I actually LOVE the look of having pieces of her real hair throughout! I think it gives it more dimension and makes it look more like "hers." I think I'll try and add in more of mine in on purpose. This is so cool! I didn't realize how easy it was to add in fake hair. I'll definitely try this on my mom who has thin, fine hair. Thanks!

I am totally rocking this on festivals. I have a difficulty doing the usual feed in braids and this video made it easier for me to follow. I can easily to it myself. Mermaid hair 😍😍😍

Been trying to figure out how to Dutch braid forever and this was the most easiest video to follow one I’ve found! And the extensions??? Omg I’m buying some now to try on my little girl!!

This is Beautiful! ❤️This isn't a feed in braid where I'm from. This braid here would fit in with the goddess braids because of the size and your technique. I don't think feedin braids are easy. This is a cornrow with extensions / jumbo goddess braids. Feedin braids are done different and they look different. Where I'm from but everywhere is different. 💕

Omg where was this when I was growing up!? It’s so fun and lets you change up your look whenever you want with fun colors without damaging your hair! Im so doing this from now on!

I’m older than that, and I wanted them too💗. I just do temporary braids for water aerobics class and match the colors to my rashguard tops, and remove them after class. Basically, I take a section of colored braiding hair, and at the middle, clove hitch a soft brown thick hair band, cinching as tight as I can, then lock it in just underneath with a clear rubber band around the whole extension. This leaves the extension with a brown loop of hair elastic secured at the end. I use them same soft brown bands to tie my own hair into either a ponytail or pigtails, then take the brown hair tie on the extension and double loop it around the base of my pony or pigtails. After it’s secured, I can divide the colored extension in half and braid my own hair with it, securing the end of the braid with another clear tie. I have colored plumeria claw clips from Amazon that I clip into the top of the pig or ponytail to hide the brown elastics, and ta-da, I’m ready to go. 🌸🌺 I love the look of these braid-in extensions on the video, but am not coordinated enough to do them on myself.🤷‍♀️

I have watched a handful of videos on how to use braiding hair in Dutch braids on myself and I could never do actually do it. This video makes SO. MUCH. SENSE! I can't wait to try this technique on myself! Thank you for sharing 💜

Hi I just wanted to tell you Thank YOU so much for this tutorial. I tried to 'feed in braids' the original method and I noticed that the colored hair I used doesn't really pop. Then I found this video and decided to give it a go, My 3yr old loved it!!! You can see the hair so much better and very vibrant. This method was genius, I definitely recommend for anyone who wants a dramatic pop of color in their braids.

These aren’t feed in braids lol. Feed in braids you take small sections of the extensions and add it in as you go down the head rather than taking the whole piece and braiding it in. Very cute style tho! The pink and blue ombré is very pretty 😊

I have to beg my daughter to do her hair, she's 8 and I tell her all the time she's lucky to have a mom that can and wants to braid her hair, because there are other little girls that want it but can't. she finally let me today and I added some gold glitter hair paint through the two braids. I did this on my daughter for her birthday party and the only downside was the hair wasn’t really long enough. I think I’ll use your other method next time BUT use the thread through method for the first stitch to keep it nice and tight at the start which is where I struggle. I will say this, I showed my African friends photos and they were so impressed! They said they called them banana braids and they are apparently very tough to do on their Afro type hair. I was very proud of myself as they wear the coolest feed in braids and corn rows. Maybe they were just being kind ;-))
