Maya.....if I may suggest....a video of your life before Portugal! I'm sure I speak for many subscribers we all would love to know more of who you are and where you came from and what you've done! Give us a life story so far!
Please maya, be very careful, I would not like to hear about a bad accident. You don’t deserve that. Please put plenty of props up, safety first it’s not worth the risk. Love your channel.
Maya, I love your videos! Don’t be afraid to use a weight lifters belt to help support your back when lifting heavy items.

I wear a back support brace for all strenuous jobs. I lifesaver!

agreed
Hi maya. I didn’t know you were an architect. That’s a bonus.
Must be really nice to be able to relax after hard work in your new warm room!
Next to the support, you should wash-rinse of all dust and sand-mud of the stones before motaring them. And make sure they are soaked so they do not take the moister out of the mortar and have maximum cohesion with the mortar. Good luck!

@@BARBIEJA4ANDI- I'm very surprised if that is so, based on her approach. Maya did admit that before owning this home she had never built anything personally. She is tenacious and I commend her resilience. Much of her applied experiments in renovation scare me! I have an emphasis in interior design, we learn about torsion forces, foundation technology and materials for safety.
Admire the way you work side by side with the builders, and continue after they have gone home.
Putting your own electrical outlets in. You are amazing!
Hi maya, I've been watching your channel from the beginning and it's great to see you progressing each episode, keep up the great work 👍
Never a dull moment with Maya around😂😂❤❤
Such grace and understanding on your part through such a taxing and trying endeavor! Your warm personality and always present smile brings back your followers time and time again! Grace under pressure is such a rare thing but also one of the beautiful when put on display for the world to see! Kudos to you, Maya! Until next time have a blessed and prosperous week ahead!
6:38 kind of makes sense that you’ll have some cracks upstairs if your shifting the walls below. Even if you had propped up the balcony. But now you know for the next building start from the ground up and wait on finishing touches until all structural work is completed. Stay well.
We are all glad you are alright. Yes, get professional help with load-bearing renovations. Punching through a wall under a large balcony?!! Omg! Be safe. ❤
if finances allow buy some acrow props or similar often can be found used youll find you use them often much safer. good work well done.
Love the fact that you included the goofy "yay dance", well deserved all around 😊👍
@Maya, you must be on something...perhaps Heineken Beers...that reaches part that other beers cannot. Always full of beans inspirational. You remind me on life on construction site. There is always one person with your personality that carries everyone else.
Oops...cantilevered out from the house..UNDERSTAND ..YOU MUST SUPPORT LOAD WHEN REPAIRING PIVOT POINT..!! You are lucky...do not do it like you have done...support the BALCONY..!
Wooow.
Another priority project should be grading a driveway so you can drive down heavy items and get deliveries properly. It's pretty fundamental at this point.

Also, it is time to sink load- bearing posts to ensure the balcony has more than one safety against gravity and crown it with a railing. Maya may be part cat, but I get nervous watching her dangle from that balcony!
Hi Maya, I’ve been watching you from the beginning you are a beautiful, strong woman. God bless you and keep going skies the limit.❤🙏🙏🙏
I think your drawings for the bathroom, bedroom and utility room will look great x
Maya I find you irresistable, and terribly capable, keep making us happy!
Hi maya, after 3 episodes of running the vlog, I finally ended up as your new subscriber... Your work are really super cool... Congratulations and kudos to what you're doing so far
Love your channel and your dancing 💃Just wish I didn't have to wait all week to see you again! ❤
Maya , you are always amazing and gorgeous
You’re amazing 💪🏻🫶🏻
Nice to see you like to work hard for what you want. All the best from Canada.
New here to your channel, I really enjoy watching the House's come together. You're a very hard worker, stay safe 😊
I can totally see why you'd want to open up those walls; that view!
Maya you have done amazing work on your abandonment house and giving a new life and you are doing it so beautiful .
Stay awesome and keep dancing Maya x
Omg yeesssss for these kind of plans I have been waiting :) love to see your vision and what style you are going for. More please 😍😍

