe for an adult can often harm a child. Also can't be used on animals.

Then one year she finally let them grow out. Even though I didn’t know her, it kind of made me sad. I asked her why she did it, and she sort of shrugged and said she needed a change. Even though we weren’t friends, I was invested in the story of her hair. Coloured hair makes you unique. It’s a conversation starter, and it makes the world more colourful. I endorse her love of coloured hair. Maybe it will help her with making friends, as it’s something that makes her interesting. Sorry for the sad ending to my story btw.

Yes 👏👏👏👏 !! Love this so much! Letting her express herself in a way that makes you both happy. Love it ❤
Honestly the advice I can give you is don’t be afraid to let her dye her hair.
@ekohw
Жыл бұрын
and assuming they have the money, she can always go back to a natural color when it fades I think doing it when you're young is the best because if you do it one or two times, when you're 12-14 your won't have damaged hair through your teens, and at that point you can make an educated decision on bleaching it ect

This is the best way to let little ones have colorful hair. Also can't be used on animals.

I remember there was one girl in my elementary school. She had a couple coloured streaks in her hair and she changed the colour every year for like 6 years.
This warmed my heart so much!!! You don't see a whole lot of dedicated moms anymore. Thank you for spreading that joy. 😊

What my mom does : If we get good grades all year around we get to dye the tips of our hair for summer. Whatever color we want. By the time school starts back up it should be faded and if not just cut the ends off. Super easy and you can do it at home! 😊
“Are you serious right neow bruh”
Thous hair clips are my childhood 😅😂❤ remember when it use to be a trend 😅
Henna hair dye would be a good idea for her and you can also boil some sugar free packets of kool-aid powder, put it in a bowl and while it's still hot dip some of her hair in. (Dont forget to rinse her hair) alsp when she washes her hair dint be surprised when some of the dye cimes out bc it lasts for a long time and its supposed to be that way when she washes 😊 I did it and since I have dark brown hair I used 11 packs of it lol it showed up soo well (i did red kool-aid powder) but yea henna hair dye is a natural dye and will last a long time and won't damage her hair but it only comes in brown black and red. Just some ideas ❤