Also.. didnt know you studied architecture 😍 Did you consider to maybe post a Q&A? ☺️
The window is going to look lovely - can't wait to see it installed!❤👍😊👍
Ouch, that was a close call Maya! Agro crops are definitely useful to have, but really glad that it all worked out ok! We are all learning along with you as we follow your journey to rebuild your home.
Hi Maya. If it is legally possible, it would be worth moving the water wheel to some structure in that river, there is sufficient water flow and it should generate electricity for 24 hours. And a larger generator would certainly tighten the wheel.
I always watch your video with my boys. The need to learn be self sufficient and motive like you ❤
All that weight of the balcony sure doesn’t help. Kinda why I mentioned I would have cut posts to support it last week. You can clearly see angled posts on the smaller balcony on the other structure. It just provides more strength and better weight transfer to the ground or foundation rather than relying on prayer and gravity. And yes, I do understand that there are literally millions of unsupported concrete balconies in high rises around the world but those are high psi 6-8 inch or 15-20 cm thick. I just want her to be safe and all the expense and effort to last a lifetime and not cause issues in the near future. Cheers.
Maya, it’s too bad KZread made you re-edit this. It’s important to show successes as well as failures because the community can help you. I’m just saying’.
So nice ! You do great job! Keep going!
Dear Maya, please get in touch with the structural engineer from Denmark for some advice, you have done a super job so far.
Well done Maya. Another step forward in the rebuild. Take care of yourself please 😊😊😊😊
Love youre videos ....That sunset was something else ...would love to see you with a greenhouse so you can grow more. ...proud of all youre achievements watching from Australia
Wow so much work, and such a labor-intensive work. Great job
❤ GLAD IT ALL WORKED OUT IN THE END
Maya you are an inspiration for the female DIY !🦄 enjoy watching your journey from Canada
Somehow I really hope you learned something. The first beams you put in are designed for abobadilhas in ceilings and are not really good for lintels. Fortunately you bought the correct ones for the second window. Could not really see well the bearings, but they seemed to be kind of small for a stone wall. Finally, buy some steel props if you want to replace the floors in your other buidings - much safer and faster building.
I love your videos, and you did such a great work with the house! I don't know if I am missing something, if you explained before, but I can't help but wonder where's the kitchen hahahaha
Hi Maya, can I suggest you think about selling the Corsa and getting a van or a pick up. That age of Corsa is a classic and if you sell it before it gets damaged from carrying concrete around you could get thousands for that car
Maya, you are full of suprises. Great work.stay safe.💚
You’re simply the best!!!!! I absolutely love everything you’ve done. Best of luck.
hab dich erst vor kurzem entdeckt. Ich mag deine Videos, wie sie geschnitten sind und die Inhalte- mach weiter so!💪
Great job on the windows you are a amazing woman. Take care of your back.
Love your plans Best of luck to you
Maya you should be proud you did an amazing job on the window frame. The plans for the stone house are lovely, looking forward to the transformation x
I love your vids they are so satisfying! As i really want to do this when i am older ❤
I'm taking this as my sign to go do some yoga. Love from America!
Hi Maya, your project is awesome. Just wanted to speculate that the big wall was probably intended to eventually be the stairway. What you have is the closed stringer on one side. A second parallel wall or stringer is still missing. The offset blocks sticking out would have served as tread supports. Of course, it should have been built with both stringers and footings from the bottom up. Also, I hope you are saving the floor stones you just pulled out of the bathroom floor for future stairs or patios. Have fun!
I’m really enjoying this series, you’re getting so much done! Would love to see more of the plants/gardening aspect of the homestead when you get there!
It's been fun watching you gain all these building skills. You must feel very accomplished. It will all turn out so nicely. At some point, please considering doing a Q&A video of how your family decided to relocate to Portugal. Did they go first and then you followed? Let us know how this came about.
That fireplace is beautiful.
I greatly admire your determination and work ethic. Keep going and we will all be here cheering you on.
i enjoy your videos so much i actually watch them twice!!! you should be so so proud
Amazing to see you do some yoga for your back strength
The water sound and views are spectacular, nothing beats the sounds of nature …. It’s tuned to the perfect frequency that stimulates peace and happiness in all of us. Would be nice if they would ban the chemtrails and stop poisoning our air, land and water.
I found your channel and love your videos. It reminds me of Dowwnieville Ca. We're I live. It's great watching someone learning as you go. You have a very beautiful homestead and I enjoy you and all your friends energy. I have a deep love for old rock buildings and watching them coming back to life. Great job & thank you for bringing me along on your journey. Cheers
What a warrior! You GO, girl!
sieht gut aus, weiter so!
Great to see your motivation!!! Well done 👍
I applaud your effort. live your dream
That was quite obvious when you entirely excavated well compressed internal soil from the house walls. You loosen the belt that holds house walls, it's better to do that step by step enforcing the belt. Making the hole should have been done prior to excavation as well.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you Maya, good work 👍😁💪👌.
Again, your energy is contagious! Another awesome video!
also safety maya scaffolding and a hard hat you could have a nasty accident
I have been a subscriber since your first video before you move on to the land , I am amazed how much you have done in just over a year i wait for your video every sunday , Be careful now you are moving on to the bigger renovations them walls are so thick , Stay safe and be proud of what you have accomplished ❤️ ❤🎉
Oooph, yeah. I couldn’t watch that. So glad you’re all ok!
Maya Feliz, you are fantastic, you know how to tackle things and are making good progress. I have been following you for a while now and I always enjoy your activities, cheerfulness and your zest for life. I will continue to follow and watch for a while, fantastic! Wishing you continued success and for a long time to come. Greetings from the Netherlands! J.C. Moes.(72) Lelystad. 🌹🌹🌹
As an added bonus , they just did this video on a Beautiful Book Store called Livraria Lello, in Porto, Portugal. Portugal must have some of the most amazing things to do and see. It would be an adventure just to go there and explore.... I can see why you are so in love with living there.....
Have you thought about putting a spiral staircase between your 2 floors so you don’t have to go outside to access the loo!❤️✨
I appreciate your very industrial construction in a beautiful location. Thanks for the videos.
Keep dancing. I was nervous watching, that balcony scares me too.
Was mir als Nachtpinkler fehlt in deinen Zeichnungen ist ein trockener und warmer Weg zum Badezimmer. Vielleicht kann man ein geschlossenes Treppenhaus an die Seite bauen.
Maya your content is getting addictive
🎉🎉🎉 What a beautiful amazing project. I’ve been watching the progress on your home for a long time now and just love it 😊. Everything looks so awesome over there. Keep on filming and I’ll keep on watching. Blessings from Paso Robles, California, Carlos
Your place is beautiful wish I can come visit am all the way in Trinidad and Tobago
Maya I find more useful than weightlifting belt, is a WIDE elastic belt with hook and loop/velcro closure. Put it on before you start the work day. Thanks for posting and sharing. Nice yoga sequence.
Be safe because I l9ve your vlogs! I live in Cornwall and enjoy beaches similar to yours. Can't wait to see how you get on. Thank you for sharing x
Wow Maya, it's starting to look good, will be so nice when you have both windows in that space ❤❤❤❤
Thank you lovely, well done : )
Your stone house is looking very nice. Keep up the good work.
maybe staircase outside the house, inside let's say a glass tower or something like that, from the top level to the ground level just not to put clothes on to go to the bathroom, anyway great job. very inspiring
Looks amazing xxxx
Nice new large window Maya, all your hard work is paying off...Enjoy life swim at the beach get some sun...maybe beer and pizza...
Hello Maya ! Have taken so much interest in watching you and everything that you are doing for this dream home. Looked it up and you are 3,920 miles away, and yet because of the wonderful world of the internet, it makes it feel like you could be a neighbor. I almost want to give you the nickname "Dancer". Still enjoy watching you do these little moments of joy when you just take a couple of minutes and kick it... Hope you have a great day " Dancer " .
so proud of how you are doing the improvements of your home!!! woman power❤❤❤
I enjoyed your video.
Hola maya comencé a ver tus videos hace poco.
Maya, it looks great. Agree with some of the comments of putting in supports.. you’ve come such a long way with your dream. An accident would be devastating after all your efforts. As always I admire your hard work and willingness to learn. Love your plans. Will the room off the bathroom have outdoor access? I love that you’re mixing old with new. Look forward to the next video 😊
I would be very interested in how you found and acquired the property.
Hi from Italy, What you have achieved by not giving up is amazing. I love Nazare beach so amazing would like to go there again one day.
wild guessing, you're in Monchique/Espinhaço de Cão mountains area?? Keep up the good spirit and work! Cheers from São Brás de Alportel mountain area 🙂
